Cindy is a thoughtful and talented therapist. We worked closely together in a psychiatric clinic treating clients with complex psychological and substance abuse problems and I was always impressed by her skill and professionalism. Cindy is the first person I think of to refer my medication management clients struggling to find fulfillment in their lives and relationships. In my career I haven't seen many therapists that can truly treat a whole family, but Cindy's training and experience make her well suited for just that.
Cindy Weathers is an excellent therapist. She is the perfect blend of psychoanalytic and cognitive/behavioral and really cares about her clients! She possesses warmth and empathy and comes from a business background so brings a practicality to her work. Whenever I meet a client on the other side of town, Cindy is the first person I think of to refer to!

I wish there were more than 5 stars, because Marta Hatter would be worthy of every one of them and more! I have gotten to meet with Marta for the last 3 years and she has helped walk me through some of the most trying seasons of my life. She does this with grace and love, while still speaking truth, and yet somehow makes it feel fun to be in the process with her. I have referred her to a few of my friends as well and they have all fallen in love with her and have seen such growth working with her as well. I truly wish everyone could see Marta, because she is amazing!
For me the most exciting thing about my experience with Revelation Counseling is that I am in a completely different place than when I started! Coming to revelation counseling has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for my mental, emotional and overall health. I know that the skills I've learned will last beyond the counseling and will help me get closer to my future and my best self.
My experience with Marta has been amazing! She has helped me work through so many huge life changes and given me tools to use on a daily basis. Every time I leave her office I feel balanced, informed and inspired.
She was fantastic during the initial phone consultation. A great listener, very calming and reassuring and gave me a detailed run-down of what to look forward in coming sessions. I look forward to her help :)
After over 10 years of marriage, my wife and I had a lot to be thankful for, but had also developed plenty of problems along the way. We were eventually in crisis mode (problems with intimacy, money, partnership) when we decided to start seek marital counseling. Faye was referred to us by my individual counselor from another practice. I am so grateful for making that call to Faye. I don't like talking about my own problems, at all. But my wife and I both found a safe place with Faye. She helped us talk in ways we never did before. She helped us understand each other's personalities and wants and needs. She's fair and never took sides. I highly recommend calling her no matter what your situation is. She's great at what she does.

What separates me from many traditional therapists is my informal approach to psychotherapy, which I believe creates a more genuine relationship. My psychotherapy style is not for everybody, so the first three sessions are used for "consultation", which allows me and my clients to determine whether we are a good fit for treatment together.
In our contemporary society, it is easy to be content and even glad for medications that soothe symptoms, but healing comes from working through our underlying inner conflicts in a textured human relationship in which we can feel what we truly feel and become who we truly are. I believe distressful symptoms, whether depression, anxiety, anger, hurt, a sense of meaninglessness, a sense of emptiness, or addictions are signs. They are signs that it is time to become more than both whom we've grown accustomed to being and how we've grown accustomed to being with other people. Whether in person or by telephone or video conference, psychoanalytic and psychodynamic therapy are unique forms of psychotherapy. By working together, we will aim to understand the meaning of your emotional reactions, thoughts, memories, etc., so as to alleviate your distress and expand your capacity for work, love, and creativity. Therapy that aims at lasting change and growth involves a considerable investment of time and money. So, I offer a free initial consultation to encourage people to make this decision based on their personal experience.

People respond very positively to me as a Psychologist. I think several factors contribute to this. I was very blessed to have outstanding training and mentoring throughout my professional development, including receiving a Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia before even entering one of the longest and oldest Counseling Psychology Training Programs at the University of Texas at Austin. So, on one level, I think people appreciate that I am well prepared and "know my stuff." On another level, I had amazing mentoring in forming and maintaining a therapeutic relationship from experts in both Humanistic and Relational Psychodynamic approaches to therapy. So, I also relate well to people, helping them feel safe, understood, and cared for. Together, I think these qualities make me stand out as a Psychologist.
