My daughter Caroline has been going to Coastal Music Studios since January and really enjoys her voice lessons. She received a gift certificate for a series of lessons from her grandmother as a Christmas gift. Andy was really great at working with my mother long distance, connecting the two families (as we had both made inquiries) and getting the gift certificate out to my daughter by Christmas. We initially contacted Coastal Music as my daughter LOVES to sing in the car - and as a soccer family we spend a lot of time in the car! Sometimes the singing needed some help. After only 10 weeks of lessons, we can clearly hear a difference in my daughter's voice and enunciation. The singalong sessions are a lot of fun now and we get to appreciate Caroline's beautiful voice - who knows, Caroline may be referring me to singing lessons next!
Great experience! Very flexible and friendly. Stress free sessions and he is very knowledgable and shares that knowledge with as well as singing.
I am so glad we found Ryan for private piano lessons for my son. My son tried group lessons but never seemed to have enough instructor time and became frustrated with how it was taught. Ryan is flexible with his teaching methods as to mesh with how my son learns to play. My son enjoys and looks forward to his lessons each week. I highly recommend Ryan for private piano lessons- JO
Her years of experience and knowledge proves to be true just within the first session. She has a genuine love for singing and for teaching others no matter where they are at in their journey. I greatly appreciate her openness and excitement every time we get together.
First singing lessons one on one in my entire life and I had the best time of my life. I have the best vocal coach ever! She's very understanding and is pushing me to be great, believe in myself, and be confident. Great times!! I'm enjoying my experience! Thank you Thumbtack and the Makahele Family! Wesley Johnson
I once took some group singing lessons from Tricia, though I had never tried any voice training before. It was quite fun and Tricia can show a beginner how to practice to improve the voice as well as boost some self-confidence about singing in front of people. She also helped me correct my speech so that people can hear me more clearly. Her amazing ears can capture exactly what it is for each individual to improve on either speech or singing. Tricia is a person with very powerful spirit, so just being in her presence is quite energizing. She can work with professionals and much more advanced students too, so I believe that all levels of people have something to benefit from her lessons. Mahalo nui loa, Tricia!
Reverb Lessons set me up with Josh. I have 3 young kids, 2 are special needs kids and Josh works with them all very well. I'm really pleased with his patience, humor and skill level. He gets them motivated by making lessons fun.
Elizabeth is an exceptional vocal coach. She teaches you how to sing in a healthy way. Elizabeth is able to quickly identify what you need to do to physically and musically to bring out the best performance.
My daughter Sarah was frightened to go before an audience. She even refused to rehearse her lines and sing in front of her parents. We worked with singing and acting coaches, but it was Theresa Finamore that really changed my daughter. Once we started working with Theresa, we dropped all the other coaches. Theresa was positive and vivacious. She brought fun to the whole acting and singing experience. She turned my daughter from a shrinking wall flower to the star of her school musical. The experience with Theresa changed my daughters life. She now has confidence and poise whenever she is in front of an audience.
I am currently taking piano lessons from her. She loves kids & works well with kids to include me (I'm 14). I have been working with her for 2 years. She's great!
I was initially introduced to Krista by attending one of her concerts. I highly recommend that others try this intimate musical experience. When I heard she was offering lessons, the prospect of my daughter, an aspiring musical theater student, being trained by a rock star, I signed up right away. Her lessons were so fun and personal that I started training myself.
I am one of Ed's "older" students. I came to him at a very later part of my life with absolutely no musical background. None!! I told him that I someday wanted to become a member of a church choir. He accepted this challenge. He was very kind, and patiently worked with building my confidence in singing during my first year with him. I've been with him for a couple years now, and I am extremely satisfied to have Ed as my singing instructor. His excellent ear/skills for music is what he uses to capture your style and applies it to that particular person. He is very diverse with his music; being able to teach all genres, i.e. R&B, Pop, Country, Church Choir. What ever you like, he can teach you! The singing I use to dream about, Ed is teaching me to bring it alive. I'm using my head voice, my chest voice, and finally some vibrato is coming my way!! When God said, "start singing," He also gave me the perfect instructor. I would highly recommend Ed Barrena for people of "all" ages -beginners and advanced. Pattie G.
She is very friendly and patient. She instruct me with her professional skills. I would recommend her for singing lesson for anyone who wants to improve his or her singing skill.
Cindy is a really amazing voice teacher. She has a great deal of knowledge of music and singing, and, most importantly, knows how to effectively convey her knowledge to her students. I have noticed a big improvement in my voice with her guidance. She has really helped me to open up my voice, and get rid of many of my old bad vocal habits. With her lessons, I have noticed my vocal technique become more powerful. She has helped me to find a new level of freedom in my voice, and to connect emotionally with the pieces I sing. The last, but not the least, her passion for music and teaching makes learning from her a pleasure! Masha
Kind, encouraging. I worked with Liz at piano Press Studio for two years and I looked forward to each lesson as an adventure. She was very kind and encouraging and helped me to sight sing music better, which was my goal.
Eulis was very welcoming and accommodating. I'm a beginner when it comes to singing and Eulis made me feel very comfortable and was very constructive and creative when trying to explain the mechanics of singing which can sometimes seem a bit abstract. Looking forward to more lessons soon!
My daughter has been taking private piano lessons with Bliss for almost 2 years now and she is an amazing teacher! Being that she started at age 5, I wasn't sure whether she would commit to it or move on to another interest as children easily do. I truly believe because of Bliss, my daughter has really enjoyed taking piano and is eager to learn. She has the unique ability to make lessons fun but also incorporates the discipline needed to gain essential skills and advance. Bliss is down to earth, friendly, and very professional. I have other friends whose children also take lessons and they too are very pleased with the progress and the relationship she develops with their kids. I highly recommend anyone interested in taking piano lessons for themselves or their children to work with Bliss.
Very easy to work with and friendly. Helps improve singing by pointing out what you could be doing wrong and helps correct it by teaching breathing exercises and techniques. Gives good feedback and always punctual.
