Garrick Davis is is easily the most artistic, fun, and creative guy I know. I have been taking lessons from him for four years now and if there is any thing I can say about him is that he is a great person and a wonderful roll model. Don't doubt him for a second he has amazing skills with the guitar and he will never leave you in the dust. He is grate at teaching you not only the song but each and every thing there is to know about each and every cord. He doesn't just teach you how to play songs, he teaches you how to play guitar.

Garrick is very patient and engaging with our 7yo son. Our son loves his guitar lessons and wants to play. He's the real deal with his own gigs and he teaches using music we love. Garrick gets 5 stars because he unexpectedly requested to join us when we purchased our guitar, picked an appropriate used(!) one with metal strings and had it modified to bring the frets in closer for small fingers. His lessons feel customized. We recommend Garrick!

I feel grateful for finding Garrick on Thumbtack! He has taught my 8 year old son, who is a beginner at guitar. Garrick's infectious love for life and music has really inspired my son. He has offered a great mix of fun and technique during lessons and my son was quickly able to play songs and enjoy playing his instrument. I would highly recommend Garrick as a teacher.

Sedat is an excellent teacher. I've tried to learn guitar by myself multiple times in the last few years and have consistently given up after few weeks. With Sedat, learning is fun and I'm amazed at the progress that I'm able to make in just a few weeks. I'm also impressed by the way he assesses your progress and advances the lessons accordingly. He is very patient and attentive and adapts the lessons to the needs of the student. I would recommend Sedat to students of any skill level and age.

Joann is a wonderful knowledgeable piano instructor. I stared my son in weekly piano lessons with Joann at age 6, last year. I was very impressed with her ability to teach the basics in a way he understood and connected to. He likes and respects her and is eager to learn. Joann is very relaxed, patient, and positive with him. I am very pleased! I would definitely recommend her to other potential students, young or old.

Joann taught me piano lessons for over three years, and she worked on and off with my children for over a year. I started as a beginner, and she was instrumental in teaching me everything I know about piano. She was always on time, focused, and knowlegable. Joann works really well with children as well. She is positive and encouraging. She has fun and creative ways to engage the kids.

We have been working with Ms. White since January 2016. My boys, ages 6 and 7 walked out of their very first lesson knowing “Mary Had A Little Lamb” and this quick, concrete “take away” gave them a sense of excitement and confidence! Ms. White is very thoughtful with her instruction. She has realistic and responsive goals--like helping accommodate a variety of sports seasons and understanding the difference between her student’s temperament and attention span. She has nurtured an intrinsic and age appropriate interest and exposure to the world of piano playing. My boys pick up and play piano on their own and they love teaching their father and me their new skills. I would highly recommend Ms. White for piano lessons.

Alison is a very nice teacher and I enjoyed my trial lesson with her. Unfortunately being a student I am unable to afford lessons or pay for a good guitar so I'm placing this passion of mine on a hold.

Will was professional all aspects of arranging the lessons and walking me through the initial processes of obtaining an instrument. He was on time and a pleasure for both my 9 year old son and I to work with. He is giving us both lessons. We enjoyed our lessons. Will was patient and gentle. He seems to have a wealth of musical knowledge that he's waiting to share with interested students. By the end of lesson one, we are learning to use our fingers for warm-ups, playing a scale with proper finger placement, playing three chords, and playing a song. He is wise in working with children, knowing they are eager to play a song and thus helps to achieve this. We had fun, are practicing and looking forward to next week!

My son had his first guitar lesson with Will today. Will was very professional during the communications setting up the lessons. He was on time arriving at our home. My son enjoyed his first lesson - off to a good start!

So far my son is getting a lot out of these lessons. It seems Will understands how a teen thinks and how to approach learning to play. He is enjoying what he is learning.

I've been taking lessons from Ken for over a year and he's helped me enormously improve my improvisational technique, learn a variety of different styles, and gain confidence soloing. He's also a fantastic repository of musical knowledge, providing new and unusual charts from classical to Brazilian choro to gypsy jazz, or coming up with hip arrangements of familiar tunes. He also provides helpful practice aids such as audio backing tracks and written-out solo ideas. As an intermediate jazz musician that plays in a group, I have been focused on building a repertoire and becoming a better accompanist, soloist, and improviser. I recommend Ken as a great teacher for anyone trying to do the same.

You can tell that he is passionate about his playing and the music which encourages the student to learn as much as they can. Just started lessons and I already have picked up a bunch of new techniques.

Mark taught guitar to both my son and my husband in our home. Mark was professional and so encouraging in his teaching method. The thing that stood out most to me was Mark's devotion to teaching. He truly wanted to pass along his tremendous talent to his students, and was so proud of their accomplishments. Mark would be an excellent teacher for any student, beginner or more advanced. He rocks!

Mark has taught my son for 2 1/2 years. He is a gifted teacher and encourager, and has helped my son to love the guitar. He also comes to your house so it is so convenient. My son also now enjoys using his guitar to lead the youth group. We recommend Mark highly!

My son has had a great experience with the California Conservatory of Music. He has developed a love for all kinds of music and discipline to move through challenging pieces. This discipline and work ethic has transferred to other areas of his life as well. The teachers have been fantastic in developing a well rounded musician and making the process enjoyable.

Brian teaches piano, music theory, and composition to our son. Our son starting working with Brian about ten years ago at age seven and worked with him for several years until Brian went away to go to graduate school. He began working with Brian again this year. Brian has been instrumental in helping our son become a fine musician and is helping him to find his voice as a composer. Brian has a wealth of knowledge music history and music theory. He suggests pieces to listen to and has interesting stories about the composers. It has been inspiring to our son to see Brian in performance playing his own compositions. Most importantly, Brian has shared his love of music with Jimmy and it's contagious.

Dr. Ciach was my professor over the course of a year for Music Theory 1 and 2. He has great teaching strategies. Dr. Ciach cares about each of his students and he takes the time to help students that have trouble understanding the lesson. Being in class with him, I could feel his passion and enthusiasm for music. Theory has always been enjoyable for me, but being able to watch him play the piano excerpts we were using in class made theory all the more enjoyable. I even got to hear him play his Third Sonata in Theory class! It was a privilege to have Dr. Ciach as a professor!

As a student composer, I took private lessons with Dr. Ciach in both music composition and electronic music synthesis. I have to say that they were some of the most rewarding and educational lessons I have ever taken. Dr. Ciach is perfect at offering the perfect direction to your compositions without taking away from your own personal artistic voice and character. His breadth of knowledge and deep compositional understand make for one of the best mentors I have ever experienced. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in studying music composition.
