Esther B. says, "Quality, efficiency, reliability, and communication are what I look for in a contractor. I care a lot about value and I have very high expectations for the outcome. And boy did DMB come through! Not only that, but surprisingly, they exceeded my expectations across the board and even put together my daughter's doll house birthday present to help me out! I originally met Dan to quote me on my backyard reno. I did not go with DMB for the yard and frankly that's my only regret at this point... Dan came to the house to walk through the scope of work and was incredibly helpful in terms of what to expect, how to prepare, and what I needed to do to pull everything together so they could be most effective in execution of my vision for my new home. For this first round, we did a partial kitchen, fireplace, secondary bathroom (jack & jill style) upstairs and last minute added on the powder room downstairs as well. I was quoted 3-5 weeks for the project and even with the extra work, the job was done in 5 weeks, just after Thanksgiving! Everyone I know that has construction work done complains about delays and the timeline more than anything else. I was very proud to say the timeline was definitely met and did not sacrifice quality in the least! Were there a few material delays? You bet! And some of those were 100% my fault anyway. While DMB does not offer design services, they are knowledgeable enough about design to make solid recommendations or connect you with local (free) design services along the way. The phrase above and beyond comes to mind thinking of DMB Builders. I am so immensely happy with the outcome and cannot wait to do the master bath next! DMB Builders has me as a customer and referral for life!"See more

Nancy S. says, "We hired Barak for our kitchen and bathroom remodel, including a beautiful microcement finish in the shower, and we couldn’t be happier with the result!. He and his team were professional, detail oriented, and clearly take pride in their work. The quality of the craftsmanship really stands out, and everything turned out even better than we had hoped. We would gladly recommend Barak to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality remodeling work and will definitely call him again for future projects."See more

Ted Mutwiri says, "We hired American Pro for a full home makeover. Kitchen, bathrooms, and a few other updates; and Im honestly so glad we did. The bathroom looks like something out of a magazine now, and the upgrades throughout the house made such a huge difference. They were organized, professional, and really listened to what we wanted. The whole place feels refreshed and more functional. Highly recommend their team if you're planning a remodel."See more

Kay T. says, "I came across Value Crafters via Thumbtacks quote generator. They were responsive from the start. I was originally only looking to get my house painted, but through the course of our consultation I mentioned redoing my front yard.Doron was honest and practical about the ideas I gave. He incorporated my idea and executed it beyond my expectations.Through the demolition to completion he had quick communication. If there is something you dont like he will make the changes and not pressure you into his ideas. I ended up getting a full front yard remodel, upgraded garage door, exterior paint with some wood removal and stucco application. The cost of my project was on the higher side, but you get his design skills, patience, understanding, project alterations, and openness. My interactions with him mirrored the energy of a good friend.. Very easy to talk to.When you choose Value Crafters know they work fast! Which is a good thing just have your project cost already set aside to meet the payment schedule.I would work with them again."See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
