Paul has been great to work with, he's flexible, and knowledgeable on what works best for our son. Plus our lessons are in the comfort of our home! He always communicates with us on how our son is doing and if he needs to practice more, so he can show improvement on learning notes. Paul also purchased a bass guitar so he can work with our son on learning the bass as well. I also asked if he can help us shop and pick out a reasonable amp and he agreed to help out and suggested a few places to shop at. Working with Paul has made this experience easy as I was worried of finding a good fit for our son. I would recommend Paul to anyone and you can't beat his rate!
Incredible experience working with Griffith Frank...only had a few lessons due to relocation, but learned more about my own voice in those lessons than any other experience I've had...he takes the time to not only help you find your voice, but he shows you how to explore and understand it in and out. If I ever get to make my way back to California, he's definitely the first one I'm lookin up to further my development as an all around vocalist.
Very professional, thorough and patient which worked for as a beginner in this kind of fitness. My only con is that I can't do as many lessons as I'd like. Overall a great trainer.
Very to the point and knowledgeable about the instrument. He obviously has studied the guitar for a long time and knowing that makes the lessons comfortable and effective.
I've had three training sessions with Jonathan Howard. I tested other trainers while with him and found that he was the best. He's very organized in his lesson planning, he has a sharp eye for minor errors in form and execution, and he's challenging while simultaneously supportive. I look forward to continuing my training with him.
We found Ms. Allison via Thumbtack and consider ourselves lucky. She is a patient and caring instructor. My 11 year old daughter loves her lessons. We started with her while we lived in Pasadena and have since moved but continue to drive over 40 miles to her home studio for lessons on Saturday for the past year. She is a talented musician and more importantly she is able to share her knowledge with our daughter.
Omar is an excellent teacher, very patient and understanding. Lessons move quickly and I am learning both theory and application (piano). He also helped me decide on which piano to buy and what would be the most affordable options. I would greatly recommend taking lessons with him!
Base is reliable, punctual, and jumps right in when he arrives! He is focused on the student and pushes them (even if shy) with kindness and humor to grow and learn. My daughter is 12 and really enjoying her vocal lessons with him. We think he's great!!
Learning from Richard is awesome. What I love is how he focuses his lesson on you specifically rather than his other students. He's very open to working with different styles of music and has a classical/opera background, which he uses to demonstrate, so you know he's well versed in the craft. He really takes the time to explain to you what he's trying to get you to do and why, so that you understand it. It never feels like you're just practicing blindly. Since starting with him -- I've only had two lessons as of this review -- I've found that my higher notes, when I'm singing recreationally don't feel as strained they did before and singing lower notes has felt significantly easier. I'm excited to see how working with him will develop me as a vocalist. And the best part is, because he keeps his prices low, I'm never concerned that I can't afford to keep working at it.
We had the pleasure of having Steve as my son’s guitar teacher for over five years and I cannot say enough good things about him. Not only is Steve an incredibly talented musician, he truly is an excellent teacher. He is kind and patient, offering encouragement and positive feedback along the way. Steve is also great at customizing the lesson to suit the student. My son especially liked that Steve asked him for suggestions of songs he would like to learn. As a result, his lessons were perfectly balanced with the fundamentals, along with music/songs my son was interested in. In addition, Steve does not miss an opportunity to offer up a challenge and take the student to the next level by introducing a new artist or song, all the while keeping it interesting and relevant. We were amazed at the progress my son made under Steve’s instruction. You will not be disappointed with Steve as your guitar teacher!
Brian is an awesome guitar player and teacher! He's kind, patient and very knowledgeable. I feel like I've learned so much in just a few lessons and I'm looking forward to becoming a better player under his tutelage. I like his teaching style (patient and encouraging) and getting to choose the songs I learn makes practicing so much more enjoyable. Lastly, he comes to my house for my lesson, he's always on time and his rates are reasonable!
Mia is an exceptional vocal instructor. I am a beginner singer. It is unbelievable to see how my vocal skills have improved with just a few private singing lessons. She is patient and makes the student feel comfortable. I couldn't be in better hands! From Beginners to Pros I highly recommend Singing Studio LA.
Wonderful teachers and wonderful owner, my daughter has been taking piano lessons here for 2 years and has learned so much.
After wanting to learn to play the guitar for years, I can’t say enough how grateful I was when I found Davey! He’s incredibly talented, both as a musician and a teacher, and has a unique way of making lessons rewarding from the start. I appreciate the way he values teaching the fundamentals, while also incorporating my musical tastes and keeping the lessons fun. I was blown away by how quickly I learned! He’s truly a gifted teacher and his warm personality and genuine encouragement make you want to play all day. Davey doesn’t just show you how to play an instrument - he teaches you how to be a musician.
