As a singer that had taken a year or two of voice lessons, Griff helped reverse a lot of the bad habits I had developed and re-taught the basics to put me on the right track. Seeing really promising progress with him and things are starting to click!
When I came to Jan, I had damaged my voice with another coach with only 2 weeks to my next show. I was feeling really hurt and my voice had been hoarse for 6 days due to the last lesson I took. Jan gave me a warm up plan for my voice that would allow me to practice without risking further damage to my vocal cords. After following her prescription, I could feel my voice starting to respond. After 3 lessons my voice is returning to health and sounding sweeter again. I still have one more lesson before show time. I have no doubt all is and will be well for me on that stage. Yay! I'm so grateful to have found you.
Richard is an excellent teacher! My fear of hitting a high note is gone after a few lessons from him. Also, my range and tone greatly improved under his tutelage. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to take voice lessons.
Dr Stephanie is a wonderful, highly experienced teacher, who focuses on the fundamentals of voice and breathing and also individual voice style and quality. She is supportive, flexible with my difficult schedule, and always fun to work with! I would highly recommend her, especially to those looking for a more academic approach to voice lessons and those interested in classical and musical theater training.
I graduated with a degree in theatre and have always wanted to sing. I've toured with my dad and have taken voice lessons with many teachers over the years. Rickie Gole is the teacher I have been looking for my whole life. When I first tried her class all I knew about her was that her students (who I went to school with) were always getting cast and hired. They had beautiful voices and I wanted so badly to sing like them. Since taking lessons with her for about a month now I have discovered something else. I am finding a new voice that is completely mine. I leave her classes more confident, happier, and freer. My biggest obstacle so far is trying not to get emotional because my voice is shocking me. It's how I've always wanted to sing and never believed I could. I completely don't recognize it. Her genuinely warm and encouraging presence makes me unafraid to make mistakes and try new things and because of that I'm singing like I never have in my life. Thank you Rickie.
After almost about... I dunno, what is it, 3 or 4 years of talking Amazing Voice Lessons? Anyway, after about that many years or so, I gotta say that these lessons really HAVE improved my singing a lot. Not only has it helped my singing and performance on stage, but it's also helped my self-esteem and enabled me to relax and just let my hair down. I hope to keep continuing these lessons for as long as I can because trust me, AVL is a gift that just keeps on giving.
I have been taking lessons with Jamie since the middle of November. A short time after my lessons began I could already read the sheet music. She is very organized, she printed off helpful tips and music I was interested in and put them all in a folder with page protectors. She is always ready to go when I walk in for my lesson. Also she is very patient with my many mistakes.
By far the most amazing vocal lessons ever. Immediate success, Radina is a very friendly teacher. Great techniques and very well explained, for me as a beginner exactly what I was looking for! I would recommend one full lesson a week.
Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! I have taken voice lessons with Dena Murray myself, as well as observed her work with many other students. Dena is a wonderful teacher who combines technical mastery of her subject with natural intuition to help students overcome any obstacles. Highly recommended!
I would like to share my very strong endorsement of Bonnie Kousoulakis. As a classically-trained vocalist who has studied at both Brigham Young University and in the Oregon State University music program, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different vocal instructors over the years. I can say without hesitation that none have helped me in to realize my potential as a classical vocalist more than Ms. Kousoulakis. Her understanding of vocal technique and ability to help her students achieve their fullest potential, especially for the male voice, is in my experience, unparalleled. Before I began studying with Ms. Kousoulakis about 15 months ago, I was merely a singer with potential, much of which had been untapped. I lacked confidence in myself and had not developed a strong understanding of exactly how to use my instrument to its fullest potential. However, with the assistance of Ms. Kousoulakis, I have been able to achieve a quality of singing and a belief in myself that has led me to give serious consideration to pursuing a full-time professional career for the first time since I left college more than a decade ago. My experiences as her student, combined with an understanding of her own education, professional background in opera and her passion for the art, give me great confidence in recommending her.
Leila is the best guitar teacher I could have ever asked for. She not only helped me improve my skills overall but supported me in the most caring ways possible. If I ever need a lesson down the line, she will be there first person I’d even consider calling. She’s the best!!!
Zach has taught our daughter for 2 years. She has learned more than we can every imagine in this period of time. Not only has she become a more skilled guitar player and vocalist, she has come to love songwriting. Even more important, Zach has coached our daughter through several important events and encouraged her as she stretched herself by musically and personally. By example, he has helped transform her from a simple guitar student taking weekly lessons to a musician eager to do more, try more and stretch beyond what she thought we limits. Even more important to us, Zach has help nurture a self-confidence that can only come from learning from a vibrant, enthusiastic, talented coach and artist. He has forever impacted our daughter's life and will be a part of her story for years to come.
Been taking Guitar/Vocal lessons with Michael for 7 years. Not only is he a skilled Musician and Teacher, but he is also an exemplar and will push you out of your comfort zone.
I always enjoy our French lessons!
I've always wanted to try piano lessons and came across Shannon Hunt Music online- and decided to give it a try! I have always wanted to learn to play and Shannon is a great place to start. She is fun, warm, easy to learn from, and there is never a dull moment. We are 5 lessons in and I am already feeling at home at the keyboard. Would highly recommend her to anyone!!
Spending every Thursday evening taking music lessons with Leah was one of the best parts of my childhood. I began taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and continued to take them until I graduated high school. Growing up, I learned so much from Leah about music theory, playing techniques, and life in general. Leah is one of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take music lessons. She's supportive, creative, and constantly smiling. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!
It was a great lessons with you, Carlos! Thank you so much! Thank you for the videos and mp3 files as well! I really love you books too.
Felice is absolutely amazing! I have always been hesitant about the idea of taking voice lessons because of how nervous I get when having to sing in front of others. Felice has been able to calm my nerves and boost my confidence in my singing abilities. Plus she is very patient with me and puts up with all my quirkiness! :) I would highly recommend her to anyone!
