After 2 years of group lessons with little progress, we are happy we switched to private lessons with Ryan. Ryan is professional yet makes learning fun and engaging for my 7 year old son. He is also very reasonably priced. A friend recommended him to us and now seeing his teaching abilities i would recommend him as well.

I have used Rosemary for voice over talent and singing vocals. She is one of the most professional and creative talents I have had the privilege of working with, and will raise the value of any project you are working on.

I have been taking voice lessons from Virginia for just under two years now, and am extremely happy with my experience. I had taken vocal training before, but never felt like I really got it. What does it mean to push your diaphragm down? How do you go from chest to head voice? My goal was to develop my soprano voice and increase my upper range. What I found was that this occurred by developing my chest voice and getting my vocal chords together. As a result, I have a crazy terrific expanded lower range and can sing higher than I ever thought I could. Virginia guided me through many different types of exercises to use my diaphragm and develop good breathing habits, get my vocal chords together, shape vowels, and move my larynx down. We worked on different styles of music, each offering their unique challenges. Virginia's Solana Beach studio is equipped with microphones and a stage, so you can really practice performance techniques. Virginia records each lesson and gives it to you at the end of each session, so you can review material as often as desired. I have received a lot of compliments on my new voice, and I would recommend Virginia to everyone!

Bernie has been a great drum teacher for my two daughters. He is dedicated, committed, fun and with a great teaching attitude. Always arrives on time and ready to start. A big plus for Bernie, is that my 2 daughters have autism, and he is able to engage with them pretty effectively, and redirect them when needed, as their attention and focus shifts. I fully recommend him for Drum lessons and for kids in the Autism spectrum!

I am a professional singer and as such, I am looking for a voice instructor that can fine tune and improve my ability and performance. This takes a uniquely qualified and experienced teacher. In my 40 + years as a performer, Jennifer is the best I have met !

My daughter loves taking lessons with Jessica. I don't really know anything about singing, so she has been very helpful in letting me know how I can support my daughter in her interest in singing. Jessica is a super positive, up beat person and is definitely a roll model I love having my daughter around. I would definitely recommend her.

I highly recommend US Music Lessons! My 14-year-old son has been with US Music Lessons for nearly a year as part of the Rock Band class. He is a drummer and has loved playing with other students in his band as they learn together the skills they need to be part of an actual rock band. They have played multiple times at local venues, including the Hard Rock Cafe, which has been an incredible experience for the kids. Although my son already was a drummer coming into US Music Lessons (Thanks to his grandfather), he has learned a great deal from the wonderful teachers that instruct the Rock Band. My son plays with kids every week who have been students of US Music Lessons learning various instruments, including voice lessons, and their experience has been positive. The kids coming out of US Music Lessons are all gifted and talented young musicians thanks to the wonderful teachers dedicated to their musical growth. The Rock Band class is an innovative, fun and inspiring way to teach music in that it develops a love and passion for performing and therefore a desire to improve on a daily basis. Playing with others that are like-minded and receiving the feedback in an actual performance class from the instructor has been an invaluable experience for my son.

My experiences with Cynthia are been more than I could have asked for. I have worked with her for the last 6 years and it not only changed my singing, but it also improved my musicianship, work ethic and quality of life. Cynthia uses her professional experience as an established performer and musician to enrich her students and help them transform their instrument. In my experience, Cynthia's approach to teaching is simple and effective. She makes it her goal to pinpoint her students strengths and weaknesses bringing out the best qualities of a singing voice. She knows how to truly connect and know her students. She is more than an instructor, she is a scholar and before you know it, a very good friend. I highly recommend working with Cynthia.

Very easy to work with and friendly. Helps improve singing by pointing out what you could be doing wrong and helps correct it by teaching breathing exercises and techniques. Gives good feedback and always punctual.
