When I came to Jan, I had damaged my voice with another coach with only 2 weeks to my next show. I was feeling really hurt and my voice had been hoarse for 6 days due to the last lesson I took. Jan gave me a warm up plan for my voice that would allow me to practice without risking further damage to my vocal cords. After following her prescription, I could feel my voice starting to respond. After 3 lessons my voice is returning to health and sounding sweeter again. I still have one more lesson before show time. I have no doubt all is and will be well for me on that stage. Yay! I'm so grateful to have found you.

Richard is an excellent teacher! My fear of hitting a high note is gone after a few lessons from him. Also, my range and tone greatly improved under his tutelage. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to take voice lessons.

Dr Stephanie is a wonderful, highly experienced teacher, who focuses on the fundamentals of voice and breathing and also individual voice style and quality. She is supportive, flexible with my difficult schedule, and always fun to work with! I would highly recommend her, especially to those looking for a more academic approach to voice lessons and those interested in classical and musical theater training.

Rena is an excellent vocal instructor. This is the first time I've taken voice lessons, and I really appreciated first learning about my instrument with excersies that broadened my vocal range and focused on proper breathing techniques. She holds a wealth of knowledge and experience on all things voice. Lastly, she is patient but knows when to push her students to achieve their potential.

I have been taking voice lessons from Donna Parsons for more than 4 months now. I had never taken voice lessons before I began with Donna, but I knew I needed a good voice coach to teach me the mechanics of singing. I had basically taught myself by imitating other singers, which had caused me to develop several bad habits through the years. It became evident that I needed to improve when I began auditioning for theater roles, and I was NO MATCH for the trained singers I was auditioning against. I was looking for someone to help improve my sound overall by teaching me how to maintain flow of lines while singing, increase breath support, increase my vocal range, and ease onto notes so my singing didn't sound forced or labored, but controlled. She has helped me do all of those things and more! From the first day she made me feel like I had the potential to be fantastic! Every week I feel like I make progress or learn something. She has an entire repertoire of teaching techniques that are creatively designed to teach all types of learning styles so that you can visualize and better understand her lessons. She is truly amazing! I would go into detail, but I don't want to give any of her secrets away. Bottom line is that you will NOT find a better, or more experienced teacher, and she is MORE THAN WORTH the price of her lessons! She really genuinely cares for each one of her students as singers and people. You don't get that kind of personal feel from most instructors. I am so glad that I found Donna!

I'm trying to find the right words to describe how great of a teacher she is but I don't think I'd do her any justice. Her knowledge, professionalism, and passion for teaching voice... it just oozes out of her. Whatever you're there for, I know Debbie will get you there.

I have been taking voice lessons from Lou Savage for a few months now he is excellent. He has a great way of referencing a movie or describing a great meal or talking about how a sailboat sails on the water, and how these references can influence singing and learning how to use one's voice in performing. I have really enjoy my time with him. Thank you for everything Lou.

I worked with Kevin for over 2 years during my time at AMDA Los Angeles, and would have worked with him for the entire 3 years that I was there if I had to option to. Kevin is an extremely knowledgable vocal coach and it was an extremely beneficial experience. In vocal lessons, sometimes the simplest concepts are the hardest only because they were communicated in a confusing way, but Kevin taught his lessons in very relatable terms and made sure I understood exactly what he meant before we moved on. He also paid attention to my strengths and weaknesses, catering to each equally. For example, he knew that I learned music very quickly and kept me motivated by giving me new songs to work on, while still focusing on my vocal weaknesses and never getting impatient if I was having difficulty. It was a true honor to work with such a patient, caring and knowledgable vocal coach, and if I ever come back to LA, I will be contacting him for more lessons. He was my voice teacher as well as my mentor during school, and I'd recommend him to anyone seeking a voice teacher.

I have been taking lessons with Jamie since the middle of November. A short time after my lessons began I could already read the sheet music. She is very organized, she printed off helpful tips and music I was interested in and put them all in a folder with page protectors. She is always ready to go when I walk in for my lesson. Also she is very patient with my many mistakes.

Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! I always wanted to take voice lessons but never had the opportunity. One day I met Zach, there was something in me that said: “trust him.” Zach helped me value my voice through proper placement, daily conditioning, and various vocal excersises. Each session he was so patient with me. In time we began writing together, leading to the release of my first single. He coached me through each verse. Bringing things out of my voice I didn’t know existed. Taking lessons with Zach was definitely a huge step in the right direction. Great teacher, mentor, and producer , attentive to detail, and externally creative. Forever grateful for him helping me to come to know the artist I am today.

I would like to share my very strong endorsement of Bonnie Kousoulakis. As a classically-trained vocalist who has studied at both Brigham Young University and in the Oregon State University music program, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different vocal instructors over the years. I can say without hesitation that none have helped me in to realize my potential as a classical vocalist more than Ms. Kousoulakis. Her understanding of vocal technique and ability to help her students achieve their fullest potential, especially for the male voice, is in my experience, unparalleled. Before I began studying with Ms. Kousoulakis about 15 months ago, I was merely a singer with potential, much of which had been untapped. I lacked confidence in myself and had not developed a strong understanding of exactly how to use my instrument to its fullest potential. However, with the assistance of Ms. Kousoulakis, I have been able to achieve a quality of singing and a belief in myself that has led me to give serious consideration to pursuing a full-time professional career for the first time since I left college more than a decade ago. My experiences as her student, combined with an understanding of her own education, professional background in opera and her passion for the art, give me great confidence in recommending her.

Songster is more than a studio, it's a family environment. Andrew and Grace really make you feel at home and help you to grow in confidence. My voice is stronger and the difference is really noticeable from when I first started to now. It's a professional and fun studio that I look forward to every week. I would highly recommend Songster Studios regardless of your singing ability, and as someone who hopes to pursue singing and song writing professionally one day I find tremendous value in Andrew's teachings and the amount of incredible opportunities you gain from the get booked package. They will take you to the next level no matter where you are at! Thank you Songster studios!

Taking lessons at Eugene’s Music Studio has been so good for my son’s love of piano. I used to hear him cautiously playing notes to simple songs, but after having lessons with Eugene I hear him confidently playing songs and quickly moving on to harder pieces! I’m so happy with the progress my son has made with Eugene.

I would say taking Charles' lessons is one of the greatest experiences to me. I am a college student but I'm not music major, I am looking for some vocal coach who is professional to help me adjust my voice to be sound and clear and also touch with the concept including music theory, head voice, chest voice etc. I am surprised at how professional Charles is. He always designs the lesson plans which is best for me, he is also patient and well organized about class materials. He gives me very kind advice and guide me step by step start from the very beginning like breath and how to pronounce. The lesson is interesting which contains various styles. I am pretty sure that he can find the best practice way for you. Charles have concert in DC areas regularly, which represents his professional skills. He is such a nice guy who is easy to get along with, if you have your specific needs, just talk to him, I'm sure he will help you in an efficient way. The rate is also reasonable. Thanks, Charles! I really learned a lot from the lessons.
