Jasper did a great job with installing floating shelves in our kitchen and living room. They look like they were intentionally built into the house and fit snugly against the walls and fireplace.

Scorpion Services provided me and my family with an amazing Trex deck. The upper deck covers a large portion of our lower deck which has made this winter season enjoyable outside. I definitely recommend Scorpion Services to anyone who is remodeling/building a deck or add on to their home.

We hired Lifetime Remodeling in the summer of 2017 to do a first floor addition to our home in Millbrae. The project involved adding 400 square feet to our house, which included expanding the living room and adding a new bedroom and a new bathroom. It was wonderful working with Sam and his team at every step of the way. Their bid was very competitive compared to the many others I got, and the estimated time for completion (about four months) was much shorter than most of the other quotes. Lifetime's responsive customer service and attention to detail made our lives so much easier. Here are just a few examples of things they did to minimize our stress. When strong winds blew the construction fence over during off hours, they came out here quickly to get it back up and weigh it down with sandbags. When it came time to block off the parts of the house being demolished, they helped us move furniture and cover it carefully so that it would not get damaged or dirty during construction. When they needed to move the wiring for our internet access, they made sure to reconnect it promptly. The temporary wall they built was very sturdy and effective at blocking out dust, so we had no problem continuing to live in the house throughout the construction. Sam also closely inspected all the work and often caught adjustments to be made that I did not notice. For example, even though the interior painting looked fine to me, Sam decided that he wanted another coat. When we did point out other things that needed adjusting, such as leveling out certain fixtures, the team promptly fixed them. When I asked for a different design for our recessed lighting at the last minute, even after some of them had already been installed, Sam accommodated the request. Sam checked in with me often, so I always felt well informed about the next steps coming up and what I needed to plan for. This was awesome because I learned that it can be agonizing to pick out tiles, hardwood, hardware, etc. for a project like this, especially for someone like me doing it for the first time. It was also helpful to have Sam's recommendations for suppliers for the finishes and fixtures. We were really impressed that Lifetime finished the project pretty much right on schedule and with absolutely no cost overruns. To make this happen, most days, Lifetime had a team of two to four workers here by 8 a.m., and they worked steadily for the entire day. They also often worked on weekends. After Lifetime finished the addition to the house, we ended up also hiring them to do landscaping for our front yard and replacing our concrete driveway with paver stones. They also did a great job on this, and we are so happy with and amazed by how our house looks now. Remodeling inevitably involves many hard decisions and a lot of time, energy, and money invested by the homeowner! The last thing you need is a contractor who adds unnecessary stress, yet it seemed like everyone I talked to had horror stories about their contractors. We are so grateful that Sam and Lifetime made it a wonderful experience for us.

We met with several contractors and we chose Shaz because he was very knowledgeable and had great solutions to our concern for our home. Shaz told us straight that his estimate may not be the lowest or the highest, but it was apparent that he is very knowledgeable and particular about quality of his work. Shaz went above and beyond to make sure everything is done correctly and to our satisfaction. We are very satisfied with Shaz impeccable work, and excellent quality. We appreciate his professionalism, discipline, and awesome communication. Every impression we have about Shaz Construction is a Good One! We highly recommend this company.

Super responsive during intense storm and active leak situation. Tackled our building's water intrusion problem on the first visit ! (This has been an issue for 2 years with multiple waterproofing contractors not able to determine root cause).

Feifei helped us remodel and decorate our new home in California. Her team was very patient in selecting from flooring to wall finishes, to furniture and artworks that are of good quality and within our budget. I was overseas and cannot be onsite, but she and her team looked after purchasing and installing without us having to worry too much and her team did magic to the spaces. Without question we would definitely work with her again in any future new homes.

We hired Zephyr Arch to get the architectural plans and city permits done for our home (room addition project) They were very prompt in answering all of our questions and took into account our suggestions while coming up with the design. They also took care of the structural engineering requirement for our room addition project and got us the permits from city of Sunnyvale promptly. Paul was great to work with, from the beginning until the end of our project he was very accommodating. We had a large fence installation project that required IPE wood. Paul was very helpful in the ordering of materials and explained in depth every aspect of the job from start to finish. His communication with myself and wife was great and we were always kept up to date with the working schedule. Very punctual with an incredible attention to detail and the finished product was exceptional. We were super happy with his work and will be hiring him in future to take care of other construction projects at our home. I would highly recommend Paul for any fence installation project.

I had Jeff do our plans for a new Tattoo shop in an existing building, we had to meet and navigate several ADA requirements with the City of Santa Rosa planning and building department. Jeff was very knowledgeable, competent dealing with the city for us. He is a very Personable Architect who was never too busy to to answer questions for myself, my contractor or my city of santa rosa planning technician. I would recommend Jeff and would not hesitate to use his service again, mo Bernal, Avenue Tattoo, and Anchor Rose Tattoo

I hired CFI Construction to frame a new 501 sq ft building on our property to be used as a sewing studio. Today, they started and finished framing the walls, and enclosing the entire building with shear panels. Next week, when the trusses arrive, they are going to install them and install roof shearing. I learned of CFI two days ago on Thumbtack. Having observed their work today, I feel like the A team just fell out of the sky into my project. They are phenomenal in every respect. Their work, honesty, and work ethic are models for the construction industry. They have years of experience framing large projects, both residential and commercial. I was humbled that they chose to work on my project. They are not solely a framing company. They can build a building from start to finish, I just happened to hire them for framing. Having enjoyed today's experience, I'm going to use them for more phases of our project. Both the owner of the company (Steve) and one of his sons (Drew) were on site the entire day, as well as their crew of 5 framers. I wanted to write this review now, even though they still have trusses to install and the front porch to frame, because I want other users of Thumbtack to have the same benefit of a 1st class, licensed, professional construction company, as I did today. I strongly recommend that you seek out CFI Construction for your projects. They are the real deal. Thank you Steve and Drew.

I hired Esther's firm for a tenant improvement project consisting of a new restaurant and a cafe next door. They designed a hip and functional interior, an attractive exterior with outdoor seating, and was involved in all the details including the design of millwork, furniture, signage, lighting, and finishes. They coordinated and led multiple engineers and the equipment supplier on the project. They had no issues with getting approval from the Health, Planning, and Building Depts. They are efficient, creative, and responsive. I would hire them again for my next project. - Chef/Restaurant Co-owner, East Bay

We hired Rob for a seismic retrofit for the EBB rebate. He was really easy to work with and always very friendly. He delivered exactly what was asked for on schedule and within the agreed budget. His pricing was also very competitive. We are very satisfied with the results and currently working with him on getting a quote for a fence project.
