Before finding Ms. Lynn, I honestly felt defeated. I was doing everything I could, but it still felt like I wasn’t giving my girls what they truly needed. I had tried a tutor before, and the experience left me even more discouraged. When I read about how Ms. Lynn approaches teaching: having students write, choosing one skill at a time to focus on, and keeping an ongoing vocabulary list—I finally felt a sense of hope. I loved that she tailors each lesson to what the student needs most. Fast forward about 20 lessons, and Ms. Lynn has been wonderful for both of my girls, ages 6 and 10.
