When my mother passed last month, I was faced with the task of packing up her apartment and moving her things from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I have never hired movers before, and found the process very challenging. That challenge ended when I met Mario Borjas. I spoke to movers, many movers. Many would not give an on-site estimate, nor a binding estimate. Mario did both. Many movers asked for a deposit or 50% payment at time of pick-up. Mario did not. Many companies charged in excess of $3000 for an exclusive move LA to SF. Mario's bid was more reasonable and binding. Mario - and his crew Eric, Juan, and Antonio - did an amazing job. They packed and moved things efficiently and carefully. Nothing was damaged and the job was accomplished as promised. My friends, neighbors, and I were very impressed with their well-mannered professionalism. I enthusiastically recommend MGB Relocations for any moving projects. This is my first time using Thumbtack and this moving company and I'm more than happy with the outcome. The movers, Andrei and Gena, showed up when promised and got right to work. They used blankets to protect my furniture as well as the walls. I had a lot of heavy furniture, as well as a big treadmill they had to take apart and reassemble. Nothing got damaged or broken. Andrei and Gena worked extremely hard and worked nonstop. They were very professional. I would definitely hire this company again and would recommend them to anyone looking to hire movers. Sky movers were amazing! The movers arrived on time and had incredible work ethic! Santiago and Cesar worked incredibly fast and hard- they didn't stop once and had an efficient system going to load the truck quickly! They took their time in wrapping all of the furniture and were careful with fragile boxes and items. When we arrived at our new location they organized the boxes to ensure they went in the right room and placed all of our furniture where we wanted! We will definitely use Skymovers for any future uses and will recommend them to any friends or family! Thank you!

Tony is an angel and couldn't have done a better job at a better price. I've been waiting for a year and a half to get my things home cross country. I was really worried to trust just anyone with my treasures including my grand piano!! The reviews from others gave me confidence and I'm so glad. tony and his crew are fabulous.

I hired Pat for a move from Fontana, CA to Berkeley, CA. He was incredibly kind and professional from the very beginning. His rate was significantly lower than anyone else. About a week before my move Pat was even able to lower my rate more because he found another customer moving to the same area so he could combine the moves making it cheaper for me. Not only did Pat exceed my expectations financially but he really went above and beyond his duties! I couldn't be present for the move because I had to go out of state for job training so I had to trust him completely to pick up my belongings from Fontana and deliver it all to Berkeley without my supervision. I didn't have the apartment keys to where I was moving in Berkeley so Pat even picked up the keys for me from the rental company and made sure they were delivered to me. I arrived in Berkeley from training an entire month after the move actually took place. I entered my apartment to find my bed already set up by Pat and my boxes organized. Nothing was broken ether which is something that always seems to happen when I hire movers. I have never even met Pat in person because I had to leave for training. I was only able to correspond with him through email and phone calls. For this reason I can say he is extremely trustworthy and I trusted him with all of my belongings. If you need to move then definitely hire Pat. I have moved a lot and I have never had a better moving experience.

I have used Ben Hur 4 times in the last 5 years (Economy hit us hard) They were always on time, friendly, and hard working. I never had any breakage except a box I personally packed incorrectly . Each one of our moves the movers put everything back in the correct places and were so helpful with sticking around to make sure we were happy with everything. After so many moves and the emotional roller coaster that we went through, I knew I could always count on Ben Hur for their professional and friendly service. I highly recommend Ben Hur for anyone that needs to move.
Moving cross-country with one of us already in California while the other is in Pennsylvania has been challenging, to say the least. But scheduling our movers was so easy! They worked with us for the date/time we needed and did an excellent job. SO happy we went with this company! Cannot wait to settle into our new home together.
Last minute lifesavers! Called them night before for a morning move in Santa Monica, their reviews were sketchy but they had very low rates The girl on the phone had said they were busy the whole day but that she would try to make something for me because of my situation. She called us back an hour later and booked the move!! Was a very quick move considering I had a big house, and my last move the movers took twice as long. They give you free wardrobe boxes to use, so I just hung up all my clothes in the box and they closed it up and put it on the truck. Shoes, books, and all the small stuff they pack for you for free! They can even pack your kitchen, but you might need to ask for special boxes in advance. The guys said they have different specialty boxes in the warehouse. Our storage unit was small because of the last minute booking, but they fit it all including our huge Armoir. They had to try twice, but made it work. Dont know how but they fit our 4 bedroom home in the unit. Will definitely move with them again when we close escrow on our new home. So happy I decided to give these guys a chance, Im very confused with the other reviews because these guys were extremely efficient, courteous, ALL pricing was given up front. We had so many clothes and they came with the right amount of wardrobes, as well as all the other size boxes. The prices are very reasonable and way lower then the other quotes we got on thumbtack. Overall awesome experience, I will most definitely recommend these guys to all my friends, family and workers! Great job!!
I had an amazing experience with TLS since day one when I spoke to Valerie over the phone about our move from Dana Point, CA to Miami, FL. Everything went well and as planned with no surprises. I had like 5 extra boxes compared to my initial estimate but total was within our budget. They were very thorough with inventory, wrapping and packing our belongings into boxes. Detailed work and very fast load! We received everything and nothing was broken. The guys were wonderful with our kids and we enjoyed the pick up as much as the delivery! For our last move, my husband and I were absolutely at a loss. We didn’t know any moving company or how any of them were. So my husband decided to take advice from his friend who moves around a lot. He suggested that we go with Alpha & omega moving & storage which have a very good reputation in the market. He saved us a lot of trouble. The men sent from the company were absolute amazing. They didn't quote very low, neither too expensive. They arrived on time; their packing skills could be compared to any top-end movers. The movers made this move as stress-free as it could ever be.
I hired Cross Country Movers simply because they quoted quite low and I was short on cash. I wasn’t expecting much from them but they really astonished me. The crew of 4 men was very effective. They were experienced and highly skilled. Their packing skills were out of this world. I never imagined how professional packing could look like. Everything was taken care of by these men and we didn’t even have to lift a finger. They delivered everything in great condition and unpacked everything into the right rooms. I wasn’t expecting such a remarkable job with that price tag.
Using this company was an amazing decision! We hired them to come in and move all our things from LA all the way to Pittsburgh and they got it all done with minimal effort on our part. We thought we were going to have to do most of the logistics, figuring out routs and whatnot, but they literally planned and executed the entire thing for us, keeping us in the loop the entire time but never requiring extra effort on our parts. I hired Sanchez Moving to move my household to Las Vegas. They were professional, took care of my items from small to big with kid gloves, and helped me with storage when it ended up that my place in Vegas would not be ready to accept the delivery. At delivery they were on time, took special care in setting up and assembling all furniture and all items were intact. George and his crew worked hard at both pickup and delivery. this was my third move in 4 years two cross coast and this one local. Needless, to say the last cross country was a nightmare of a move. Hence, I was very careful this time and called quite a few companies. One gave an outrageous cost, the other one did not seem to be serious and thought a 3 men team was good for a big house and a heavy piano. Called, Rapid Moving even though it had less reviews compared to other companies and talked to Ethan. Asked for a visit to give me a quote. Madet and Anar showed up and within minutes I knew these were the guys. I still did not have a firm date but calling a few days before move was not an issue for Ethan and at my request had Anar, Madat, plus Haider and Saed showed up. They came earlier then promised and worked non stop without any chit chat and ensured that all the things were moved carefully to the truck and into my new house. They brought their own water and did not expect anything not even cold water from me. Amazing!! They brought lots of strength and mechanical engineering between them to lift heavy boxes, King size mattress and to unscrew the furniture and put it back together at the new place. They were the absolute best. What a bunch and will use them again at the drop of the hat for my next move.

Hi, I met Jason by accident. I was just in the middle of moving into my new apt and I crossed Jason in the elevetor and he kindly asked me if I needed help! Oh sure! Then, when I learned that Jason was a mover/handyman/all you wanna him to be (a little bit like a swiss knife...ask and you shall received. Jason is very courteous, on time, flexible (I had to change his work time at least 3 times the same day and he kindly managed to accomodate my request), talented and smart. Last but not least, once he is done with his work, he will clean up the place the way he found it, as if he was never there. I will definitely recommend Jason anytime to all my friends and people who are looking for an excellent, fast, reliable and detail-oriented mover/handyman. Please check him out.
I started searching for a moving company since the beginning of January. I needed to find a company that I can trust and affordable to relocate me from Southern California to Salt Lake City. I got about 10 different quotes and talked to at least 8 of them. I ended up choosing Manchester Vanlines. From the first conversation I had with Colin, the representative from Manchester Vanlines, I was pretty much sold. I didn't choose a company whom offered me the lowest cost nor having the highest insurance coverage (which would cost me a fortune). I simply picked them because Colin has taken care of me since the first conversation we had. He was very professional, friendly, and efficient. I am a super planner and super OCD! He has never made me feel unimportant or I was being annoying. I had million and one questions (seriously) and he got back to me quickly each time. He was certainly very patient with me each time we talked or communicated via emails. As the day approaching, I confirmed with my final box count and everything that will be sent through Manchester Vanlines. (Ok, here is some tips for you: 1. You must be VERY organized yourself to begin with. 2. Create as many list as you have to - reminds yourself what need to be done and what else. 3. You can't still be packing when the team show up at your front door) Tony and his team arrived within the time quoted and they were very efficient (well, of course it helped with my prepping because I wanted to be a quick and efficient pick up). Tipping is very important people! They work hard!!! I appreciate anyone whom work hard for me (even though I know I am paying the company to move me to another state). I know that there was a 2 week time frame for delivery... But after many conversations with Colin, they were able to confirm that I would get my items during the first week. So the final day came! The delivery was finally here... OH BOY! First of all, please do your homework and know about the place you are moving into... I haven't seen the apartment that I have chosen until I moved here. The driver, Marcus told me that there would be a $200 long distance carry fee... Of course I was disappointed, but I do also understand why. It was clearly stated on the contract. I ended up talking to Mike and I was glad that he ok'd for me to pay the extra on a CC. Speaking of CC. Please also do your homework. Each company expects different things... And Colin has been very cleared with me with all the details what had to happen and how I needed to pay. In the end, I received all my items in good condition and I spent all day setting up my new home! In conclusion, I could have chosen other companies. But I chose Manchester Vanlines because the amazing service that Colin has given me and I trusted him 100%. Kudos to Colin! I am a manager in retail over 16 years, I certainly understand what customer service stands for and the importance of it.
