"Hi there! I'm so glad that you have found me on thumbtack! Let me tell you a little about myself and my background in music. I got my first drum kit when I was just 9 years old, and I've been playing ever since. Then, when I was 11, I got a bass guitar and began taking lessons. Finally, at 14, I picked up the guitar as well and began taking more lessons for guitar. So in total, I have 18 years of drumming, 16 years of bass, and 13 years of guitar under my belt. I also mess around on the piano, but I've only picked that up recently.
My experience isn't just limited to solo practice and lessons, though. I've actually logged hundreds (if not thousands) of hours on stage for live performances. I've been a resident band member at four different churches, playing various instruments for a total of 12 years, and I've played with various groups for a whole spectrum of one-off concerts, events, and conferences (too many to count or remember). I also did a year-long stint as a drummer on scholarship at the California Baptist University School of Music where I accompanied a Women's Choir. The thousands of rehearsals and live performances with different bands has made me such a better musician, and I'm truly grateful for all of those experiences.
I'm also an amateur song-writer, and I absolutely love being in the studio recording. I've written a handful of original songs and I've converted a room in my house to be my own personal recording studio. In fact, it will possibly be the very room where you get lessons! So that's right, I will send you home each week with a recording of that week's lesson!
I sincerely hope you will shoot me an e-mail with the vision you have for yourself as a musician, so that I can more specifically talk about how I can help you achieve your goals. Whether you are just starting out, or you are looking to progress as a musician, I'm sure that I have something to offer you!"
