"Hi there, I know it’s a lot, but please read further for the kind of work I do and don’t do before requesting an estimate. Thank you so much! My name is Danielle and I’m located in southern Florida (born and raised in eastern WA state) and as long as you’re willing to ship your jewelry to and back from me, it doesn’t matter where you’re located. I’ve worked in the jewelry industry, both retail and wholesale, for over 15 years, all around the country. I’ve been designing and creating my own jewelry for nearly 10 years. I love every aspect of jewelry and I would love to offer my services to my neighbors. I’ve spent years creating unique, special request jewelry items for my friends and family as well as repairing pieces they’ve already had for years. Why not spread that out among my neighborhood? I will never be anything but honest and my genuine self when it comes to anything and everything, including my work as a jewelry designer/builder/fixer, and I pride myself on being straight forward with my customers. I will not take the job if I don’t trust that I’m capable of going above and beyond your expectations. I’m not afraid to say what I’m capable of and what I’m not. So below are examples of what I am and am not capable of at this time. I work mainly with wire, beads (natural gemstones are my favorite), Sterling silver, gold/silver-filled, and metals with high quality platings that include a lot of pretty “antiqued” colors. Nothing I use will turn your skin green! 😜 I do not work with gold, platinum, titanium, etc. I can make/repair practically any dangle earring, beaded bracelet, anklet, or necklace requested whether it be on chain, beading wire, or a thread of some sort (materials and supplies taken into account, of course) and I’m a self proclaimed professional pearl knotter (pearls not exclusive). My favorite pieces I’ve made lately are natural gemstones on silk, knotted between each bead into double wrapped bracelets. Sustainable quality and unique. 😁 I know all of the basic and not so basic wire wrapping techniques. Show me a picture of a gemstone, I’ll name it. Hand me an ear wire, I’ll tell you the metal and whether it’s plated or not. I really dislike seed-beads...I do not own a loom, but I’m not unwilling to work with them. Unfortunately, I am NOT a metal smith, though I will absolutely be so one day. I have a block, hammer, stamps and some blanks if you want a very handmade, one of a kind stamped piece. 😉 That’s about it when it comes to straight metal fabrication. I also have basic leather stamping materials plus resin and bezels. I enjoy those, but I am a novice. All in all, if you trust me with your jewelry piece whether it be something I’m creating or a piece of yours that you’re entrusting me with, I promise you will get nothing less than quality jewelry that I have put my heart and soul into. Please contact me with any requests, concerns or questions!! Thank you so much."

"About Carter Dye Member since: 12/20/12 Carter Dye has been passionate about creating the perfect accessories for over 30 years. Carter's beginnings in the industry had him designing as a hobby at the early age of 14. His propensity for art and innate creativity led him to pursue his love as his career, and earned him 8 degrees from the Gemological Institute of America where he graduated at the top of his class. The ability to work with any metal, any stone, sketch any design, within just about any budget, is the tip of the iceberg for this talented craftsman. While Carter is very proficient and experienced in the art of design and manufacturing, he finds that the most rewarding part of the business is the opportunity to interact with his clients. A people person by nature, he enjoys the process of creating that special piece as unique as the person who wears it. To be part of an heirloom that will be in a family for generations to come is a powerful relationship. Because Carter is so versatile and able to work with any medium, he can also work within the scope of your budget. While many master jewelers are only willing to work with precious stones and metals, Carter can build your dream piece around your realistic budget. As a member of Thumbtack, Carter looks forward to building an extensive testimonial archive to add to his existing list of happy clients. I love inspiring the feelings that people have when an heirloom is restored or a vow is embellished. My sense of accomplishment comes from the smile on a customer's face when they tell me that everyone told them it couldn't be done!"
