I hired Haute Productions for a private cooking class for a bachelor party event, and we had the best time. Keith was an awesome teacher and host, he made the experience wonderful. I have had the experience of tasting and enjoying Mr. segar's culinary services in many occasions and find him to be an excellent cook. His cooking abilities are very gourmet and he is very good at improvising and coming up with exquisit results.
My roommate and I are on a kick to just get healthier and we know a part of that is changing our eating habits because we eat out a lot. Not by choice but out of necessity because neither of us can really cook. In comes Chef Renee and Chef Jimmy we weren't sure what to expect because neither of us grew up in cooking families, hence the lack of know-how on our parts. We hired them hoping to just learn the basics but we got sooooo much more than that. We felt so empowered after just one lesson with Chef Renee that we decided to keep going and now we work with her or Chef Jimmy once a week. We feel so much healthier and happier knowing what is exactly going into our food as well as a great sense of accomplishment. My boyfriend also thanks you since I can finally cook him a meal. We still have a lot more we want to learn but they are so helpful and patient that we can't wait to continue the journey.
Shelley makes the most amazing, inspiring, and eclectic dishes. Always flavorful...you would never believe it was Vegan! I use her for all of my private catering needs. She's is always accommodating and provides impeccable ontime service. She always chooses organic, heart healthy produce for her creations. I have used her so many times, I honestly don't think there is something she cannot create!

She knows how to make other kinds of food besides Indian (they are good too, but there is still a slight Indian flavor--touch of fusion cuisine, but our guests consistently like her cooking). "I have been trying to get Ed Masciana to teach for ages so that I can take his classes. He is a marvelous cook (chef), teacher, who in addition to knowing Italian food and cooking techniques, has an extensive knowledge of other cuisines---American, French--and the chemistry of food/cooking. I was lucky enough to have Ed teach me the essentials of stock making---fish, chicken, beef and then, how to use the results to make marvelous (the best I ever had and not the usual tomato heavy) cioppino. This lesson taught me how incorporating home made stock elevated whatever soups, braises, etc I would attempt. He also showed me sautéing techniques, imparting a thoughtful approach to sautéing vegetables (and meat/fish as well) based on their density and structure. (I'm still learning, but this was an invaluable lesson.) Ed is a great teacher. He is easy to learn from. He's considerate, imparts skills naturally, with a good sense of humor, so one learns without feeling intimidated. As far as the "being on time" question, that does not even come into play. He's a real teacher with professional standards. He's there to teach when this is called for.

Vegan cooking has never been as fabulous as when Porsche is the one serving up cruelty free dishes. She makes healthy - usually soy free - meals for my boss Russell Simmons and myself on the regular. Our guests always leave our events raving about the taste and marveling at how satisfying it is without flesh and dairy. She is the best of the best!
Had my first at-home lesson today. Michelle is a kind, polite, well-humored chef who teaches well. The meal we prepared together was simply delicious. Didn't know I had it in me but Michelle did! Salivating in anticipation of my next cooking lesson with her next week.
Being a single full-time working mom with a teenage son, I found it challenging to prepare healthy meals that my son would eat. I also realized that our dietary needs were very different. Top that off with too many leftovers that my son nor I would eat, I thought I would try a private chef to see if I could satisfy our needs as well as reduce the wasted food (on a budget)! I am thrilled to report that Jordan is an incredible chef! His food is healthy and delicious and the meals he has been preparing for my son and I have exceeded my expectations. Teresa took time to understand my needs and what I wanted to get out of my experience with her. She also spent a lot of time personalizing our day together and being thoughtful about how to schedule and plan it all out so that I got the most out of it. I learned a ton of tips since we went through the entire process, from picking out my ingredients through preparation. Teresa was willing to answer any question (no matter how silly) I had along the process and adjust to any changes I requested.
