I have been coming to Shape Up Studio over a month and I'm totally pleased with my experience. I had a horrible experience with a fitness camp prior to finding out about Shape Up. I love that the trainers really focus on you crushing your fitness goals, rather than filling up classes like a lot of other trainers. The initial consultation sold me from the beginning. Markshane ran a series of evaluations on my diet, muscle strength, flexibility etc to see my current position and help me set goals. The facility is clean with updated equipment. (No out of order signs here). The fitness studio feels more personal with trainers on hand to assist you on using the equipment. No long wait to use equipment either as there tend to be only small groups at a time. I love the diversity of the clientele. There are people of all shapes and sizes, fitness levels, age groups and ethnicities working toward their results. I dropped two dress sizes within my first two weeks and I'm enjoying my transformation with each session. They motivate me to keep going and the results help push the bar each week. If you want to be in a positive energy filled environment that makes your health and fitness goals their priority- Shape Up Studio is the place for you!
I've been working out with Megan at Every Body’s Fit twice a week since November 2012 and highly recommend her. The workouts are fantastic and Megan really challenges you by making them progressively more difficult each session. Since starting with her, I am seeing significantly more definition in my legs, arms, chest, back, and torso, basically everywhere. Her rates are reasonable, about the same you'd pay somewhere like 24 hour fitness, and you get to work out in a nicer gym. Most importantly Megan is a great personal trainer and she gets RESULTS!!!!

Hands down Jobi Morrison is the BEST personal trainer! I have been training with Jobi for 5 years. I'm the strongest I have ever been! My workouts are never boring. I always look forward to see how he will challenge me with cardio, strength and balance and I am never disappointed! Eric Cruz has been my personal trainer for over two years at Dynamic Fitness High Performance Kinesiology (DF-HPK). Eric listened to my goals and we set about meeting and exceeding them. Besides being overweight and having poor eating habits, I had ongoing low energy and back pain. My exercise routine at home was not getting the results I desired anymore. Eric was able to assist me in motivating myself to be a better person. I have lost over 40 pounds and now eat healthy foods that keep me full. Eric helped me in strength, balance, posture, and in achieving a lower BMI. What is impressive is that Eric is always on time and keeps the training interesting yet challenging. Mark is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced personal trainer. He customized his approach depending on the goals that I wanted to achieve, and he always introduced new types of training so that I kept improving. Mark is punctual and ready to go no matter the time of day. Starting my days with his workouts gave me energy and significantly increased my overall well-being. I’m happy that I invested in my health and trusted Mark through this process. I would rate the quality of my training with Mark above that of Equinox or four other professional personal trainers that I worked with.
To be honest I don't quite know where to begin. There are not enough adjectives to describe how amazing Lauren Allen is. I was first introduced to Lauren through a coworker who was sharing her experience and I just had to find out for myself. I have had personal trainers in the past however I never felt comfortable enough in my journey or happy enough with my progress to continue. When I first met with Lauren I let her know this and she assured me that she would do everything she could to make me feel comfortable and to this day she has only exceeded my expectations. My initial goal when meeting with Lauren was to get in shape for my wedding by working out and eating clean. Little did I know in a matter of 4 short weeks Lauren would make me fall in love with working out and find a new appreciation for my body through the changes I have already seen. She's also taught me how to eat in a way that is real, it does not feel like I am restricted like all other diets, I am eating real food and remaining cautious of portions and moderation. Lauren has made my journey one that I will never forget and I know I will continue far past just getting fit for my wedding. Thank you Lauren for giving me my life back. I have always struggled with accepting myself and the way I look but when we work together and train you make me feel as though I am capable of anything and that all my goals are within my reach. I've been doing personal training since 2010 through many different trainers, my all time favorite was with Brittany. I went through a phase where I wasn't conditioned to training, had gained weight and wasn't use to lifting weights. The first time we trained together, I thought it was really weird but she made it of importance about my breathing and posture and didn't just get right back into lifting like I use to. A couple sessions later, I really actually felt a difference because she made it important to recondition myself and make sure that I breathe properly while I train! She not only made me feel physically fit, she was a great person to talk to, and made me feel great while I worked out and constantly pushed me to be a better person. I wouldn't ever want another trainer, and when I'm done with my break from training, Brittany and I are going to be back out there hitting those new PR's!
I am honored to write a recommendation for Kathleen Lavin. I recently moved back to San Clemente from the Bay Area. I had a 5 month old baby and my mom struggled with dementia. Kathleen was able to put together a workout program that met both of our needs. Kathleen was very flexible with us as far as a workout schedule. She was always on time or early to set up equipment she planned on using for our specific workout plan. I was most impressed with her ability to change exercises on a dime if needed. As we worked out she shared many exercise tidbits with us that we could do in the days we were not with her. She always made sure we had correct posture and position to prevent any injuries. Within a few weeks we noticed major changes. She made each work out fun. I never felt like I was doing the same thing twice so, I never got bored. She is also a wealth of knowledge in nutrition as well. Kathleen is a genuinely caring person who loves what she does and it shows! I would highly recommend Kathleen if you want an incredible personal trainer!
Tom is the best personal trainer I've ever had! If you want to get in shape immediately and feel good about yourself, Tom's the guy to get you to where you want to be! On time, courteous, and hard working! I'd recommend Tom to everybody!
I've worked with Johanna her as a trainer for over 6 mos. As a personal trainer Johanna is Very diverse and able to adapt to all your needs (nutrition, motivation, excercise regimen). Her classes are energetic and pumped up. She goes out of her way to accommodate you with scheduling. I've taken her classes for almost a year. I would always recommend her.
Rochelle was my personal trainer for several years. She is a lot of fun and she works your butt off literally!!
Lisa is experienced and knowledgeable. She brings a lot more to the table then most trainers. She is also a health coach and helps with healthy eating.
Diane and I worked for a couple of weeks and she had showed me how professional she can be. She absolutely helped me a lot in teaching me new exercises. In the beginning of our course she asked where I wanted to be when it came to how I wanted my body to be and she made my own personal fitness plan according to what I told her. The fitness plan was great! Although we had only worked for a couple of weeks, I did see some changes especially in the way I eat. To top all of that she was very sociable and understanding. She actually tries to get to know you which is great. I felt comfortable opening about myself with her. My few weeks with her were great! I totally recommend working with her!
Mike is not only an amazing personal trainer, bc he is extremely knowledgeable and always looking to learn new and innovative ways to help everyone achieve their life goals, but he's truly an inspiration and one heck of a life coach! Without his guidence I wouldn't be the person I am today, both emotionally and physically.
I've known Jon for a number of years. I met Jon when he was a student athlete at San Diego State University playing football. He's always been determined to be a personal trainer and there wasn't a droubt in my mind that he would reach that goal. When I learned that he was actually training people I had to see what he was doing. So I started following him on Instagram to see him in action. I was impressed with what he was doing with his clients that I called him up and set up an appointment. He stopped by my office (which I appreciated) and we talked about what my fitness goals and objectives were for training and the next week I was at his training facility training. He didn't go easy on me and he didn't let me slack on any part of my workouts. I thought he would take it easy on me but he didn't and I appreciate that. There were times I told him I couldn't do an exercise and that the weight was too heavy but he encouraged me to do it. And I did it. His positive attitude and patience with me makes him an AMAZING trainer. Not only does he care about your fitness journey but he cares about you as a person. Side note he allows me to have fun (telling jokes and singing) when I workout, while still pushing me to get better and stronger. I would recommend that you give Jon a chance and see for yourself what an AMAZING trainer he is.
I've used personal trainer's off & on for over 30 years , and by far Lynda has made the biggest impact ! My goal was to increase my cardio stamina & tone my body overall . We've been training outdoors ( under cover when it rains ) which I really wanted , along with another girlfriend for approximately 3 month's . I am in amazing shape at 52 years old and I lost 8 lbs !!! I'm over the moon happy .... My vitality & energy are off the chart's and I sleep like a baby . I feel more balance in my life. His level of knowledge and professionalism were instrumental to the success of our program. Mr. Cruz always seemed to be able to relate to the athletes, regardless of their background and goals.
