Lynell and I have worked together for the past six months (and counting)! I have worked with other health coaches before and even professionally edited a holistic health coach book, but these coaches' knowledge pales in comparison to Lynell's knowledge and expertise. Lynell is very supportive and is very knowledgeable about health and fitness. However, she goes beyond just your average health coach that's out there. Her coaching comes from a psychological approach, including whole body wellness and stress management techniques, and the word "diet" (as in the starve yourself dieting to lose weight) does not exist when she works with you. She helps you create healthy habits from a goal-setting perspective that are both realistic and produce amazing results. As a result of working with Lynell, not only have I lost almost 20 pounds but I have more energy and feel more focused and organized in my life, especially with my career path. I'm a freelance copywriter who works from home and Lynell has really helped me to really hone into my career goals as well as my personal health and wellness goals. Lynell also has a background working with diabetic clients and is very knowledgeable about diabetes and how to be heart-healthy. She is dedicated to helping her clients prevent heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. She has helped me focus on my sodium intake. In the past, I had issues with on-off again high blood pressure and with Lynell's help and assistance, I've been able to keep my numbers at a healthy range. There is a lot of confusion out there about nutrition and healthy eating and there is a LOT of misinformation on the internet. Lynell's approach is realistic and works in "real life." She doesn't set you up to fail and she's there every step of the way with you. Lynell concentrates on the basics of nutrition so you don't feel overwhelmed. She walks you step-by-step through the goal-setting process and encourages and supports you during each coaching session which gives me confidence and feels like I'm not alone in my health and wellness journey. I'm 44 years old and am dealing with perimenopausal symptoms. Lynell is very empathetic and has shared invaluable tips and information about the types of foods and nutrition I should focus on for healthy balanced hormones. As a woman, I feel like she really "gets" what I'm going through and really listens. I highly recommend working with Lynell. If you feel like you are spinning out of control and don't know how to get your health back on track or want to exercise but don't know where to start, definitely hire Lynell for her coaching sessions. She's an amazing coach and is a very positive and uplifting person who always see the bright side in every situation!
I met Vlad at Anytime Fitness in Natomas about a year ago, he started offering HIIT training classes in Monday which I started attending. I immediately started really enjoying theses classes and Vlad's training methods. Over the last couple months I started thinking about hiring Vlad for personal training to really take my training to the next level. His wealth of knowledge from nutrition, supplements, weight training, stretching, and pretty much anything else you can think of has greatly transformed my time in the gym and helped me become way more fit. I've been training with Vlad for about a month now, and have already seen rapid gains in strength and muscle endurance. My body is more tone and lean due the nutrition and supplement advice he has give me. My wife is 39 weeks pregnant and she also took advantage of training offered by a lad during her pregnancy. He customized workouts for he to do as she progressed through the pregnancy. He's a great guy, with an awesome attitude. I highly recomend hiring him for training if you're serious about getting in shape. It's not easy, but trust me when I say he will tailor you're training to give you exactly what it is you're looking for from the workouts.
When I first started working out with Dave, a little over five months ago, I had no idea where the experience would take me. I've long had an aversion to exercise, or thought I did. Dave helps me motivate myself and often reminds me how awesome I am - and, he has actually convinced me working out can be FUN. If I come in for my 6:30 session grumbling, I typically will walk out with a much more upbeat attitude to start my day! I have seen exponential improvement in my strength, balance, coordination, and perhaps most importantly, self-confidence! Nsima is seriously a legit GREAT trainer. Don't let his stern appearance fool you, he is a friendly giant lol. I assure you he is 100% NATURAL. He works really hard for what he wants and it shows. He knows what he is doing and knows what is he talking about, very KNOWLEDGEABLE for sure! He is all about FORM, FORM, FORM and of course nutrition! I 100% completely recommend him whether you are trying to lose weight, gain weight, tone, or compete in shows. He is very supportive and understanding. He is also very flexible. If something comes up and you can't make a session, he is very lenient as long as you give him at least a 24hr notice. He provides a breakdown of macros (i like his program because you can pretty much eat whatever you want as long as it fits your macros numbers), what it means in regards to your body and how each workout benefits each muscle group. He provides workout regiments catered to his gym and as well as other commercial gyms if you can't make it to the gym that he trains at. Another thing about Nsima is that he is not like most personal trainers-he talks to you with respect and patience and does not think he is above you. He actually cares about your gains and losses and will also go over what it is that is preventing you from both. He pushes you to do better in each workout and if you can't, no problem! He will adjust the workout to what you can do so there is no pressure of "failing" with him. He rather you do it safely in correct form at a lighter weight and less reps/sets than do heavy weights at an incorrect form. He gives great advice and tips generously and is easily accessible via phone, email, and/or in person. He is also budget friendly. His rates for in person training and online training is WAY cheaper than most trainers who charge around $100+ for a 1 HOUR session only. I was training with him for about 3-4 months and saw a noticeable change in my problematic areas such as abs and triceps. If it weren't for such a busy schedule this year I would still be with him. I cannot wait until I can train with him again! =)
Ken Karnack, owner of Old School Fitness, has been my online coach since March 2011. I am 43 and up until I was 30 I was in incredible shape. At 30 I got married, had kids and I forgot about me. I ballooned up to 280 lbs from 220 with a 29" waste. I did the weight loss diets, doctors etc for years. I started looking for help 10 years ago. I started having health concerns. Vision loss from phentermine diets, blood pressure over 153/110 and just plain out felt like I was dying a slow death. Being a former athlete and knowing what I was capable of made it worse. I came across Ken and what he has done at his age and said I could do that. So I contacted and determined to make a change. Ken has knowledge and experience and knows how to fix me. In my words I am broken. Quitting is easy but Ken keeps me on course and is more than a fitness and diet guru. He listens when I want to quit and throw the towel in. I am 249 now and stronger than I have been in years. For the first time I know I found the answer and it was not a tv show or fad diet. It was Ken Karnack!! In the end it will be because of him I will be able to say I am in the best shape of my life and healthy again. We are going to 220 lbs. This is a journey and Ken my navigator. I trusted him with my life and he is making it possible for me to set a positive example for my kids that they can do anything and how to stay healthy. My 13 year old son was fat when I started this. He watched me and he started to care about himself. He is lean right now and happy. So Ken has helped me in many ways and continues to. I cannot tell you what he has meant to me and my family!

Sierra is the very best personal trainer in the business. Her workouts are very well planned and include aside variety of exercises so the client never gets bored or feels the workout is monotonous. I highly recommend her!

An incredibly knowledgeable individual when it comes to athletic personal betterment. I saw significant improvements in the time I was being trained by Cole. My lifting, general fitness, and running time trials all got much better. He was clear with instructions and explanations. He was patient and flexible--an all-around awesome person to be around. You can see the passion he has for personal training. I am very satisfied with both the outcome and the experience.
