Kenshaka gave me acting lessons via video chat which is already a difficult task, but he was a great guide and mentor regardless of those obstacles. He is also very flexible and willing to be available for help outside of the scheduled lesson times. Excellent teacher and I would recommend him to others!
Hired her for acting lessons, great to work with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend, looking forward to our future lessons!
We highly recommend Lois For tutoring. She is well known in Honolulu and has years of experience. She tutored our granddaughter when she needed to take the entrance exams into private schools. Lois has great knowledge of children and skill in getting them to do their work. Her lessons were challenging and fun. Our grandaughter could hardly wait to return to her next session. We wish Lois was here to tutor our grandaughter in her college SATS. Carol Lehman
Joanne is a very intuitive coach. As a beginner adult, I was nervous and unsure of my abilities. Joanne took the time to assess my skill level and created a curriculum and acting exercises tailored to fit me! I've learned it's okay to be nervous, it's okay to let go and have fun. I am actually having fun taking Skype lessons and I am learning how to be authentic and real. Joanne keeps in touch between lessons to send me articles to read that will help me as well as answering questions. I couldn't be happier with my choice to hire Joanne. I'm very grateful.
During the time of operation of Let The Kids Grow Los Angeles, California 2013-2014. I had the privilege of working with and managing Mrs. Tracy Pfau, she was our head Acting instructor. She had the tasks and duties of working with underprivileged children of the community to help them stay off the streets and into the classrooms. She was able to work with children that possessed some knowledge of acting to complete beginners. She was professional and always uplifting to the children and respected them in a professional and caring manner as if they were her own. She not only taught them the basics fundamentals of acting but she showed them the professionalism and seriousness of the business surrounding a acting career. The ages of the children ranged from 4-17. As this was a after school program she would always be ready with a lesson plan and would not mind helping after hours if needed. I have learned that to be a great instructor you need to first have a great heart and a seriousness to the profession, and Mrs. Pfau is the total package as she is a great instructor and a great mentor and even after the program finished she was still willing to work with the children on a personal basis to really help these children accomplish their goals in the acting profession. I would be more than happy to recommend Mrs. Pfau in any future projects as I do not recommend people unless I really believe in them.
Bonnie is a fantastic teacher! She works with you to find what techniques and exercises best help your voice grow. I have also been particularly encouraged by her attentiveness and personalization of her lessons. She is constantly helping me to release tensions that inhibit my vocal growth and I am very comfortable with her. I am still continuing my lessons with Bonnie and having a great time!
I can't even put into words how amazing a teacher Sean is. The best way to explain it is to tell about my recent experience in a student film and the results I see from his coaching. It's easy to say you are learning from someone but a completely different thing to be able to put those skills into practice and see the results. So many of the things I accomplished that day on set would not have been possible without the skills Sean taught me. Before “action” on one scene, I caught myself questioning my character's actions and motives and heard Sean's voice in my head reminding me to not judge the character. This bit of remembered wisdom reminded me to focus on empathizing with and being the character rather than judging her. It helped me to become the character rather than just myself portraying the character. There were multiple shots in this film where I had to cry, something I was extremely nervous about and had never been able to do on camera before. But I did as Sean taught me, and the tears came naturally. Without Sean's coaching, my emotions and the tears would not have felt or looked authentic. Sean's acting lessons have helped me immensely, and I am so thankful for everything I have learned from him. I would recommend Sean as a teacher for anyone who is serious about being an actor.
Working with Mary is always a positive experience for me. I've been acting for many years but I learned so much from Mary about how to develop my character and how to make the audience see and feel what I'm trying to say, not only with my words, but with my actions. This has helped me allot in several roles I've had since working with her. Thanks Mary!! You've made me a better and more confident actor!
David Rountree from LA Acting Studios is the best teacher in Los Angeles-- hands down! I am amazed of his knowledge and the experience he shares from his time so far in the Industry. I love learning from him! He is definitely not to be missed if you're serious about Acting or would just like to raise your confidence level. He has a way of connecting to you that is very heartfelt and sincere.
The kind of work Braden does can be incredibly personal and demands vulnerability. Some teachers don’t respect how hard, scary and new that can be. Constantly thrown around in acting is the concept of “breaking” students. Braden’s method is nothing like that. He is deeply respectful, open and interested. He will listen and encourage you relentlessly and nothing has made me more willing to be vulnerable.
Working with Sandy has been wonderful. His many years of helping people speak better give him the ability to quickly focus on speaking issues and their resolution. I enthusiastically recommend him for his professionalism, responsiveness and punctuality.
I have been coming to Tracy for training for over 10 years. Beginning as a child in her acting classes, to being a teen in audition koaching and her summer intensives, to being an adult and using her career consultation and private acting services. Tracy Martin is such an asset to any actor's team!!
My daughter learned a lot about acting skills such as improvisation, scene study, monologue and TV/Film/Commercial skills
Suzanna is a top of the line voice teacher. She explains and demonstrates clearly and always made sure that I improved by leaps and bounds at each lesson.

Acting for film and TV is a practical application of the techniques students will learn in these acting classes. Our film and TV class explores the various forms of the medium technically and artistically: script analysis, the rehearsal process, scaling the character's levels of expressiveness, and revealing the inner life in close-up. Every week, every student will learn to break down a scene, actor attack it, apply our lesson directly by putting it down on camera, watching it back, and if time permits, doing it again with new actor choices you will learn. This class is perfect for every actor who really needs to hone the skills he already has, builds audition rhythm, and releases nerves in a positive way. Scenes will be provided from current television and films auditioning that current week.
My ability to adapt to each student is the cornerstone of my practice. I treat each lesson as a new experience, and each student as an individual. I design warm ups and pick material that will help the individual to grow. I teach in a warm and caring way, that pays attention to the whole person.

There are many wonderful teachers out there. I think the biggest difference between what I offer and what others offer is that my focus is on the Actor becoming a better Actor. Rather than simply doing scene work I prefer to focus on the Actor's Instrument, tuning it to be more focused, in touch and sensitive. Watching you grow as an artist.
I help pros and amateurs reach their best voice-over, acting and singing potential!
