Stephen incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality, and will push you beyond your mental (which I need most) and physical limits to get most out of the training without screaming at me. He is fully focussed on you while training and whenevwer time permits he quickly jots down my progress and motivates me with all the Instagram recordings :) he is either working out with me to demonstrate or couting my reps or recording the video for my reference. there is decent progress within a month and i am hopeful that I will achieve my target soon with help and motivation from him. I strongly recommend him to anyone for best body and mind :)

I've never seen a studio or gym this nice and well kept. It has top notch amenities(shower, towels, air conditioning in SF!) and staff. I've been training here for some time (3 months) and have seen great results, especially my balance.. Evan works with a great staff and Scott (my trainer) has designed a very effective workout program to address my right side\leg which is weaker than the left from breaking my femur. Great experience, would definitely reccomend for personal training!!!
I have had a wonderful experience training with Anthony at God's Gym! He tailors each work out to my abilities, challenges me to incrementally work harder to build strength, but does not push me beyond my abilities or risk injury. Work outs are challenging, get my heart pumping and leave me with the "good" muscle soreness for a few days. There is minimal downtime in the 30 minute sessions, thus there is no wasted time. This contrasts to my experience during training sessions at other gyms. I feel that these sessions are consistently higher yield compared to my other gym experiences. Anthony, himself, is awesome. He is kind, patient, has a great sense of humor. He is VERY encouraging. He provides nutritional guidance specific for your goals. My schedule can be quite variable, and he has consistently accommodated this so that I could make as many training sessions as possible. The entire team at God's gym is very welcoming and supportive. A great environment, and an amazing community that I am now happy to participate in! Also, I would recommend that those considering this gym should not be "turned off" by the name if they are not religious, people of faith, Christian, etc. This is a comfortable and welcoming place for ALL people to train. :)
Fast response. We got the workout plans set up within a couple days. Gerard is awesome, and he designs personal workout plans for you that best fit your training goal. He also has this fitness app that tracks your nutrition, workout and weight, which i think is very motivating and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!
I was looking for a personal trainer for my SO as a Christmas present since he was having trouble getting motivated to get back into shape. This was my first time using Thumbtack and by some stroke of luck I found Aaron – he was exactly what I/we needed! Aaron was able to train with him over the course of a few months and was very flexible with my SO's busy schedule. He also was able to meet at a public park near our flat so everything was super easy and convenient (no excuses!) My SO is diabetic so it's very important for him to look after his diet and general health and Aaron definitely helped steer him in the right direction with advice on both diet and exercise. He also pushed him the right amount in terms of physical ability. I think the best part about training with Aaron is that my SO was able to learn a lot about his problem areas (flexibility, etc.) and use those lessons outside the personal training sessions. I would definitely recommend Aaron, he's a nice but tough guy!
John is doing a great job training my 12 year old son who competes in travel baseball. My son really enjoys his sessions and his fitness is improving everyday.
John is an amazing trainer. He is professional, always on time, and perpetually energetic. Even on days where I felt worn down, he managed to get me energized. He also understood what I wanted to achieve and was very focused on my goals. By far the best trainer that I have had the opportunity to train with! I had to take a break from training due to some life events, but I will definitely train with him again as soon as I can!

At age 53, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and osteoporosis of the spine and hips. Following a successful surgery to remove my thyroid, my endocrinologist recommended that I pursue weight and resistance training in conjunction with a year-long course of daily injections to treat my osteoporosis. Since that time, I have felt so incredibly fortunate to have met Jackie Sizemore. Training with Jackie, with her expert knowledge of physiology and hands-on guidance, and experiencing the results of the comprehensive Youniquelyfit method, the T-Score for my spine went from -3.0 (osteoporosis) to 1.0 (normal bone density). I owe this dramatic improvement to my health to my bi-weekly training sessions with Jackie Sizemore in conjunction with my endocrinologist’s care. Working with Jackie is always challenging and never dreary; her positive, encouraging, and creative training sessions really make you feel good (with muscles tingling after intensive matt work!) I have worked with many personal trainers over the years, but no one has delivered excellent results as consistently as Joe. I've lost weight, while actually enjoying the workouts! It is serious training that is 100% personalized to your body and goals. His private gym is a great environment to avoid the crowds and never feel intimidated. There's really no better investment you can make in yourself-- try a few sessions, and see for yourself! You won't regret it.
James was professional and effective. He came prepared with weights, a training bar, a platform, ropes and other equipment. He was easy to communicate with and I appreciated that he checked in with me about my training goals prior to our first session. Our training was both fun and challenging. I look forward to working with him on an on-going basis!

I've been training with Felipe Ruiz of Fitness Connection for a couple of years. He makes my workouts fun, challenging and never boring. The workouts are always imaginative, oriented to bodyweight strengthening exercises rather than machines. Workouts can be indoors or out. When I go to a workout with Felipe I'm usually in for a good surprise. And I feel a lot of personal accomplishment when they're done.
Santa Cruz Core Fitness + Rehab is the place to go! From the owner, Jaimi, to the receptionist, and trainers, they are all amazing and professional. They are very knowledgeable and make you feel really comfortable and positive. They are willing to work things out for you and your goals. I am just starting my fitness journey and I've never felt this great. And I've only been in for 2 training sessions. You guys need to check them out as they are expanding locations. They are now in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. You won't regret it! Also, the workouts are AMAZING!!!
I had been toying with the idea of getting a trainer to help me get to the next level of my athletic ability. My wife set me up with Jay Queen of New Vision Fitness. My 1st, 2nd and current impression is that he is a true believer in the power of fitness and good diet to transform your ability to live life to the fullest. He is eager to help you get to that next level no matter your current fitness level. He can adapt quickly and effectively. Jay has been punctual and able to work around an adjustable schedule. His prices are quite fair and honest. (He gave me a refund when he felt that he did not need to monitor my diet! He had the money and just gave it back with no prompting. He is that honest. ) Jay is not doing this job for money. He is a trainer because he truly feels it is his mission to get people more active and healthy. If you are serious about getting more fit and active, look no further. You have found your trainer.
Kenny has played a vital role in me sustaining a healthy lifestyle. He takes the time to assess the individualized needs of each client and gives in the moment feedback to achieve optimal results. I used Christina for weekly personal training for about a year. Christina was able to craft a unique training regimen for me based on my specific goals. I learned a lot of new techniques from her that I still am able to use on my own today. Christina's sessions were intense and definitely felt like I got stronger and more fit as a result of working with her. Christina also has a great engaging personality and that made our sessions enjoyable even with the intensity of the workout.
Benjamin Lim is a treasure !! Very professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness training. Super good bargain too. Ben's technique is based on science, not the usual mumbo jumbo. My fitness level is improving dramatically thanks in large part to Ben, though I do also have other personal trainers. If you can only get one trainer, get Ben. Don't waste your time investigating other trainers. You won't find someone better, especially at that price. In case you suspect this review is unreal or biased, it isn't. I never met Ben until he started training me a couple months ago in my home.
I had Sanchez as a trainer for about two years before I moved out of town. I still make sure to see him when I travel back to town. Dude knows his stuff, is light-hearted but unrelenting, and actually gets results. Recommended for those focusing on strength training, though he might Zumba like a motherfucker; I don't know.
