When I first decided to start working out with a personal trainer, I looked online for personal trainers in Pasadena. I ultimately decided to go with Hugo based on all of the positive reviews I read of him on here. Since the reviews initially helped me make a decision on choosing Hugo as my personal trainer, I just had to leave my own review. Before committing to train with Hugo, he offered me an introductory deal so that I could experience working out with him. The first couple sessions he evaluated my strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. Once my fitness level and goals were established, Hugo set up a training program and nutritional plan for me. He begins every session by explaining and demonstrating the exercises in the circuit. He also clarifies and demonstrates the importance of proper form, which makes it really easy for me since I'm a visual learner. At any point during the exercise if I forget to use proper form, Hugo reminds me and encourages me throughout. He is very good at helping me understand which muscles each exercise is working out. I like how during every session, he is focused, patient, and motivates me to make sure I'm giving it my all. His professionalism and friendliness make it all that much more of a positive experience training with him. I've been training with Hugo for about three months now, and I can say that I'm truly happy with my results so far. My strength and endurance have greatly increased since our first session. I've noticed my body fat decrease and my muscle mass increase. I also feel much better when I'm exercising and eating healthy, it has greatly helped with my anxiety. I definitely plan on continuing to train with Hugo. I'm excited to see how my fitness level and physique continue to progress. I'm glad that I chose Hugo as my personal trainer, it is obvious that he loves what he does and cares about his clients. I definitely recommend Hugo for anyone looking for a personal trainer, you will not regret it!

I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Even when I take the skills I've learned from him to my own solo workouts, I still never sweat as much as I do when I work out with Paul. He is a great motivator.

I was a little over weight and couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble getting rid of that last little bit of fat around my stomach. I am an active guy who eats healthy and exercises regularly. I was convinced that I was doing everything right and there was nothing more I could do. I had come to the point where I told myself this was as good as I'm ever going to look and this was my body's limitation. I met with Manuk. We sat down for a consultation. He asked me about my weight training routine, my diet and my overall lifestyle, both in and out of the gym. Then we got deep. He not only wanted to know what I wanted out of fitness but also why I wanted it. I love how detail oriented he was. He seemed to genuinely care. I was a little bit caught off guard because I was just used to those trainers at big corporate gyms that all they wanted to do was sign you up for training so they can hit their monthly quota. However, I felt like Manuk was different. The consultation was unrushed. He broke down fitness in a way that really sank in for me. Finally, he mapped out a plan on how we would, "attack this obstacle." I was in and couldn't wait to start. We trained 3-4 times per week. I had a program and diet to follow and we coordinated the days to make sure we hit every muscle in my body. I had to do check-ins with him whenever I did cardio and on the days we weren't working out together to make sure I stayed on track. He would usually ask me what I ate the night before or what I was planning on eating throughout the day. Diet was a huge part of it and Manuk helped me figure out a plan that worked for me. I work long hours and I don't have the luxury of cooking every night. I loved the way my body changed. I loved how much stronger I had gotten. I loved how lean I was and most of all I loved how despite my own thoughts, I had pushed past my plateau. Manuk took my body to the next level, to say the least. Vinny has been an extremely motivating force in my life. I had always been intimidated by the gym scene and by trainers. Vinny alleviated both of these fears very quickly by instilling in me a sense of self confidence that I could absolutely meet my goals. He helped me realize the proper ways to eat and how frequently to increase my energy and metabolism. My body fat has decreased while my lean muscle mass has increased. He constantly challenges me and has made me realize that I am capable of anything, even the confidence to defend myself. Because I never thought that I could defend myself if I was ever attacked. This confidence has transferred over to many facets of my life.

Being a woman of a certain age and size, I frankly had my doubts when I met Ronnie for the first time. I couldn't imagine such a young and energetic trainer having the skills or patience to work with me. But she surprised me with her knowledge and expertise. Could not have been a better match. And her fitness class for over-60 is excellent -- and makes working out more fun! I highly recommend Ronnie as a top notch trainer!

Jim is an excellent trainer. He has great rapport, and he's very creative and inventive in coming up with ways to build muscle and core strength and stamina . So far we've met three times, and I feel 100% better already - fatigued but with a feeling of accomplishment. I actually look forward to each workout because I know Jim will help me meet my goals. What I like about Jim the best, though, is something he does after the workout. He just texts a word of encouragement or a thumbs up or a note on how I did. I've worked out with many trainers in the past, and no one has done that. It's a great way to keep this 66 year old motivated. I highly recommend him.

Sandy Freed has, with out a doubt, changed my life. I have had the pleasure of working out with her for 6 years now, and not only has my body changed, but so has my entire outlook on fitness, health and wellness. At my lowest, Sandy helped me loose a little over 30 lbs, something that I could have never done by myself. Whether it was her ongoing motivation and support or pushing me to my physical limit, I could not have done it without her. Worth every penny for sure. First, the facilities at Next Level Fitness are top notch and allow for variation in exercises. Equipment very well maintained. Lee is the type of trainer who listens to what you want to accomplish and helps you achieve that. I wanted someone to motivate me and push me and he was awesome at increasing intensity when needed while being very careful about avoiding injury. Knowing that I am a runner, Lee didn't focus as much on cardio. Instead, he tackled my weaknesses by focusing on compound movements and core exercises since I'm a beginner in strength training. In short, he is not a cookie-cutter trainer. The warm up and stretch routines he taught me have been very helpful in maintaining healthy and happy joints (specially since I run frequently). Furthermore, he helped learn how to continue training on my own beyond our sessions, unlike other trainers who just want your money. I feel prepared to hit the gym on my own for a while, but I will definitely be coming back to Lee. He is very flexible with his time and will go out of his way to accommodate you. Always on time, always prepared, very organized, and overall a pleasant person to be around.

LK Fitness has been a life changing experience for me. 2 years ago I started with LK Fitness and I'm healthier than I have ever been! At 51 this is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Kelly helped me get into shape right before I became pregnant. She helped me focus on a work-out plan that fit well with my goals and what I wanted to achieve. She also customized a monthly meal plan exclusively for me and my interests. I couldn't be more happy with her dedication to push me when I needed the drill sergeant trainer, but also balance it out and be supportive when I was not feeling well or sick and needed to take things slow. Another plus factor with Kelly is that she LOVES dogs. We incorporated workouts that helped me focus on myself, without feeling guilty or losing out on time I could spend with my dog outdoors. Kelly is super professional, educated and experienced in personal training. I would recommend her to any of my closest family and friends.

I'm a pain management physician that has been a client of Sean's for 6 months and he has helped me over come multiple aches and pains that I've been dealing with after years of heavy lifting. First of all, its great to see Mami going independent. I am her former client, I moved to Chicago a while back, but hey, this girl really changed my body type from being obese to being in shape. I still do most of the work out that she has taught me and as she has done many sports such as gymnastics, martial arts, and dance, she taught me all the hard yet great conditioning that no trainers have never taught me. She is awesome, sweet, and super bad ass, yet she is hardcore some point because she wants to see her clients successfully reaching their goals. Thank you for asking me to review you, girl, and you know I got your back, and I know you will do awesome. I can see her completely successful doing on her own.

I have to say, I have been trained by different fitness instructors for several years and Eric Bowling is truly one of the most thorough, knowledgeable and caring trainers I have ever met. From beginning to end of my sessions, he is constantly watching and guiding to make sure my form is perfect. He always gives the reason behind doing what he is asking me to do, the muscle groups that are being used and is pretty much a genius with proper nutrition and supplementation. I have to tell you, I had my doubts as he is the youngest trainer I have ever hired. I am glad I set those doubts aside because he truly is so passionate about what he does, keeps the workouts fresh, pushes me to go beyond what I think I can do and really takes the best interest of the client in mind. He wants everyone to be successful with their goals. During the summer I wasn't able to get to the gym for a while because I was opening a new location for my business. He called me and asked me where I had been. That meant the world to me because at the time he wasn't even training me so it wasn't as if he had to call me because I had missed a session, he called me because he was concerned. I had known him the least amount of time of any of the trainers I had previously worked with at my gym and he was the first one that had ever done that. I won't ever forget that! Carolyn is not the run of the mill trainer! She is a different kind of personal trainer who actually cares about her clients. She evaluated me as a whole person: personality, habits, diet and mental state. In one week I felt results because she understands my body type and ability.
