I had a unique problem with the electrical pipe foam cover on my roof that rodents like to chew on. I read Cruz' profile & he seemed to fit the job. I called him & he came over to assess the problem. He Suggested a quick solution which made sense to me. So I hired him right away. Cruz is professional, easy & pleasant to work with. He did extra work no charge. Thank you Cruz.
I hired Casiano's to replace my kitchen faucet. The faucet was making noise and then water spray got clocked. I had already purchased a replacement faucet that was recommended by my HOA, so I just needed someone to come and replace it. I wasn't able to be present, but my renters liked that setup was friendly and professional. When I arrived to inspect the work, I found everything as good as new. I also appreciated Casiano's flexibility to accept payment via PayPal. This allowed me to not bother my renters with payments, inspect the work afterwards and pay without scheduling further visits.
We hired Home Team Services to insulate a basement crawl space that had lead to frozen pipes last winter and we experienced the same problem this winter, when we experienced below zero temperatures . I received a lot of useful information when I reached out to them and the project manager was able to schedule an appointment the same day for the Free Estimate. The project manager showed up on time and explained the process and benefits of spray foam insulation and in particular the difference between insulating with open and closed cell products. They are great to work with and I will definitely use them and recommend them and spray foam insulation to others.
Alfredo and his crew did a great job, installing insulation and the plastic membrane which covers it quickly and professionally. They were careful to put foam caulking around all the windows and plumbing passages too. This was a sizeable project: a two-story addition to my house, with some complications like a stairway and skylights to work around. There was a little delay when they ran out of plastic and none was available on a Saturday, but they came back on Monday and stayed until the job was finished, not asking for more money than had been agreed upon. I'd recommend them to any friends of mine contemplating a similar job.
I hired Attic Cat based on their good online reviews, however I had a bad experience with the workers. - We had a rat issue in the attic. I specifically told the estimator that I want to make sure that all of the rat droppings & rat contaminated particles from the attic get cleaned up and not get into my living space, as I'm pregnant and need to be very safe. I can't believe that the workers left a ton of vacuumed up rat contaminated dust/trash in my front yard! When my dad noticed it and talked to the workers, they promised to clean it up, however later they just hosed it down with water, which made it impossible to remove! - We had a disagreement with the workers about the scope of work around 1pm (we had paid for the rat proofing of the whole house and complete insulation replacement for the whole attic). The workers at the house wanted to check with the lead worker although we showed him the contract. The lead worker left around 11:30 (he said that he was going on a lunch break) and didn't come back until 3pm when the two workers in the house finished everything else. As soon as he came back he wanted us to pay him and leave and he refused to remove the rat contaminated insulation in the garage. We eventually called the estimator and got them to finish the work. - The workers's behavior was very unprofessional. They didn't communicate well. They took down a furnace panel from the attic without telling us, and we found it laying in the backyard and didn't know what happened. They also turned off the furnace without telling us and they didn't turn it back on!!! We found out a week later when we couldn't turn on the heater and it took us a few hours to figure out why. On the day of the work they just entered the house through the unlocked front door. We suddenly saw a few workers working in the house and had to ask them "who are you?? " Yes we left the front door unlocked as we are anticipating them to come, but it didn't mean that they can just enter and start working without confirming with/notifying the owner first! I understand that the workers don't speak much English, which could be a reason why some of those things happened, but they still should have communicated with us somehow. I complained to the estimator on that day, who was very polite and promised to contact the owner of Attic Cat and get back to me, but he never did. Later I called the office to spoke to a lady, who was very apologetic and also promised to contact the owner and get to me and "make it right", but she never got back to me either.
We had Outstanding construction do a full interior remodel (Kitchens/Bathrooms) including landscaping front/rear. Concrete patio and side walkway of my Moms home in Belmont. House was in need of major upgrades throughout. Entire interior was re-textured / crown moulding / kitchen demo/replace including appliances. Because KC has his own dump truck is very convenient for haul out of debris as well as pickup of landscape and other materials for the job as the job progresses. KC did have good suggestions and has the contacts to get good pricing on quality products such as Brick/cabinetry/foam accents/windows etc. Kirk and his team work very hard are conscientious and keep a tidy jobsite. He will work with any of your own subcontractors but will also provide contact details for folks he has worked with in the past. Pricing was fair after the whole job was done although it did take longer and cost more than originally estimated but from what I hear this is normal for larger re-model projects because there are so many moving parts. He had the plans drawn up and went to the city to obtain the permits...so no problems with any of the intermediate city inspections and achieved permit sign off . Our realtor who was checking in periodically on the projects progress was very impressed with the end result as was his colleagues who came to see the finished product. As testament to how well the finished product was received, when we put it on the market it sold in 7 days with multiple offers over asking. Granted alot of that had to do with the location but it also had a lot to do with the "Pop" the house had after the remodel was completed... people that looked at it were very impressed with the finished product.
