Went out for HVAC estimate, told me I needed new compressor for $7,000+ or a replacement unit for $13,000. I had another tech go out and he said compressor and unit overall were in good shape. However, the thermostat was not wired correctly. Tech re-wired thermostat and charged me $180. unit runs like a dream. If you want to overpay for inaccurate HVAC work, look no further than Excel.
