I would highly recommend Mr. Solis for any type of electrical or handyman services at your home or business. He is very skilled, responsive, dependable and trustworthy. We were very happy with the new recessed lighting he installed in our bathroom and painting as well! Alex
Fantastic work. Always punctual, took great care to protect areas that weren't impacted by the construction (such as keeping dust out of other rooms). Did great work.
German delivered as promised. I was in a jam and needed desperately to finish the project by a certain date. He also had to work around a construction crew which meant coming over early in the evenings a few times. He and his crew were polite, reliable and competent. Highly recommended!
I had a small damaged dresser that I needed taken from my house. Matt answered the call and was curteous, prompt and very professiional. He informed me that cabinet builfding and construction arenhis profession and I would definitly seek him out again for additional work.
Tom has been a Godsend and he has been a wealth of knowledge. He shows up when he says he will, has fair prices, organized, and efficient. We needed someone to help us paint our cabinets and he recommended a great contractor in addition to his services. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone I know. I cannot talk him up enough.
Richard Hynes is a very detailed professional. Upon meeting Richard I felt comfortable about the project. We originally wanted to order materials for the project and he had suggested to me that he would order any materials and provide us with the receipts. Luckily we let him order the material as it turns out the ones we wanted to order were undersized for our project. Richard came and seismically retrofitted our home. He also helped us on our kitchen and bathroom remodels while managing the project the whole way, hiring subs, coordinating between myself and subcontractors and achieving the results desired. Richards pricing was 20% cheaper compared to licensed professionals in the area. We are so glad to have had his help, as the previous worker we hired from thumbtack turned out to be unlicensed at a cheaper price, but ended up costing us a lot more money in the long run.
Nicki has been the designer for 2 of our home remodel projects. For our kitchen/dining room/living room she created an open contemporary multi-purpose fabulous space that we love every day! She coordinated with the contractor on all work. For our master bathroom/bedroom and den/2nd bath--again she executed great use of space, color, and design. We loved that she got what our personal tastes and design style was. She created original designs, including custom cabinetry and tile work.
Angel and his crew made two pillars and four below-ground concrete pylons as footing for a 4-legged gazebo to straddle a circular pavilion in my backyard. His crew also poured a 7’ x 2’ concrete slab in our side yard to function as a grill parking spot. Angel had car trouble the first day, which delayed the start of work to two days later than we had agreed on. His crew spread the work over three evenings, delaying another crew's start date for assembly of the gazebo by two days. The posted rate for Angel's work was $45/hour. When the work was finished, Angel presented me with a bill that would have charged $40 an hour for each of his crew's 5 laborers. Angel may be an engineer worth $45 an hour, but someone digging a hole for concrete does not earn $40 an hour, so we renegotiated. Angel received $45/hour, and each of his workers earned $20/hour. We declined to pay for hours when multiple workers were present, but only one of them was working, since the others were just waiting for Angel to arrive. In addition to wages and materials, we paid $150 for gas. Angel would have spent less on gas, if the work had been concentrated into fewer days, which I would have preferred. The end result is: the anchors are level. The two front pillars have air pockets as large as 0.5" h x 2.5" in the sides, indicating the cement wasn’t packed down well. (I will use filler to get a smooth surface, after which paint will be necessary to hide the filler.) The work started late, was spread over too many days, and the concrete pillars should not have the air pockets they have. On the up side, I appreciated how clean the worksite was when Angel finished. He also gave me a few expert answers to questions I had about other potential concrete projects. Angel is polite and knowledgeable. Even so, it is important to be very specific with your timeline, cost expectations, and aesthetics up front.
I was impressed with Thumbtack and with Anderson Maintenance & Construction. The work was done quickly, he coordinated with the tenant directly, and did the work in a skilled and professional manner.
Scorpion Services did an amazing job building our deck and gazebo. We are so please they were able to complete the job in 2 days! I would highly recommend them! We plan to use their services for another few projects we have planned throughout this year. Installing grass and sprinkler system will definitely be one of the next projects.
We had Ryan over yesterday to repair 3 interior doors in a very old and actually historic San Franciscan Victorian house. In addition to the three interior doors, Ryan painted the front door which had also just been replaced. His attention to detail was great, there were constant adjustments to make sure everything fit, latched, matched, didn't drag, looked great, etc. His response was prompt, he replied almost immediately and was available to start the very next day. He came prepared for the job, from start to finish. Ryan is very up front and fair in terms of compensation. You will have zero issue with the transparency and fairness of his bids. It should also be noted that this is a very old building. The areas where the door hinges connected to the wall/door frame were extremely dilapidated, the wood was old and and over drilled. It was like putty. But Ryan rocked it. Not only did Ryan pay close attention to the style of the Victorian building and matched the details perfectly, his finished product was seamless. You can't even tell that work had been done. There wasn't even dust on the floor. It was legit, honest good work. 100% recommend.
Amazing company. Family owned business that did an amazing work on a painting and flooring installation. Worked with Ricky and he was just a pleasure to work with. Super responsive, very reasonable with price. He did a great job setting expectations and the job was finished ahead of schedule! I really appreciated his dedication to quality and was quick to spot and correct anything that wasn't up to his standards (which were higher than my own!). Great company and would definitely hire them again.
I hired them to lay the engineered bamboo floor in my condo. They did exactly what promised and in the time they originally specified. I have been doing remidelling and construction of my rentals and my resident for the last 10 years and very much familiar with the business. Out if many contractors or handymen i met Jason and Regina are the outstanding team. They work fast, they are very proactive and attentive to details. And their price was reasonable. What is the most important for me is that they do listen to my suggestions - not like many macho style contractors:). The floor work looks absolutely great and i am very happy. So that i would like to hire them for other work on my rental property.
Giving a thumbs up to Fatos for his work remodeling and extending an outside deck. He works by the hour with direct reimbursement for materials. His workmanship is top notch and I am very satisfied with the end product His initial estimate of about two weeks for this project was about right. I had the initial estimated quantity of materials delivered and paid for, then he got the rest ad-hoc as needed for which I reimbursed him. I've done plenty of construction myself, both contracting and with a hammer. But I wanted this done quickly and didn't have the time myself (mom's house in Napa) as I don't live nearby. Was a little nervous about the hourly arrangement as this can remove incentive to get work done timely and pad the bill, especially as I couldn't be there constantly to oversee. Happy to say Fatos worked hard and honestly and I feel I got good value for the money. To be clear he is a handyman, not a licensed contractor. This means liability is on the customer and any potential dispute resolution can be murkey. With that said, I recommend him for your small to medium sized projects.
If we could give Wise Stage Remodeling more stars than 5, we would! We hired Wise Stage Remodeling to finish a very difficult and messy remodel in San Francisco (single family house). A previous contractor messed the remodel up beyond belief and left it in shambles, while we were out of town. None of the new contractors were even willing to consider taking this job and we were desperate. Sergey from Wise Stage Remodeling responded to our request via Thumbtack. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and timeframe to finish the project. Sergey and his team (especially Arthur, his carpenter, who's amazing with cabinets, doors, tiling) were extremely diligent and hardworking. They remodeled the kitchen from top to bottom, as well as finished remodeling the rest of messy unfinished projects of all levels of difficulty throughout the house. Sergey and Arthur pulled us out of a very messy situation and made the impossible possible. They were both incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout the entire construction process: hardworking, honest, and polite guys. Their attention to detail and ability to face our complex construction issues alleviated a lot of stress and pain on our part. We simply lucked out w/hiring Wise Stage Remodeling. We've been through a number of remodels with a few of our properties in San Francisco, and never had a more pleasant experience with the contractors. We would absolutely, without a doubt, recommend hiring Wise State in a heartbeat!
I've just hired Yaeger construction for a bathrm remodel. The work hasn't started, so I will post another review about the work quality when that is done. My experience working with Chuck Yaeger upto now has been a positive one - he has great ideas and can suggest good options. His extensive experience working on bathroom remodels really shows through in conversations - he was willing to work with 3 design options that we started off with. Compared to other contractors I reached out to it was really easy to work with Chuck and I felt comfortable signing with him
Devin has undertaken a number of projects for me over the past few years, ranging from quite small (realigning cabinet doors) to significant (bathroom remodel, new backyard fence, custom barn door). In each and every case, he has been reliable, courteous, pleasant to deal with, and conscientious about both the quality of his work and minimizing disruption to our household during construction. His work is top notch and he asks questions along the way to make sure that the finished product meets our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend Devin.
I have worked with Michael on multiple projects over the last 25 years, with outstanding results. Michael is skilled, honest, diligent and reliable. He has extraordinary experience running jobs with the highest level of expense and finish (e.g., Greene Brothers quality residential work), but my work with him has been on more modest residential remodels. I can recommend Michael without reservation. Rob
Eduardo and his team beat all my expectations. I had a small construction project and now want these guys to do many more things . Cannot praise them enough.
As a Property Management Company, it is always our best interest to get the best, most reliable contractors available. ROBINSON CONSTRUCTION has continued to perform at the top. He is efficient, priced fairly and performs great work! He is highly recommended.
My initial request was to have a cabinet removed so my new fridge could fit in the space, but never thought of salvaging the existing cabinet and reusing it, and that was what Paul did. He did an amazing job and now I have extra storage space above the fridge. He exceeded my expectations. The only con was that there was saw-dust everywhere and it took a long time to clean it up myself. He did provide a covering for the floor but it wasn't enough; still the job exceeded my expectations and am happy with the final outcome.
