I was going it alone to train to run half marathons, and though I saw results on my own with an average half marathon time of 2hr 17min, I struggled with debilitating shin splints throughout my first two years of running due to over training. I consulted Gabriel DeVine of DeVine Physiques, and he was able to provide me with a mountain of advice regarding my recurring injury. I took his advice to heart, applied it religiously and saw immense improvement immediately. With my injuries eased, I was able to go from being a decent runner to completing half marathons in under two hours (a long term goal that had been consistently roadblocked due to the shin splints) and came in 2nd place at a 5k event with a time of just 23:38 - an improvement of over 5 minutes compared with before I consulted Gabriel just a few months before. Whether you are interested in losing weight, gaining muscle, or training for marathons, Gabriel DeVine is an excellent resource. He is highly knowledgeable and professional and takes great joy in his clients' success. If you're on the fence about which personal trainer to choose, definitely go with DeVine Physiques. It's been a while since we had personal trainers, so there was a bit of a 'gulp' factor when taking the plunge once again. We never looked back - Sandy is awesome! Not only is she prompt and professional, but she makes working out really fun! She is open to suggestions, keeps every session fresh with a wide variety of exercises and adapts to your physical limitations. And...she also travels to your home, which is a major convenience factor. Tammy single handedly changed my life. When I first met Tammy I was 24 and 245lbs, at 5"9 I was technically obese for my size. Ignorant on how to eat healthy and exercise regularly Tammy took me under her wing and help me lose 57 lbs. Tammy is very loving and compassionate person, she genuinely cares about you as a person and the goals you set for yourself in regards to health, fitness and weight loss. I thought a personal trainer was suppose to mean, yell at you, make you not want to go to the gym and work out. Tammy is the complete opposite, I looked forward to our training sessions, it was like therapy for me any stress or frustration I had I got to take it out on my workout while talking to Tammy. However, if Tammy saw that I might be holding back or slacking she would make sure I was good and sore the next day by pushing me harder and yelling in my face lol. Sadly I moved away from the Southbay area and I am no longer able to train with Tammy like I use to, but not a week goes by where I don't text her my menu for the week of food im going to eat and how I plan on exercising. Even from miles away she helps me stay on track, I can still hear her in my ear, don't eat that! Run faster! lol. She may have started off as my personal trainer but she quickly became a very good friend.

Trenton is simply one of the most motivating personal trainers around! He is extremely professional, courteous and attentive. I've had trainers who tell you to do an exercise then go off and talk to someone or use their phone. Not Trenton! If he's not on his hands doing an exercise next to you, he's right next to you motivating you! Moreover, he does innovative and challenging workout that keep you and your body guessing! You get the most out of every minute you workout with him, every session! Vili truly took his time figuring out what would work best for me. I wasn't just blasted with random exercises after his careful evaluation I was provided with a catered routine that targeted exactly what I wanted to work on, and what Vili thought would be the best exercises to keep me healthy and fit. He listened to me, and was extremely intelligent in explaining what exercises I was doing, and why he was having me do them. I was as comfortable exercising with him as I have been exercising by myself for a number of years. I haven't found any faults in the way Vili works.
