Emily is fantastic! She began working with our 6 month old weim only 4 weeks ago, and he is already a different dog. He has learned to be better on the leash, developing better response to commands such as sit and stay. Emily truly listens to the needs of the family and is very responsive to the individual dog needs. She is dependable, responsible and when you meet her, you can just feel her passion and dedication to puppy training. She sent us regular daily updates about our puppy's progress, including video clips. When we first started, our puppy was shy of other dogs, but after only 2 weeks, he was braver and more assertive in the dog park with other pets. Emily is a pleasure to work with and we have just signed up for another 4 weeks of training to continue building on the progress our doggies has made. She is down to earth and caring. She is also not afraid to say when something isn't working, which we truly appreciated. Our dog didn't like the halti leash, so after a couple of weeks of training, Emily came up with a different leash option and was very honest about the reasons for the change. It's refreshing to work with such a professional. Thank you, Emily, for all your dedication and hard work!

Courtney is fantastic. I appreciated how she inquired after both me and my dog during our training sessions. It helped further cement the relationship between dog, owner, and trainer.

We have been sending our dog to Susan at Nu Pawspective for about a year now. Susan is an intelligent trainer with a "dog whisperer" instinct for dogs. Our dog loves going with Susan every day and always comes home exhausted and happy. We are thankful to have someone whom we trust to care for our dog as much as Susan does.

Les with Executive Canine Services is FABULOUS! We rescued a great 3 yr old golden retriever/border collie mix who needed some "fine tuning." A friend recommended Les to us, and we could not be happier with him. He is first of all, one of the most delightful people you will ever meet, and to top that, his knowledge of dog training is excellent. He is well read, has endless tips and techniques that are easy to learn and implement, and he really has a special knack with dogs. Our dog made great strides from week to week, and we really owe it to Les and his ability to read our dog, and make thoughtful recommendations for what we needed to work on. I felt he really tailored the training to our dog's needs. He was always on time or early, and came prepared with the next lesson to work on. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and will absolutely call on him for any more dog training needs. Thanks, Les!

Tammy began training and working with our chocolate lab when he was 11 months old. While our dog went to stay with Tammy for 2 weeks, we often wondered what was occurring, as we knew that Rudi was strong willed as a puppy and often destructive. During the 2 week training time, we would get messages and even a video or 2 sent to us, showing the progress that she was making with Rudi. After 2 weeks, Rudi returned with behaviors on lease that made realize that with consistency our dog could demonstrate and practice good training behaviors. Tammy has a strong communication system established with our dog so he understands what is expected of him when we walk or work in the house. He really looks forward to seeing Tammy. Even more, Tammy continues to work with us and our dog on a weekly basis, working to train us as well as the dog. We are so pleased with our dog, his training ( which is praise based, not treat based) and our weekly sessions with Tammy. She really wants everyone to be successful.

Pete's training was "Training the Trainer". It was amazing! He's punctual, and very professional. The guidelines and notes that Pete provided was very helpful. He also demonstrated how to train. I agree with Pete that it is always better that the owner of the dog train so that the bonding is better. With just two hours of training, my dog has already picked up few commands. Thank you Pete! I met Emily by chance walking our dog Stella. Stella is an American Staffordshire Terrier whom we rescued through the Peninsula Humane Society when she was 5 months old. They had found her running in and out of traffic. Stella is a sweet and loving dog, and full of lots of energy. Emily noted Stella and I walking, or I should say her pulling me as I tried to not let her pull me. Despite having her 2 years, we still didn’t have the training thing down. My partner and I had been looking for a trainer but for whatever reason, just never found the right person or took the time to jump into it. Walking with her through our neighborhood in SOMA could be a challenge, and I have to admit, kind of sucked. We were using a harness that clipped on the back. Emiliy advised that what I was doing was “literally how you train sled dogs” and advised a front lead harness. She gave me a card and made some recommendations of harnesses that I could find on line. The next day, I went and got a front lead harness and put it on Stella. OMG. Like a different dog. She wasn’t pulling and would actually walk beside me. I took a video and emailed my partner, and said “You won’t believe it!”. I called Emily and we hired her that day. The changes that we have seen in Stella have been unbelievable. We live in SOMA and went from a pulling dog who would bark at skateboarders, jump up on little kids, and eat everything on the ground (including homeless pooh – gross!) to a dog who is interactive with us, plays agility games (jumping up or standing on hydrants for a treat), backing up from children and sitting calmly for attention, totally ignoring skateboarders, and leaving homeless pooh and other things where they belong, on the ground. I am amazed that this is the same dog. What I love the most about Emily and her training is that her techniques are about management and engaging your dog. Stella is Stella. My partner and I don’t believe in shock collars, aggressive management or training your dog into submission. The first part of her life was hard enough, we want a relationship with our dog of trust and love. Emily understands and advocates this theory. Stella is who she is. She is still the happy, rambunctious, energetic dog who loves life, people, and other dogs. What Emily showed us is how to channel that energy into productive and fun ways of expression. The training has really built a closer bond with Stella and she is very focused on us as we walk. The walks have actually become really fun. The true test came last week up in Santa Rosa where we have a home in the country. Stella goes crazy over the wildlife (turkey, deer, rabbits, etc). She will often try to get out and chase them. A front door was inadvertently left open and Stella escaped from our home and ran down the driveway, near the cow pasture. This is a dangerous spot and she has run under the fence and chased the cows in the past. My partner said, “back up” from about 200 yards away. She stopped, turned, came running back up the driveway and sat at us feet. Unbelieveable. I highly recommend Emily! The money and time was worth the improved quality of life that we have with our family member, Stella.

Stella not only watched my puppy but trained him this past week! She has saved my life with the potty training and it only took her a few days!!! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to puppies. Everything went smoothly! I was so happy to get updates and pictures of him everyday. I'll be using her again for sure.

Gail has been walking our dog Val for about 6-7 months now and she is fantastic! I can't say enough about Gail's attentiveness, reliability, and great communication. We have had previous dog walkers an Gail is by far the best. She frequently sends pictures or videos of the day's walk, which is really thoughtful. She is also very flexible and works with us and our schedule. We originally had Gail come a few days a week, but we are so happy she now comes Monday through Friday. It's clear she really cares about the dogs she works with and wants to make sure they're happy. If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and thoughtful dog walker, contact Gail!

He is great with both my dogs who can be a handful at times. Patrick also went out of his way to help my dog Panduh during emergency eye surgery. I highly recommend him for training and any boarding needs!
