I found Griffith very knowledgeable and approachable. He listened carefully as I laid out my musical background and my goals for taking voice lessons as was able to immediately take my learning down the best path for what I needed. Very good teacher!

When I came to Jan, I had damaged my voice with another coach with only 2 weeks to my next show. I was feeling really hurt and my voice had been hoarse for 6 days due to the last lesson I took. Jan gave me a warm up plan for my voice that would allow me to practice without risking further damage to my vocal cords. After following her prescription, I could feel my voice starting to respond. After 3 lessons my voice is returning to health and sounding sweeter again. I still have one more lesson before show time. I have no doubt all is and will be well for me on that stage. Yay! I'm so grateful to have found you.

I'm a songwriter that wanted to learn how to sing my own music. I've attempted to sing off and on for many years, but never really felt confident in my abilities. In as few as four weeks Richard not only made me more confident, but he has also greatly improved my voice. The reaction of my band-mates at the first rehearsal after several voice lessons was proof enough! Richard is great and he is a pleasure to work with.

I started lessons with Stephanie back in March and she has been a great teacher! I've already felt myself improving my breath control and intonation (she has perfect pitch!). She is patient, kind, and flexible. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher to anyone interested in taking voice lessons!

I graduated with a degree in theatre and have always wanted to sing. I've toured with my dad and have taken voice lessons with many teachers over the years. Rickie Gole is the teacher I have been looking for my whole life. When I first tried her class all I knew about her was that her students (who I went to school with) were always getting cast and hired. They had beautiful voices and I wanted so badly to sing like them. Since taking lessons with her for about a month now I have discovered something else. I am finding a new voice that is completely mine. I leave her classes more confident, happier, and freer. My biggest obstacle so far is trying not to get emotional because my voice is shocking me. It's how I've always wanted to sing and never believed I could. I completely don't recognize it. Her genuinely warm and encouraging presence makes me unafraid to make mistakes and try new things and because of that I'm singing like I never have in my life. Thank you Rickie.

I have been taking lessons with Jamie since the middle of November. A short time after my lessons began I could already read the sheet music. She is very organized, she printed off helpful tips and music I was interested in and put them all in a folder with page protectors. She is always ready to go when I walk in for my lesson. Also she is very patient with my many mistakes.

Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! Zach has taught our daughter for 2 years. She has learned more than we can every imagine in this period of time. Not only has she become a more skilled guitar player and vocalist, she has come to love songwriting. Even more important, Zach has coached our daughter through several important events and encouraged her as she stretched herself by musically and personally. By example, he has helped transform her from a simple guitar student taking weekly lessons to a musician eager to do more, try more and stretch beyond what she thought we limits. Even more important to us, Zach has help nurture a self-confidence that can only come from learning from a vibrant, enthusiastic, talented coach and artist. He has forever impacted our daughter's life and will be a part of her story for years to come.

Bennett has an extraordinary ability to zero in on his student's skills and musical affinities... He has a nerdy, highly precise knowledge of the instrument, of guitar technique and of music history... Months ago I would barely sing with anyone else in the room, and didn't know how to play guitar. This morning I played guitar and harmonized with Bennett on a Stones song. Take music lessons with Bennett - only good can come of it.

Spending every Thursday evening taking music lessons with Leah was one of the best parts of my childhood. I began taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and continued to take them until I graduated high school. Growing up, I learned so much from Leah about music theory, playing techniques, and life in general. Leah is one of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take music lessons. She's supportive, creative, and constantly smiling. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!

Felice is absolutely amazing! I have always been hesitant about the idea of taking voice lessons because of how nervous I get when having to sing in front of others. Felice has been able to calm my nerves and boost my confidence in my singing abilities. Plus she is very patient with me and puts up with all my quirkiness! :) I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I have attended classes by Sam for both dance and workouts. She is energetic, fun, engaging and enthusiastic with lessons. She genuinely enjoys what she is doing and teaching it to others. She works with you to answer any questions and find ways to make work-arounds if needed. I highly recommend her classes.

Danielle is amazing!!!... The only thing more amazing than her voice, and her teaching is her passion for muisc, the arts and life in general. Teaching is so many things... Having a degree form an amazing school and being trained by some of the best is clearly a benefit, but being a good listener and compassionate and intuitive. Those things can't always be taught. That's just who she is. Start singing with her NOW! She's awesome!!!....

About

I am extremely passionate about music and helping others enjoy it as much as I do. I have had several years in the performing industry in churches, theatre stages, and the Grammy award-winning Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I have spent the last 4 years teaching at the university level where I had a studio of 25 students each semester, as well as conducting the premier vocal jazz ensemble. I teach a classical technique, but teach all musical styles. I am currently the Director of Worship At United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks.

Fully soundproofed up to -50dB, the VOT trailer is outfitted with digital sound recording, processing, and transmission technology, including Pro Tools, Telos Xstream ISDN, and top-of-the-line microphones. "The difficulty of scheduling dialog pickups inspired the creation of Voice Over There", explains Soleimani. "I wanted to find a convenient, cost-conscious way of accommodating talent in and around Southern California, whether they are at home, on set, or on location. With the VOT trailer, recording sound bytes and making them immediately accessible to post and production companies worldwide, has become a highly-efficient, one-stop process." In addition to high-profile network shows like "Bones" and "Parenthood," Voice Over There has completed over 150 ADR sessions on location for primetime series "Law and Order," "United States of Tara," "Men of a Certain Age," "Lie to me," "Leverage," "The Closer," "Big Love," "Zeke and Luther", and "My Boys."

About

I teach music to students of all ages in a studio environment or in-home using personal techniques and skills as well as those learned at university from my favorite professors. My degree is in Music Education (with voice as my primary instrument), and I specialize in teaching voice, piano, and music theory (though I cover history, composition, and foreign languages and IPA for advanced and/or interested parties). When I'm not teaching, I write and record my own music, compose for films, shoot films, and sing lead vocals and play lead keys for my duo, Breezy and the Wick. Music is what I love, and I share that passion through teaching its secrets to whomever cares to know them. My ultimate goal is to teach you what you need to know to teach yourself.
