Our son has been going to Gaving and Grayson at UpRock for over a year now and loves it plus is making great progress. This is all due to the great instruction and how the staff relate to younger students and they make it both fun and interesting personalizing the songs to the kids tastes and generally demonstrating a passion for their role as instructors. I am very impressed and would have no hesitation in recommending UpRock for your guitar lessons.
Rick is a great guitar teacher at any level. He can teach everything from theory to practical playing and make it fun. I highly recommend him if you want to learn the correct way of playing.
It has always been a musical learning experience beyond the notes on the page for me working with Bob. His knowledge of the history of both the instrument and the music, enriches the learning experience. Bob gives more than just quality music lessons. He shares his in depth knowledge and experience earned over a lifetime of playing and teaching in every lesson.
I have been a student at Roseville Guitar Lessons for over a year. I initially joined Andrew at RGL because I was stuck in a rut and needed to be challenged. Andrew is a very dynamic instructor; extremely professional and will certainly get you engaged and excited about playing. Andrew works well with all ages and levels of experience. No matter your skill level, he can make you a better guitarist. I highly recommend Andrew if you are serious about getting better. Dan
Craig is an excellent guitar instructor. He tailors my lessons to my music al interest, and is the only teacher who helps me focus on mental preparation (for performance confidence). He has helped me develop physical techniques such right hand exercises, looping practices for increasing tempo and learning the fretboard. Playing the notes of music is just one part of playing an instrument... playing with dynamics makes the music more alive and enjoyable. Craig has taught me this as well. When I met Craig 15 months ago he told me he could help me to become a musician vs. a guitarist. I'm on my way because of Craig's interest in me as an individual and his genuine encouragement. I want to practice everyday because I'm excited to see my improvement through specific drills and methods. Craig has taught me how to practice which is incredibly important.
Very glad to discover this teacher in our area. Very patient - highly recommend
Rich Ayala has been the best guitar teacher my son has ever had. Rich has taught him more in two years than he learned in three years with other instructors. Rich has a way of letting the student learn the rudiments of the guitar while teaching music the student wants to play. We also like him on a personal basis.
"I want to play guitar." Chad helps you see just what that means to you. What level do you aspire to? Do you want to emphasize chords or finger picking or vice versa? What do you hope to do with the guitar? He is the guitar player we are all familiar with: laid back, easy going, so relaxing, soothing - making it look so easy. But he also lets you in on some of his challenges as a teacher and performer - which takes away some of the student's anxiety about being able to learn the guitar. And with his personal attention he conveys that conviction that you. too, can and will play the guitar. But you do have to bring in a level of dedication and commitment to deep, serious, daily practice. I'm semi-retired and so I've able to practice 3 hours a day. I'm just now hearing an improvement in my playing and the fingers are moving with more certainty and confidence. I'm on my way to achieving a level of playing that's of my own making & determination - that is very exciting.
JJ is a very accomplished guitar player and a very good instructor. Not only can he play guitar, but he's also great at mandolin, banjo and the pedal steel guitar. I would gladly recommend him to any friends or family wanting to learn how to play any of these instruments.
AARON IS AWESOME!!! He taught me the songs I wanted to learn and broke them down in a way that made them easy to pick-up.
