Diane was a wonderful Spanish tutor. Teaching a new language to a hearing impaired student is a challenge to most teachers but she came prepared with different modalities and materials to accommodate my hearing impairment. She was also open to suggestions and incorporated them into the lessons. I learned useful vocabulary as well as traditional language building techniques. Diane was flexible and willing to accommodate scheduling sessions to meet lifes busy days. I would definitely recommend Diane as a Spanish instructor.

I tutor in Spanish and math because I am dedicated to education, and I truly care about helping others learn.
Learning another language should not include pressure and stress, that is why in my class the student attends classes relaxed and open minded. Lessons are imparted in my home. I understand that some teachers offer to come to your home, work or other meeting place. However, my classes include conversational, grammar, reading, and writing skills, and we use a variety of materials depending on the skills of which we are working. It is therefore important to have all materials readily on had in order to avoid student frustration and disappointment due to lack of necessary materials and resources to complete an effective lesson. All my classes are tailored to each student and adjusted to the rhythm of the student. There are no specific hours for each level, as progressing to different levels depends on each student.
I do private lessons on Russian at any levels, from speaking to writing, grammar and all related to the Russian language.
Real life experience! I have lived in Spain and Mexico and have friends in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, and in the USA with whom I speak Spanish regularly. So my Spanish isn't just textbook-proper, it's also day-to-day real! I have translated for a music magazine, a comic magazine, a Mayan author, and as part of my own research and work with indigenous peoples, so my knowledge/vocabulary base is very diverse.

Spanish is becoming more and more important with regard to business. Learning Spanish will enable you to better communicate with Spanish speaking employees or coworkers. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to offer your product or service to the 350 million people whose mother tongue is Spanish? In North America, Hispanic consumers are the fastest-growing market segment. As for job opportunities, it certainly wouldn't hurt to have Spanish on your resume. In the United States, knowing Spanish can be particularly helpful if you work in healthcare or education. Increasingly, the building trades are employing more and more Spanish speaking workers. One thing is certain. If you are bilingual, you will be more marketable and have more career choices than your monolingual counterpart. Globalization, with its accompanying free trade agreements, is shrinking the business world, and those who know more than one language will definitely have the edge. Spanish is everywhere. With well over 35 million Spanish speakers in the United States and with over 40% of the population growth being among the Hispanic people, the stage is set for an enormous increase in Spanish usage in the United States. This has sparked a lot of interest among US citizens, a group not particularly known for their multilingualism. This interest will only increase as the Hispanic population of the US approaches 50 million by the year 2015, but it's not only in the US where Spanish is popular, but also in Europe where Spanish is the second most popular second language, after English. With some 400 million speakers, Spanish is the fourth most commonly spoken language in the world. Only Mandarin, English and Hindi have more speakers. If you count only native speakers, Spanish outranks English. Spanish is an official language on four continents and is the mother tongue in 21 countries. The sheer number of Spanish speakers and their rate of growth makes learning Spanish a smart choice.
I tutor ages pre-K to 8th grade. I teach at two schools and work at two schools. I have 25 years of experience. I am experienced in these grade levels.
I am a Spanish and English teacher, and I've been teaching for more than 8 years. I have experience with children and adults too. I use many systems according to each student's abilities and personality.
I am a multilingual language tutor who is able to explain and bridge the language gap that many native English speakers may feel in other language learning environments using their own experience. When the 'light goes on' with language, it makes my work all worth it. I learned Spanish in school (eight years between high school and college) as well as from teenage work trips to Mexico and Costa Rica. Also, I worked in export to Latin America for over a year. The bulk of my language learning of Mandarin was in the US Navy, practically immersed for two years and have studied in China for six weeks in a Beijing school of economics. I am interested in teaching people language for business and pleasure trips, tutoring that will supplement book learning, providing interpretation services both in the US and abroad as well as ad hoc translations into English from Spanish and Chinese.
I help people to understand better their math and Spanish. I teach them different ways to make their math easy and fun. I will study with them. For Spanish, I'll help them with their homework, pronunciation and help them read. I help them writing and spelling it correctly. Spanish it's my main language, so I'm really good at speaking and writing it. For math, I'm an statistic right now, I can teach my students pre-algebra, algebra, and simple math, but not further than statistics.
I primarily help students learn or develop their piano or clarinet skills. I have enjoyed playing these instruments for almost 12 years and have been fortunate enough to perform all over the United States. Math has a surprising connection to music. As a student of the agricultural sciences, I look forward to sharing my passion for art and math with you.
