Although I have been very physically active in my life, I never realized the level of detail that I was missing in my workouts. Initially I did not think that I needed a trainer, but O.J. helped me see the light in our first before sunrise session. This is JUST what I needed and have been missing. Let's get it Mr. Juice!
When I first decided to start working out with a personal trainer, I looked online for personal trainers in Pasadena. I ultimately decided to go with Hugo based on all of the positive reviews I read of him on here. Since the reviews initially helped me make a decision on choosing Hugo as my personal trainer, I just had to leave my own review. Before committing to train with Hugo, he offered me an introductory deal so that I could experience working out with him. The first couple sessions he evaluated my strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. Once my fitness level and goals were established, Hugo set up a training program and nutritional plan for me. He begins every session by explaining and demonstrating the exercises in the circuit. He also clarifies and demonstrates the importance of proper form, which makes it really easy for me since I'm a visual learner. At any point during the exercise if I forget to use proper form, Hugo reminds me and encourages me throughout. He is very good at helping me understand which muscles each exercise is working out. I like how during every session, he is focused, patient, and motivates me to make sure I'm giving it my all. His professionalism and friendliness make it all that much more of a positive experience training with him. I've been training with Hugo for about three months now, and I can say that I'm truly happy with my results so far. My strength and endurance have greatly increased since our first session. I've noticed my body fat decrease and my muscle mass increase. I also feel much better when I'm exercising and eating healthy, it has greatly helped with my anxiety. I definitely plan on continuing to train with Hugo. I'm excited to see how my fitness level and physique continue to progress. I'm glad that I chose Hugo as my personal trainer, it is obvious that he loves what he does and cares about his clients. I definitely recommend Hugo for anyone looking for a personal trainer, you will not regret it!
Paul is an extremely professional, friendly and helpful trainer! He is experienced and knows what he is doing. He gives out meal plans and excercises that is suitable for my level. I have been training with him for three months now, results are obvious and satisfying! I am really happy with Paul and would recommend him with no doubts!
I sought out the services of a personal trainer a little over a month ago and came across DeVine Physiques through some brief searching online. I finally decided it was time to invest into my health, and I wanted to make sure whoever I decided to employ was someone I could trust to guide me into much better health. Believe me, I'm quite a bit of work for a trainer, so he/she has to really convince me they know what they're doing. The reviews seemed promising -- promising enough to make me reach out. I was offered a free consultation right off the bat, which I gladly accepted. The day of the consultation, I walked into a private office/gym space to meet with quite a professional, jovial guy named Gabriel. I found the consultation to be very effective in informing me what DeVine Physiques is all about and what to expect should I choose to engage further. Needing some time to think about it, I thanked Gabriel and went home that night to mull it over. It did not take me very long to realize Gabriel is a very capable personal trainer who is more than happy to be flexible with his clients' needs and schedule, and you get the bonus of a nutritionist should you choose to take advantage of his knowledge in this field as well (recommended). I came in with the goal of wanting to lose a lot of weight and work towards a body I will finally be proud of, and Gabriel assured me he has the knowledge and abilities to help me get there if I am willing to embark on the long journey. With that said, I of course decided to go with DeVine Physiques and have been getting trained by Gabriel for just over a month as of this writing. Though it has not been a lot of time at this point, I am already very pleased with this decision. Gabriel has been a pleasure to work with, and the results I have already gotten are very promising. I've lost just under 10 pounds in the past month simply by following the diet and - of course - coming to the training sessions Gabriel has specifically set up for me. Though I have quite a bit of work ahead of me to lose this weight, I am feeling much more confident about that ever-intensifying light at the end of the tunnel because of DeVine Physiques. Now, I look forward to continuing on this journey to better health through the guidance of DeVine Physiques. To weight loss!
So many times I have tried to lose the weight that I gained over the last 10 years. I wanted to feel that confidence again when I looked at my body in the mirror. I have tried many diets, gym memberships, DVDs and other trainers. I crossed paths with Meghan through my daughter and it was one of the best things that could have happen to me. I was at a low point with feeling that I was never go to lose the weight and would probably never get back the confidence. Meghan was my trainer for 4 months and in that time I found someone that not only knows whats she is talking about but each and every time I trained with her she was not only my motivational support in my physical growth but emotional as well. She helped me look in the mirror and not see all the imperfection but all the wonderful accomplishments I was making with my strength and cardio training! Meghan loves what she does and it shows in the way she lives and in the way she lets you know she is invest in YOU, it not just a job to her. She will walk you through a grocery store and teach you what to look for, she will text or email you recipes, she will educate you on workouts and she will teach you about the importance of a healthier you rather than a thinner you, that will come with just learning to be healthy. My knowledge on exercise and food has come so far and I have been working on my own using the tools she taught me to continue toward my overall goal. This time I know I will reach them and the game changer was her.
Amazing experience! Very professional. Starts off with a sit down consultation listening to your goals and concerns and customizes workouts and has exquisite one on one training sessions. Also gives homework (workout routines) the days you aren't training. Shares info on nutrition and is always checking in on you to see how things are going. His knowledge is very high, and he truly cares for his clients. I feel so much better and healthier, also very excited to workout, because it's customized for my goals and its because of Gil.
Run, don't walk, to Derek Carter! What an amazing trainer. He has a degree in Kinesiology and knows his stuff. He knows strength training, yoga, stretching, aerobics, diet, acupressure. He also has a charming personality, is always on time and is priced fairly. He's GREAT!
I've been working out with Judy for the last 7 years and she is UNBELIEVABLE. She caters to my every need and always gives me a great work out. Any time I want to put muscle on or cut up, she knows just what to do. I would highly suggest training with her. Her work outs are personal and she knows just what she is doing!

during the first session we tested my strength and he really walked me through everything we were doing and why we were doing it. he listened to what i wanted to change and then showed me workouts that would achieve my goals. i cant wait to really start training with him

Kelly helped me get into shape right before I became pregnant. She helped me focus on a work-out plan that fit well with my goals and what I wanted to achieve. She also customized a monthly meal plan exclusively for me and my interests. I couldn't be more happy with her dedication to push me when I needed the drill sergeant trainer, but also balance it out and be supportive when I was not feeling well or sick and needed to take things slow. Another plus factor with Kelly is that she LOVES dogs. We incorporated workouts that helped me focus on myself, without feeling guilty or losing out on time I could spend with my dog outdoors. Kelly is super professional, educated and experienced in personal training. I would recommend her to any of my closest family and friends.
Jim is great to work with as he personalizes the work out routine to fit both ability and key areas of focus for the client. During the training sessions he encourages me and challenges me to do more in order to optimize our time together.

Sherwin is a very positive,caring,friendly and patient person . I’ve been training with Sherwin for sometime and with his help I regained my balance and strength which I lost due to two hip replacements. Sherwin has definitely helped me to walk again and I am very grateful to have met him. I highly recommend him.
Cy is everything you'd want in a personal trainer. I interviewed a dozen before I chose him. He's very aware and knowledgeable of body scuplting and weight loss. Cy is probably the best trainer youll find in the Hollywood area. He really gets to know you and customizes his approach to get you to reach your goals. Im very happy training with him.
