Dave's been my trainer for over five years now. I attend his Morning Crunch Boot Camp in Culver City. The sessions are a nice mix of traditional boot camp-like tasking and working at your own pace (aka listening to your body). His workouts mostly focus on strengthening your core which I like. Best of all he's got a good sense of humor and keeps it light so the workout flies and I feel good after every session. Thanks Dave!

I've definitely had my share of trying out different trainers/gyms/workout DVDs/group classes/boot camps, you name it and I've done it. Throw out those workout DVDs and cancel all your memberships. Trust me when I say Manuk is the one and only trainer you will need. I have been training with him for about a year now a couple times a week. Manuk really took the time on our first meeting to get to know me and my life style so he can plan a workout accordingly. He asked me my daily routine, food and drink Intake, job, what my goals were, etc.. Didn't miss a point to give me the best results. Manuk has given me results within this past year that I didn't even imagine were possible. He made sure he altered what I ate throughout the day (in a healthy and easy transition) to see quicker results. He is honest with you, well educated in the field, motivating, and his humor definitely is a huge plus!! Makes working out fun and not such a serious, in your face yelling kind of a workout.

Manuk gave me an absolutely 5 STAR work out EVERY SINGLE SESSION. Honestly if you are serious about your body goals and are going to commit to work out and have a healthier eating, I totally recommend going to Manuk for training, you would be working hard and he won't give up on you. He really knows what he is doing and was able to answer every doubt I had about the proper way to do any exercise, doubts about the diet I was having before and why I was not seeing results in other gyms or training by myself. I am a current EBC Camper that falls into the obese category. I am just keeping it real. Many believe that they are not capable of doing a boot camp style workout. I am here to tell you that with EBC it’s possible and results will come with consistency and persistence. My EBC journey began at the end of July 2014. At the start of camp, I weighed in at 283lbs. I was insulin resistant and pre-diabetic. I had high blood pressure and I was physically miserable from being so out of shape. I am pleased to tell you that through amazing coaching and guidance from Monique and Sean Patton, and other supportive campers, I have transformed my body, my lifestyle and my overall wellbeing. I have lost 60lbs. of fat; my diet is clean and all my pressures/numbers fall within the normal range. My EBC journey continues! My husband and I have been working out with Derek for over a year now. We've had trainers before and Derek is by far the best! He knows every muscle in your body and he comes to every session with a plan on how to get the most out of them. He encourages you to work out without being too tough, and the results speak for themselves. We both feel stronger, healthier even a bit younger after working out with him. Ernie Salizar was my personal trainer for over a year as well as leading a boot camp that my wife and I attended for 3 months. My goal at that time was to shed about 50 lbs. Ernie switched up my diet, skillfully worked around a few old injuries I had, and encouraged me in his program of weights and cardio. In 90 days I went from 232lbs. to 178lbs. My fitness level was off the scale! I realize that is a lot of weight loss in a short time but Ernie's encouragement kept my motivation level high. It wasn't easy and there were days I wish I never met Ernie Salizar, but you can't argue with results! My wife also lost over 45lbs. Goat Fitness has been one of the best things I have ever done. Like most women I know I struggle with my weight. I am small person ( 5 feet tall) so I feel like my weight goes up and down a lot. I have done diets and boot camps and everything worked for like 2 weeks but, I never really achieved the results I was looking for. I would loose like 5 lbs and stop losing weight. Not to mention I couldn't eat anything I wanted and the work outs were ridiculous. Lucky for me one of the girls I work with goes to Goat and she looks amazing and all she did was talk about how great this gym is. There are those people who LOVE working out .... I am not one of them and I don't understand the people (like my friend) who are super into it. But.... she looks great and she told me her trainer said she can have a bagel and cream cheese. That got my attention!!! Every work-out/ trainer I have ever seen has told me that I basically have to cut out everything I love to eat which for me is wine and cheese which sucks so I do it for 2 weeks then I stop losing weight and say screw it back to eating what I want. There is another way!!!! So I decided to go see this amazing trainer that allows you to eat foods you actually like. Lets just start with everyone at the gym is incredibly nice. I talked with Jon and he talked about getting the results I wanted and how to reasonably achieve them. He was honest and up front this isn't the place where you drop 20 lbs in a month first that isn't healthy and it typically doesn't taste or feel good. He explained that what I was looking for would yes take time but, we could certainly get there in a few months. I don't have ridiculous goals I just want skinny girl arms and to fit into a pair of pants like the average woman. I appreciated Jon's realistic approach to weight lost. We did all my measurements and he built me work outs that would help me get to where I wanted. Another great thing you can pick different packages so I picked the 30 minute training ones. I have never been so happy to work out. The work outs are definitely changeling but, they don't kill you ( you will be sore though) but, its over super fast! Back to the food because when I think weight loss I typically go to great well I can't eat this or this or.... and it goes on. I can have my wine and my cheese!! We set up my macros to show me I need this many: Carbs, Fats, and Proteins. I can eat those anyway I want!!! If I want to have wine that is fine I just need to make sure it fits into my macros. The trick is if I know I am going to have a glass of wine later its the first thing I put in my phone so I know I am having it and I see what else I have the rest of the day so I get my wine! This fits into my life which is more important to me. I work 2 jobs and don't have a ton of extra time. Most importantly they care they really do and they are very flexible. I am happy to say .... I fit the pants .... and I have wine & cheese :)

GOAT Fitness totally changed my attitude towards physical fitness. Rather than "exercise" at GOAT Fitness we TRAIN. Understanding the difference of a strength & conditioning PROGRAM like those offered at GOAT Fitness, compared to the exercise I did at my old personal training facility explains the difference in results. My old gym was pretty common to most "Exercise to the point of suffering while on a strict diet" I lost some weight. What my old gym did was made me dread my workouts, I was burned out, hungry, and unmotivated. Here the training sessions are physically demanding, but focused on strength goals, on pushing towards maximum performance rather than exhaustion. I've been a committed satisfied client for 6 months, I've lost 15 pounds, decreased my body fat from 26% to 19%, I went from a size 10 to a size 6. After I changed my focus from "punishing" my body with restricted calories and endless cardio at my old gym to STRENGTHENING my body at GOAT Fitness I've hit fitness milestones I never would've thought possible. Yesterday (7/17/14) me & my girls finished our 4 week Bridal Boot Camp sessions with Stephanie & Jim. We had a total of 8 sessions, each one hour long including warm up's & cool down. With my wedding quickly approaching I felt that I needed help with my work out routine & I'm very happy to have found them. They gave me so much support & encouragement & they never let me give up on myself. They really made sure that we did each exercise right so that we would get the best out of it & so that we wouldn't get hurt & they showed up for each & every session. I'm actually looking into doing another 4 weeks with them because I definitely see results & feel so much better about myself! I won't forget what Stephanie said during our last cool down session, she said "Just let go of the fear & do it, we won't let you get hurt, we won't let you fall." After the first training session with Sean, I could see that he really knows his stuff. Once he found out what my goal was (which is strength training and muscle development), he set up a work-out program specifically tailored to my needs and gave me some good suggestions for diet and supplements as well. During my training sessions with Sean, his attention to detail makes a huge difference. He makes sure that every rep is done safely, correctly, and efficiently so that my energy is not wasted. My work-outs are now smarter and more effective. His high energy and motivational talk pushes me that x-tra bit that I need to see results. In the short time that Sean has trained me, I've seen a significant increase in bicep muscle mass which has always been a stubborn area to develop in the past. Something else I appreciate is his insistance that I warm up prior to training to prevent injury, as well as stretching post work-out to minimize muscle soreness. I first contacted Sean two months ago after hearing rave reviews about him from a friend. At first I was a little reluctant to try any type of personal training or boot camp style class, because I had a TERRIBLE experience with another Pasadena boot camp. I decided to give it a go and am glad I did! I have been participating in his semi private training classes 3 days/ week for two months and I feel great. Carla Martin is a great personal trainor. She helped me excell in how I do exercises and was able to make me feel better about myself. Naturally exercising is intense but having her as a personal trainor I was always reassured that I was doing great and doing everything correctly. She is always there to push you and help you do your best and challenge yourself. The previous experience I've had with personal trainers are that they either don't push you or make you do something way too difficult but she works with you is constantly saying how great your doing. It only took an hour a week, for me, to feel great. Being in college and having a busy schedule it is difficult to find time to workout, and working out with Carla was a great and fun experience. She makes it exciting to sweat, and burn carbs I may or may not have eaten before. She is always on time and available. Her workouts are routines you don't really see anywhere in a fitness magazine or a workout dvd. Carla Martin is an excellent Personal Trainer! I began working with her earlier this year and had a great experience! She was so motivating and pushed me to my limit every time! During our sessions she encouraged me and helped me see that I was getting stronger and with each session was different! Never a dull moment! Maddie was my boot camp instructor and Pilates instructor. She is fabulous. I have worked with her for years which has meant that she has seen me through injuries, strength, and weakness and always knows how to adjust her motivation and her exercises to make sure that my workout is safe but challenging. Maddie actually cares beyond the time in the studio - she checks in, follows up, and never upsells or makes you feel bad. I appreciate her honesty and toughness but also her kindness. Josephine is an incredible and very motivating personal trainer. What I love the most about Josephine's training is how much she corrects my form. I've trained with other personal trainers in the past and not ones did they tell me I was doing my squats wrong, or other exercises they threw at me. Josephine on the other hand stops me when I am making a mistake, corrects me and tells me she much rather see me do 5 correct squats as opposed to 100 incorrect ones that won't give me results.
