After interviewing several Editors, it was a no-brainer to pick Tanya. Her skills seemed far superior and they proved to be sky high above my expectations. Tanya is a wordsmith extraordinaire who breathed new life into my story! She is friendly, communicative and was always available for my questions while working on my story. Bezuki Services / Several Stories High is a great team. They were very professional and passionate with my story. I ended up with my story that now flows well for readers and has an eye-catching cover on the book. I feel blessed to have found this team!
Tina worked on my staff for several years as a senior editor for new product development at Hallmark Cards. She was the ultimate creative professional, a strong writer and editor with great communication and presentation skills. When given an assignment, Tina always went the extra mile in learning about her subject and researching additional possibilities. She was resourceful in gathering information and both thoughtful and strategic in applying it to her project. Her work was always done on-time. She was an in- demand editorial partner among the artists and designers in our department.
Sean Michael Robinson is a multitalented wonderful professional & amazing artist! We are filmmakers who needed a portrait sketch that plays a key element in our indie feature film. Sean made himself available to us immediately and worked around our schedules. We didn't have an actual photo, so he literally had to recreate something from scratch and he had the patience to work with us! He worked closely with the director of the film and wouldn't leave until it was exactly how he wanted it to look. Sean Michael is wonderful to work with and we would recommend him to all!!! I have worked with Dorothy for over 5 years and have found her to be a great editor. Dorothy is very thorough, catching everything from spelling and grammatical errors to inconsistencies in usage and formatting. She ensures that your document and written thoughts are clear and easy to understand, even if what you provide her with is far from it. Dorothy is cheerful and easy to work with. I cant recommend her work more strongly!
Steve Bramucci consistently offers the three keys that I was seeking in help with writing and editing: 1) quality work 2) excellent value 3) positive attitude. He is easy to work with and has successfully captured the essence of my story. Having hired Steve on projects large and small, I find that he utilizes every second to ensure that our time together is highly productive.
Driven to write my Vietnam memoir, I persisted in that lonely task and completed a first draft. I was pleased, but knew I needed an editor. I contacted Cecilia Fannon in California and she agreed to work with me. In the time agreed upon, she thoughtfully reviewed the manuscript and vastly helped me improve my efforts. Her editing made my book more compelling. She did not change the story I wanted to tell, but it was better. An established writer, she is extremely intelligent, fun to work with, and scrupulously honest. A rare combination. Nothing went wrong and I recommend her to a wide range of authors without reservation.
Wonderful editor, 10/10. Leaves insightful comments and ways in which to improve your writing. She is great for grammar and aiding with plot development and presentation, as well as character development and focusing on quality rather than quanitity, like some editors. Definitely good for new writers but she is also wonderful for those who have been writing for years; can give detailed feedback on whatever you feel and will help with developing weak points. She has been a great help to me with my stories (and my ridiculous use of commas has been cut down!) As well as aiding me in plotting for my next book. Would definitely recommend to all writers!
I couldn't have asked for a more insightful developmental editor, adept at both fiction and non-fiction. In my last non-fiction book, "Rasputin: The Memoirs of His Secretary," Bryna pointed out many areas that required elucidation for readers who might not be as familiar with the history as I was. She asked some very tough questions and made me hone the continuity and flow of the work. Bryna's feedback on a novel I'm writing has been invaluable as far as what makes sense and what doesn't, what works and what doesn't, what's unclear, the balance between narrative and dialog, pacing, segues, point of view, etc. Her assessments are very incisive and the result is a very clean, cohesive work. She was not only timely in responding, but encouraging as well. Her own book, "The Accidental Anarchist," is evidence of her natural talent, where she manages to make non-fiction read like fiction. Frankly, I cannot imagine using another editor. It's not just that her editorial comments are spot on, but she asks hard-hitting questions about the work that make you think about what you're doing, how you're doing it, where you're going and who you're appealing to.

My expertise was earned through practice and passion. I love crafting fresh content and polishing my clients' work. To me, the crazy little details of grammar and the nuances of vocabulary are half the fun.
