I have been in the opera industry for over a decade. I can honestly say that Griffith saved my voice! I have both a BM and an MM in Classical Voice Performance. Several years ago, I developed pre-nodules on my vocal chords. I struggled to find a teacher who could implement the technical approach to voice lessons that prevents unhealthy singing. I found Griffith through this site, and he has been fantastic! He is able to explain what to do with each individual portion of the vocal mechanism. He understands the science behind the voice and comes up with personalized exercises based on what each singer individually needs. In addition to being knowledgeable with regards to vocal pedagogy, Griffith also helped me connect emotionally with each of the pieces that we practiced together. He makes sure that the audience can understand the meaning of each song and the messages behind the text, while ensuring that the singer’s vocal quality is as good as possible. I wish I had found Griffith sooner. He is a lifesaver when it comes to any aspect of singing and performing, and I must admit that all our lessons were significantly more fun than lessons with my other teachers!
When I came to Jan, I had damaged my voice with another coach with only 2 weeks to my next show. I was feeling really hurt and my voice had been hoarse for 6 days due to the last lesson I took. Jan gave me a warm up plan for my voice that would allow me to practice without risking further damage to my vocal cords. After following her prescription, I could feel my voice starting to respond. After 3 lessons my voice is returning to health and sounding sweeter again. I still have one more lesson before show time. I have no doubt all is and will be well for me on that stage. Yay! I'm so grateful to have found you.
I'm a songwriter that wanted to learn how to sing my own music. I've attempted to sing off and on for many years, but never really felt confident in my abilities. In as few as four weeks Richard not only made me more confident, but he has also greatly improved my voice. The reaction of my band-mates at the first rehearsal after several voice lessons was proof enough! Richard is great and he is a pleasure to work with.
Dr Stephanie is a wonderful, highly experienced teacher, who focuses on the fundamentals of voice and breathing and also individual voice style and quality. She is supportive, flexible with my difficult schedule, and always fun to work with! I would highly recommend her, especially to those looking for a more academic approach to voice lessons and those interested in classical and musical theater training.
Marquita really does offer 'Amazing Voice' lessons. She's extremely talented, intuitive and patient. I'm so thankful to have her as an instructor and would HIGHLY recommend her!
I received Voice lessons from April for almost 10 years. She took my voice from passable to truly enjoyable. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the voice and how to train it. She teaches any style of singing as well. She can improve any voice, I truly believe this.
At the time I started taking voice lessons from Kevin I had very little singing experience. He taught me how to use my voice, built up my confidence, and became a good friend. One of the things that sets him apart from other teachers is that he truly takes the time to get to know his students. Because of this, he knows exactly how to communicate to each student specifically. After two years studying with Kevin I was able to book many shows in the LA theatre scene (MTW, Cabrillo, and more), and have been on an International tour for the last year. Whether youre a seasoned professional looking for some new tips, or brand new like I was, Kevin is definitely the guy for you.
Going into my lessons with Paul, I had no idea what to expect. I'd never had voice lessons before and my voice had been an area of insecurity for me my whole life. Thankfully, Paul coaches in a way that put me,a novice, at great ease. Even after just two lessons with Paul, my acting coach noticed a difference in my vocal quality. I was able to realize how I had developed a habit of incorrect breathing and posture and how it was effecting my every day life. He not only provided me with greater skill as a performer, but with better overall habits for speaking and carrying myself in day to day life.
By far the most amazing vocal lessons ever. Immediate success, Radina is a very friendly teacher. Great techniques and very well explained, for me as a beginner exactly what I was looking for! I would recommend one full lesson a week.
Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! I would like to share my very strong endorsement of Bonnie Kousoulakis. As a classically-trained vocalist who has studied at both Brigham Young University and in the Oregon State University music program, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different vocal instructors over the years. I can say without hesitation that none have helped me in to realize my potential as a classical vocalist more than Ms. Kousoulakis. Her understanding of vocal technique and ability to help her students achieve their fullest potential, especially for the male voice, is in my experience, unparalleled. Before I began studying with Ms. Kousoulakis about 15 months ago, I was merely a singer with potential, much of which had been untapped. I lacked confidence in myself and had not developed a strong understanding of exactly how to use my instrument to its fullest potential. However, with the assistance of Ms. Kousoulakis, I have been able to achieve a quality of singing and a belief in myself that has led me to give serious consideration to pursuing a full-time professional career for the first time since I left college more than a decade ago. My experiences as her student, combined with an understanding of her own education, professional background in opera and her passion for the art, give me great confidence in recommending her.
Leila is the best guitar teacher I could have ever asked for. She not only helped me improve my skills overall but supported me in the most caring ways possible. If I ever need a lesson down the line, she will be there first person I’d even consider calling. She’s the best!!!
Spending every Thursday evening taking music lessons with Leah was one of the best parts of my childhood. I began taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and continued to take them until I graduated high school. Growing up, I learned so much from Leah about music theory, playing techniques, and life in general. Leah is one of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take music lessons. She's supportive, creative, and constantly smiling. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!
Felice is absolutely amazing! I have always been hesitant about the idea of taking voice lessons because of how nervous I get when having to sing in front of others. Felice has been able to calm my nerves and boost my confidence in my singing abilities. Plus she is very patient with me and puts up with all my quirkiness! :) I would highly recommend her to anyone!
I appreciate that Shane does not offer one-size-fits-all lessons. He's been responsive about the ways I learn best, and he comes at the skill we're tackling with tips from a variety of directions. I find his feedback and demonstrations (via Zoom during our lessons) clear and helpful. And I appreciate his resources (e.g. drills/scales), respectful use of time, supportive approach and ability to make it normal that we at first struggle in the process of internalizing better technique. We are a good fit despite being on opposite coasts!
We create customized music lessons in students' homes, and let them learn what they want to learn while giving them a solid musical foundation.

Graduated from Berklee College of Music 2013 in Music Business Management with a focus in Voice. I recently worked on accent reduction with a famous Disney teen artist. I was recently on NBC/Telemundo "Yo Soy El Artista" a spanish show equivalent to The Voice for latin american audiences. I have plenty of experience in the music industry touring, songwriting, vocal production/vocal arranging and doing background vocal work. I was born and raised in the US. Spanish was my first language. I speak French and Portuguese as well. I grew up singing in church at a very young age. I believe that gave me an innate ability to improv at the drop of a hat! I can also teach you to accompany yourself with guitar or piano! Comfortable teaching all styles, but my main strengths lie within the pop/R&B genres. I'll focus all my energies to get to where you wanna be! I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!
I do private piano lessons for all ages and levels and if you have an acoustic piano or keyboard. Beginners, intermediate and high levels are welcome. Prepare for a school recital, peagants, concert, exams, tests. I do coaching for singing and playing from simple to professional. Lessons are half an hour, once a week. Depending on your progress, we'll increase the time.
I am as independent of a musician as you will ever fine. I am completely self motivated, and my style is unique. If you're exclusively looking for a teacher to guide you through the standard classical approaches I'm probably not your guy, but if you're looking through a teacher who is knowledgeable and mindful of theory and technique while recognizing the value of exploration and playfulness in music I might be your right guy. My goal is to draw my students closer to their own creative passions.
We teach private music lessons including piano, guitar, voice, and we also provide private acting coaching. All teachers are university-trained and perform professionally in their fields.
