It's been just 2 weeks (4 sessions) since I started training with Markshane from Shape Up Studios, and it's been so awesome so far that I felt compelled to write a review about my experience!  We had our first consultation 3 weeks ago, and i was a little hesitant about getting a new trainer (since i had to leave my old  trainer do to relocating to SD)and wondered if he'd meet my expectations. I'm a figure competitor and love to workout but just got stuck in a boring routine and started falling short of meeting my goals to get me back out on stage.  Not only did he have the same visions for me when I walked in and met with him for the first time, but I'm already on the fast track to meeting the goals.   My energy is up and my confidence is back!  If you are looking for someone to who will motivate you, listen to what you need, make a personalized plan for you, push you to your limits, and help you start reaching your goals, then I definitely recommend Markshane.

I highly recommend Izzy for all levels of fitness. I started training with him to get out of a fitness slump, and stayed because his workouts had me feeling amazing and strong. I recently did a private instruction session with A. Doyle. It was my second time ever doing yoga and I was intimidated by the atmosphere of a gym class. Allison's instruction was the perfect alternative. I didn't feel self-concious at all. I learned classic yoga poses and breathing techniques. She tailored the lesson to my beginner level and was very attune to my particular strengths and limitations. She had alernative poses ready for me in the case that something was too challenging, so I never felt like I "couldn't" do the lesson. She was attentive to correcting my form (making "adjustments") so that I had a good foundation to start on. I feel that in a group class I wouldn't have gotten nearly the personal attention. She takes her time and even repeated the lesson once we were finished (without my asking) so I could try it at a different pace and with my new knowledge. I appreciated that she didn't watch the clock or appear rushed in the least. She seems to truly love what she does and is perfectly suited for private instruction. Her rate is more than fair for the quality of instruction you receive.

I have always worked out, primarily at group classes like Barry's Bootcamp. While I felt in shape, I saw little change in strength and overall fitness. After interviewing with several trainers, I went to Tom looking to see actual results, an improvement in strength and for nutrition advice. I have been working out with Tom since April, and am in the best shape of my life. His workouts are challenging, and personalized to my goals. I have developed more strength, confidence, and overall fitness in 8 months then I had in 3 years in group classes. I think the most valuable part of Tom's training has been the nutrition advice. His meal "plan" (and I hesitate to call it that) is easy to understand and follow, encourages REAL, nourishing food, and most importantly, balance. Unlike my experience with other trainers, I have never felt hungry or restricted, and have never had a better relationship with food. As a bonus, he can also be funny. I highly recommend Tom!

I hired Tom initially to get in shape for my approaching wedding in Hawaii, which I then continued for 3 months after as the results were excellent. Tom pays attention to your goals, habits, metabolic type, and physical abilities. His diet suggestions and diversity in workout routines kept things interesting and fun (as fun as working out can be at first!) Tom's knowledge of CrossFit training, weights, and various other disciplines set him apart from your typical 24hr fitness trainer. I engaged with Diane at the most pivotal time in my life, when I had some critical decisions to make about what I was going to do next and needed to get back in touch with the things that were meaningful and effective for me at a deep level. There is no denying that we were successful in getting to a path forward, as I've come out of the coaching exercise more sure of myself, confident, resilient and grounded then I've felt in a long time. Diane and I worked for a couple of weeks and she had showed me how professional she can be. She absolutely helped me a lot in teaching me new exercises. In the beginning of our course she asked where I wanted to be when it came to how I wanted my body to be and she made my own personal fitness plan according to what I told her. I had the privilege to work with Lisa Michele and give her program my highest recommendation! The 90-day program put together by Lisa exceeded all my expectations! She taught me different ways to think about food, in terms of eating and preparing food. We also spent time discussing fitness topics, and even though I live in Phoenix, she was able to prescribe an exercise program that helped me meet my fitness and health goals. In 2005, I was at my heaviest body weight, physically weakest, and not in the best mind set. I started to exercise and become more conscious of my diet/eating habits. I lost a little weight on my own, but needed a little more motivation and/or needed a push to be held accountable for reaching goals. I did a lot of research on the internet on Fitness Trainers before deciding on Colby and was thoroughly impressed & satisfied with the training program he set out for me. I loved the professionalism of the whole experience; his knowledge, work ethic, the FACILITY & STAFF. It was not a "meat locker" but people with a common purpose working hard to attain it. What I love was Colby was 100% on me in training ... no wandering eyes, answering phone with other clients and NEVER gave me the sense he was board with what he was doing. Always encouraging and keenly aware of what I was going thru mentally as well as physically. Though I have moved out of the area, I still hitting him up with advice and help & he always responds ... he is the man! Try that with some of the other trainers after your contract is up! Candon has been my personal trainer since 2014 and I am in so much better shape today, both physically and mentally, than when we started. In 2014 I was a real "newbie" -- with lots of "nevers": had a gym membership, "worked out", had a personal trainer, the list went on. Candon worked with me to assess what my goals were and what I wanted to achieve. He is very knowledgeable of physical anatomy. He's helped me so many times when I've come in suffering with overused or strained muscles--a side effect from sitting all day at my office job--he seems to know just the right exercises to help alleviate the pain and strengthen at the same time. He also helped a great deal during my rehabilitation after having both of my hips replaced. We both feel that I've healed fast. Candon has a great sense of humor and for me being able to have fun and laugh while I'm sweating and working my butt off is a real plus. (Sometimes we lose track of the number of reps and I end up working even harder!) Tony has been absolutely fantastic to work with. He was the only trainer that actually read what I posted and didn't send out a canned response. I am disabled and Tony has adapted my routine to fit within what my body is capable of and the results have been impressive. I had never lifted weights before and could barely dead lift 185lbs 6 weeks ago. I can now pull 365lbs and I'm certain the weight will just keep going up. I am having similar results with the other major lifts that we are doing. Tony is a knowledgeable trainer that easy going and makes his students feel comfortable. He is genuinely excited to see you get a personal record! When you are in the gym, his entire focus is on you. We spent a lot of time learning correct form and adding weight later. Tony has worked with me on the little details like changing how I set up under the bar when I am going to squat. I used to take too many steps to get into position with the weight on my shoulders and had issues clearing the pegs on the rack. We worked on setting up with my feet close together and changing which foot I started back with. This allowed me to comfortably clear the pegs and get into a proper position with 3 steps instead of 5. That makes a huge difference when you have a heavy weight on your shoulders. I recommend Tony without hesitation.

I've worked with Roger since April of 2014. I'm a "weekend warrior" and have had a hard time maintaining my own fitness between drills. Roger has helped me not only maintain, but excel. I went from a previous max of 51 pushups in basic training to 78 pushups working with him. I'm also extraordinarily impressed with the number of outstanding professional certifications he holds. I know I'm not simply getting someone who can motivate me, but someone who can help me exercise in the healthy ways I need most. The personal trainers here are really great! KD, my personal trainer has helped me reduce my bodyfat percentage from 18.1% to 14.9% in LESS THAN A MONTH! I am well on my way of achieving my goal of having a six pack! In addition, my strength and endurance have increased exponentially! KD creates personalized training workouts for each individual. She also pushes you to your personal limit and is a constant source of encouragement. I always look forward to my training sessions and the session keep my motivation going. The facility here are also awesome! They have state of the art equipment, better than any other gym I’ve been to (even better than the one at Bellagio.) Sarah! Where do I start? I haven’t worked out since college. Sarah is friendly, funny, and kicked my butt! I hated...and i mean hated working out. She made it enjoyable fore me again by throwing in things like ropes, sleds, and different exercises outside of the studio. I never felt stuck. I am incredibly pleased with Forest Grown Health. Jamie is highly motivating & professional. He always sticks to our schedule. Even if I don’t want to workout, I know he has already planned a session custom to my abilities; his dedication encourages mine. It’s impressive how he never makes me feel uncomfortable which is a very easy mistake to make in a body-centric career. With Jamie’s guidance, my body has transformed physically & functionally. I love the progress. The workouts are always different & challenging; I never know what we are doing. I haven’t had a workout routine that I’ve stuck to in years. I’m 5 months committed & doubled my sessions for the new year!
