My son took piano lessons with Danielle when she was in Irvine and we loved how she worked with him. She offered incentive programs (Mozart Money and sticker charts) and put together beautiful recitals. She has a great personality and is able to relate to young kids in a way that our previous piano teacher didn't. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a teacher for younger children.

I loved taking voice and piano lessons with Belinda! She is definitely very knowledgable on voice and was able to help me improve on my vocal weaknesses. She also taught me to play piano and sing at the same time, which is something I love doing now!

I hired Jennifer for vocal lessons for my teen daughter & we've been working with her for a few weeks now. We are very happy with her services and she was a great fit for my daugher.

I'm a professional composer and cellist and a teacher of cello, composition/music theory, beginning violin/viola, and beginning piano. I also teach ESL, and I have over 13 years of teaching experience! (Please scroll down for English lessons). Music: I have a B.M. summa cum laude in music composition from California State University, Los Angeles. I also have an M.F.A. in music composition from California Institute of the Arts (rated by Newsweek as the top art school in America!). As a composer, I am interested in opera, performance art, microtonal, avant-garde and world music (including Hindustani, Javanese, Chinese, West African, Celtic, and American Indian music). I love working on multimedia projects and collaborating with other artists. I am also Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Composer's Collective. As a cellist, my musical interests mirror my compositional interests while maintaining a strong foundation in traditional western classical music. I specialize in premiering new and experimental works by modern composers in addition to performing traditional music at concerts and other events, such as weddings, parties, and funerals. I have also been known to play my cello in the occasional rock, hip-hop or jazz band! While cello is my main instrument, I also play several other instruments to varying degrees of skill, including orchestral percussion, piano, voice, guitar, erhu, Indonesian rebab, and tabla. As a teacher, I strongly believe in the importance of music education in the overall academic success of children. I am dedicated to helping students of all ages realize their musical goals. I teach both privately and at the Saint Gabriel Foundation, providing free music lessons to at-risk youth in inner city schools and juvenile hall. My approach to music education incorporates traditional western classical techniques as well as many other approaches from around the world and from different styles of music that I have learned and found to be helpful. English: I have a B.A. in Translation and Interpretation Studies, and Spanish from California State University, Long Beach. After graduating I worked as a freelance translator and a teacher of English and Spanish. I worked in the Santa Ana Unified School District teaching Spanish and ESL in the public schools, and I worked at Berlitz Languages, and ELS teaching English in private and small group lessons. Through Berlitz, I also taught small group classes to employees of corporate clients, including Mitsubishi, Noritz, and Blizzard, among others. I am experienced in working with students from beginning to advanced levels. Additionally, I have helped many students with accent elimination, writing for business and academic purposes, and cultural training. I currently teach English privately.

As someone who has had previous piano instruction, Ivan was able to quickly assess my level and proceed with a lesson plan that was tailored to my needs. He was patient when I didn't get something and I can see myself learning a lot from him in future lessons. Overall a great teacher and a fun experience thus far.

I am a music teacher who specializes in guitar and piano lessons. I do outcalls in the Pasadena area and the neighboring cities. Ernest specializes in all styles of rock and blues as well as their subgenres. He also teaches classical, jazz, funk, pop, folk and R&B. One of Ernest's main focuses will be teaching the student the correct way to practice. Students will be trained on special accelerated learning techniques which will enable them to learn music efficiently without any frustration. This system of learning music will enable students of all levels to learn with a sense of confidence that they can learn any piece of music. The student will learn correct posture and playing technique to avoid any tension while allowing for maximum efficiency of movement. Students will also enjoy learning the art of improvisation ranging from first timer to advanced. This is one of the most enjoyable and important parts of playing that is often forgotten. Not only does it encourage creativity but it also develops the student's ear and is a very powerful skill in performance. Students will be given ear training and lessons in music theory as they advance. This knowledge will give the student a fuller understanding of music and empower them to learn independently.

Ken is an excellent teacher. He taught my son, JT, guitar lessons for about 3 years. Ken is very patient and motivational, which was very necessary as my son was quite young at the time, . He has an incredible way of connecting with his students.. Ken was able to make the lesson fun for my son and focused on the kind of music JT liked to play. I would recommend Ken to anyone wanting to learn how to play the guitar!

My daughter is 14 and wanted to start piano lessons. We chose Linda as an instructor. She used age appropriate material for an older student. My daughter has progressed by leaps and bounds. Linda is very upbeat and encouraging. My daughter is learning music theory and also composition. We are very impressed on how much our daughter has learned in just 5 months. People who hear her play are amazed that she has only had 5 months of lessons. We would definately recommend Linda's Music Studio to those interested in piano lessons.
