My daughter had violin lessons with Ms Amy for a year. We loved the convenience of having lessons in our own home with a great teacher, as her lessons were taught privately via Skype. Our only regret was that it would have been even better to work with her in person, but seeing as we lived in another state, that wasn't an option for us. Ms Amy was a great teacher! She was an inspiration to our daughter and helped her to love the violin.
Super responsive and super great guy. His technician was delayed in a fender bender on the way to my tuning appointment, so Alex himself jumped in the car and came to my home (all the way from El Cajon to Carlsbad!). My piano sounds great - thank you. I will use you again!
I highly recommend GreenTree and Sidney!! Coordinating piano lessons and other artistic endeavors with Sidney was an effortlesss and pleasant task. He made it happen and initiated some remarkable lessons. GreenTree is on speed dial for our next visit to OC.
I have been taking violin lessons from Alex for several months now, and it is great! I am so happy I finally found a location that is close to my home, flexible and enjoyable! I am a older student, starting up on the violin after not playing for almost a decade and it has been a really fun experience so far! Looking forward to more lessons in the future! Thank you A Dawn of Music Studios!
I have recently started to take violin lessons with Ms. Zabenova. She is knowledgeable, patient and observant. Ms. Zabenova is able to see my strengths and weaknesses. Her teaching style is clear and flexible. I am looking forward to working with her and making progress.
Our 5 year-old has improved a great deal while taking lessons with Amy. She has made it fun and has personalized her lessons to his interest and developmental stage. He now has a better posture while playing and has started to read music.
I've been playing violin almost my whole life but after I graduated from school I haven't been taking any formal lessons and relied on my orchestra and ensemble peers and section leaders for feedback and guidance. Clearly, it wasn't enough and at some point I realized that I desperately needed someone who could help me to grow and become a better violin player as my technique had been degrading ever since I graduated. So the stars aligned really well and I met Ulyana! I have to admit that I never felt like I (I, not someone else!) was playing the violin. Even in my best years back in school there always'd been some slight inconvenience in my right hand that I couldn't really control and fix. Somehow Ulyana was able to find the right words and exercises for me to change it and turn it into a controllable process for me! Moreover, my left hand technique seems to have improved and I'm now working on the concerto that I wouldn't have dared to work on before due to some really high notes. I feel truly blessed I got to meet Ulyana! These lessons feel like the best thing I've been doing for myself in a really-really long time! I certainly recommend Ulyana to all new and progressing violin players.
I took Violin lessons with Nader for about eight years, and I can confidently say that those eight years made me the musician that I am today. When I first met with Nader, I could barely scratch out an elementary level piece. However, I do believe that I can now play any piece with the ability and technique I learned from Nader. Each lesson consists of scales and arpeggios, scale studies, etudes, bow studies, and one or two pieces of music. Nader teaches with an emphasis on the fundamentals (scales, arpeggios, scale studies, etc.) so as to build the best foundation possible. As far as music goes, the pieces vary with respect to time period and style. Over the years I played and performed several Baroque pieces (Bach Sonatas and Partitas, Leclair Sonata) some Classical pieces (Mozart Violin Concerto) and many Romantic pieces (to name a few: Wienawski Violin Concerto, Debussys Claire De Lune, Brahms Hungarian Dance, Saint-Saens Introduction et. Rondo Capriccioso, Bruch Violin Concerto, Manuel de Fallas Asturiana) and a few modern pieces (e.g. Barbers Violin Concerto). For the beginning student, Nader usually chooses a few selections from the Suzuki books, although he doesnt necessarily teach the Suzuki method. He will also incorporate sight singing (Melodia) and ear training into the lesson to ensure that the student develops and sharpens a proper musical ear. Over the years I was introduced to and learned many of the important techniques associated with stringed instruments (e.g. vibrato, octaves, fingered octaves, double and triple stops, chords, artificial harmonics, Spicatto, Staccato (and other common bow manipulations), proper shifting between all positions, pizzicato, phrasing, etc.) He has an extensive knowledge of technique and composition which he uses to give the student the best education possible on the matter. Nader also makes sure the student understands that there is more to music than simply playing the notes. He teaches how to phrase and incorporate ones own musicality into the piece. He also teaches the student about the culture and history surrounding the composer/piece that they are working on. This is not only informative, but also keeps one interested even if they find the piece difficult or frustrating. There is an annual concert where all the students perform the pieces they had been working on with Nader. This is a fun event with a relaxed yet professional atmosphere where students can showcase their talent and technical improvement. I always enjoyed these concerts as they were a tangible reminder of my own improvement and achievements. In retrospect, I found my lessons with Nader to be a very well-rounded experience. Not only did I learn how to play an instrument, but I learned how to be a musician. He is an awesome teacher and I cherish the time I spent learning from him; I wouldn't trade my experiences with Nader for anything. He always pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of and I learned so much from that. He is a very amiable, patient, passionate, generous, and patient teacher, so dont be afraid to call! Whether you are young or old, beginner or advanced, there is always more to learn. Let Nader be your next teacher!
We are thrilled to have found Mr. Rotzler. In just a few lessons he has taught our 14 year old things she has never been taught before in spite of having 4 previous violin teachers. Mr. Rotzler is not only exceptionally talented on the violin, but he also knows how to teach it! His dynamic personality makes the lessons fun while at the same time teaching proper technique. He is also very positive and motivating to students of all levels and inspires them to do their best.
My experience with Linda was very positive. Linda is a very patient, knowledgeable, and mild mannered teacher. She is clear and concise with direction and explains things so that my sons understood what they were doing right, what they needed to improvement on, and what the expectations were. Linda was punctual and ready at my sons lesson start times and had each of their sessions well planned out. She is dedicated to them learning piano and seeing them progress. I would not hesitate to refer her service to anyone who wants their child to learn music.
My son has been has been taking piano lessons for a few years. The instructors are amazing. I highly recommend US Music Lessons.
Gina is a wonderful violin teacher! She is patient and kind and works at my pace; however, she pushes me past what I think are my limits. I was afraid that taking up the violin as an adult would be overwhelming, but Gina has made the whole learning process a joy! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring teacher with attention to detail.
Mr. Graf was my very first music teacher. Amazing man. He encouraged me to explore multiple instruments, and made learning to play, read, and make music exciting and fun. I will never forget his passion, energy, and his awesome hair

Mr. Violin has been teaching my 13 year-old son violin for 4 years give or take. He’s great. He’s exercises lots of patience. He provides variety in lessons, squeezing a lot in one lesson. My son learns scales, classics, and other songs based off his interests and familiarity. He’s always very pleasant. You can tell he enjoys what he does.
