She helped us coordinate a 2+ minute dance with cute moves and taught us step by step in a way that was easy to follow and understand. My husband and I booked Emily to help us with a choreographed first dance for our wedding. We treated our private lessons as date nights and had SO MUCH fun! Walking into our first lesson, Emily immediately made us feel extremely comfortable. She is amazing at teaching dance: professional, while also being super friendly and personable. We both have two left feet, so we were honestly shocked at how excited (and not nervous) we were to perform our first dance in front of our friends and family. We ended up doing 5 lessons (1 hr each) and were able to get our 3 minute dance down pat! On the wedding day, so many of our guests loved our first dance! She's an experienced teacher--warm, friendly and unintimidating. (Did I mention that she cracks jokes? It takes the edge off, which is a godsend for a nervous beginner like me.) She helped me work out dance moves for my wedding. Now I'm taking personal rumba lessons. I also enjoy Metronome, the dance studio where she teaches, which is in an old, Italian social club in Potrero. I recommend Emily for anyone who wants to take dance lessons, from salsa to ballroom.

We CAN'T recommend Timba Heat more for pre-wedding dance lessons. My now husband and I still talk about how doing the dance lessons and picking a fun, upbeat song was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. We danced to Hooked on a Feeling and it's still one of my favorite wedding memories thanks to Hebert. Hebert not only made it fun and light for us non-dancers but he cut our music clips. He even incorporated a little lift in the dance which I never thought we could do. He also had so much patience when I did classes with my Dad, who can't keep a beat for the life of him. Our guests still talk about how fun our dance was not to mention we had so much fun practicing. I've already given his contact to all my engaged friends. Absolutely worth every penny!!

Nikolai was incredible! We decided to take dance lessons just 2 weeks before our wedding, and had a tight time frame to work within. He was able to accommodate us right away but adjusting his normal schedule, and was a pleasure to work with. We booked Nisha for a couple months worth of lessons for a surprise first dance and Bollywood remix for our wedding reception. I cannot overstate how gamechanging her classes were, not just for our wedding but for our future. I was previously the person who never participated in any kind of dance, even garba! Now I am looking up dance studios and think this is going to be a part of how we participate in future activities together. Nisha is an incredible teacher - she is patient and kind and easy to work with. But she's also demanding in the right ways and pushed us to go beyond our comfort zone to dance on another level. She taught us a traditional western style first dance segment and combined it with Bollywood fusion for our second and third segments. She even mixed the song for us in a way that impressed our DJ! Our family and friends were completely blown away by our dance routine - couldn't have asked for a better result! Seriously, these are the best dance lessons you can find - Nisha is awesome!

My wife and I worked with Angela to design our wedding dance back for our wedding in April. We did about 5 or 6 lessons I think. She took what we were looking for (something fun but not overly choreographed) and patiently introduced us to all of the moves we needed to learn. As some of us are less rhythmic, she was able to adjust the dance as we needed over time and gave us so so many tips for getting it right. She would take videos for us to review when we went home to practice, which was so helpful for me 😂 Most importantly, she made the lessons exceedingly fun for us and our wedding dance went amazingly. WOW. What a special human and teacher Hebert is. We were so incredibly lucky to find Hebert a short week before our wedding for dance lessons + choreography. What originally started as sessions for just my dad and I, quickly turned into dance lessons/choreography for my husband/mom (mother/son dance), and my husband and I because of how amazing and fun Hebert is. Patient, kind, and talented Hebert took on the challenge to choreograph a 3-song dance for my Dad and I, a routine for my husband/mom, and my husband and I...a short week before my wedding. The dances were a huge success, but most importantly, we created the most special memories in the time we were practicing. We were often in tears of laughter/joy throughout the process.
