I'm loving my lessons with Kathryn at Sollohub. She's very patient, finding different ways to explain when I don't quite know how to implement her feedback and recording exercises so that I can practice at home.
Melody made herself available on short notice to help my daughter get ready for a musical audition. She is very encouraging, building confidence about what my daughter does well while pointing out areas to improve without being negative. She is, of course, technically knowledgable, so we trust her instruction. We plan to continue with voice lessons no matter how the audition goes. Melody is everything we hoped to find in a vocal coach.
As an adult intermediate level student, Jerimiah Owens approached me with grace, respect and an appreciation for who I was as a musician. He quickly assessed my abilities and had no pre-conceived ideas about how it should be . He tailored his approach to me, not a method, and was more than eager to engage me immediately in technique and musicality. I left each lesson feeling a sense of accomplishment and an eagerness to continue to improve my piano playing. He is personable, friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and punctual. Of course he is a top-notch professional musician in his own right, and knows how to communicate and share his knowledge and exceptional skills with ease and comfort. I was happy and honored to have worked with him, and ended my lessons only because of life changes that precluded us continuing. I recommend Jerimiah highly to anyone-beginner to advanced, youth to adult learner—he is a good communicator, teacher, and a good man.
Mary has done a great job with teaching me how to play guitar! I'm a beginner and she has taught me all of the basics and music theory. She's also provided books for me to take home and practice, which has been extremely helpful. Definitely recommend Mary for anyone wanting to learn guitar from a more technical side.
My daughter loves working with Brooke! This is our first experience with voice lessons, and we are really happy!
I only took 2 classes with Draven but I can already say that I'm very happy with his teaching. He is kind, patient, knowledgable, receptive and clear, with a flexible schedule. He knows how to adapt to meet individual needs. I like that he breaks down vocal concepts in a practical way and we apply them to songs I choose right away. I believe this approach is more fun and more efficient. But we also practice singing exercises when necessary and to warm up His little home studio is well equiped for voice lessons and recording. I'm definitely looking forward to learning more with him and improving my singing ! I would totally recommend trying a class with him.
Karen is more than a good teacher, she is a great human being who genuinely cares about her students and their progress. Over the last year being her student, I have dramatically improved my singing technique and have become inspired to take singing more seriously. Karen has helped me break the old bad singing habits and replace them with better ones as well as provide me with effective mindsets which I use consistently. I recommend Karen to any person looking to improve their voice, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced singer
If you are seeking guitar lessons take this into account: You're going to learn the chords and strum patterns regardless of who teaches you. The trick is finding someone who is passionate about music and teaching it to others. Outstanding is not a word I sling around haphazardly, but Dave has earned it. Dave is very passionate about his music, is a very talented musician and he sincerely enjoys passing along his knowledge to others. If you chose Dave as your instructor, you will not be disappointed in any way. His price is a great value.
Jordan came over to our home to provide our eager 7 year old with piano lessons. The lesson went well and we look forward to having Jordan provide in home piano lessons going forward! Jordan is patient and knowledgable which are key when teaching.
Before having lessons with Leandro I loved singing, but I had a hard time with high notes and with keeping my voice stable. It also felt like singing was really tiring. I hardly ever had a sound I actually liked and that was comfortable and easy to recreate. After my first few lessons my voice already felt much more stable, and I learned several exercises that helped me a lot. After every lesson I felt a big difference in the way I handled my voice; singing was way easier and much more pleasant! I think that the time I spent working on my voice with Leandro was crucial to being able to reach my goals and to feel like it is possible to get incredible results with technique and knowledge of your instrument! A lot of the things that I apply today to both singing and speaking I learned with Leandro.
Dr. Kesikli is an exceptionally talented musician who has a unique gift for communicating his craft with aspiring artists, I'm always amazed how he consistently distills complicated musical ideas into relatable terms that are immediately applicable to the task at hand. He's great at nurturing the individual's budding voice while encouraging their personal creativity, passing on the established techniques of composition with a keen eye for authentic expression. In my studies with him I've learned many new methods and have already felt a strong improvement in my writing, I have nothing but the highest recommendation for prospective students.
I sing on a regular basis for work, but was looking to take my voice to the next level. I am only 2 lessons in with Meghan, but she has already shown me how to do things with my voice that I didn't know I could do. She has just been wonderful. I am SO happy that I found her!
Gudrun has been amazing! When my daughter first started voice lessons, her breathing and diaphram work was severely lacking. Since working with Gudrun, she now has a 4-octave range and is in all the top choirs at school. Additionally, her piano, chord progression and sight-reading skills have come a long way!
Patrice is a wonderful voice instructor. She uses tools such as scales and tongue twisters to help warm up the voice and teach students to listen to the sound quality of their voice and helps them to improve the quality so they can more effectively reach out to the audience. She is very knowledgeable in all different types of music and is always willing to try something a little different. She has a great background in music and she has actively lived a vocal life as a singer around the world which makes her expertise invaluable. We have seen great improvements in our daughters voice and performance skills since she started with Patrice in February. We noticed immediate change in vocal quality and now we see greater confidence and a willingness to reach further into the musical world and try pieces that would have previously been beyond her ability or willingness to try. We have been with two voice instructors previously and Patrice out shines them all.
I am taking voice lessons with Jenna and I couldn't be happier! She is a very knowledgeable, professional and supportive teacher. I felt a major improvement after my very first lesson! I highly recommend her!!
As a professionally trained musician myself, (though not in voice), I sincerely appreciate CarolJoy's respect for my own musicianship, along with her uncanny ability to continually challenge my vocal training, while maintaining an encouraging environment in our lessons. CarolJoy Evans radiates true JOY in her teaching, and she obviously cares for every single one of her students. My having this opportunity to work with CarolJoy is indeed both a genuine blessing and a JOY, for which I am truly grateful!
Our family LOVES the music lessons provided by Miss Lyza! Our kids ask for more constantly. While her musical knowledge and proficiency is at an incredibly high level, the best part for us is her dedication to providing what is just right for each child and helping them to develop their own interests and talents. She aligns each lesson specifically to the child, incorporating elements of performance, rhythm, dance, culture, instruments, and voice. She has done lessons for each of our three children and no two lessons are ever the same. She is exceptionally encouraging while maintaining high standards for growth of the child. I strongly recommend her for use with private or group lessons.
My daughter has been taking lessons at Littleton School of Music for almost three years, mainly piano, but some guitar and some voice, and she has become a pretty good player. More than that, she loves music and playing and singing, and that will last her a lifetime. I love that her lessons are tailored to her musical interests and goals, and can be adjusted as those shift. A few months ago I started taking guitar lessons there myself, and I'm so happy I did. My lesson is one of the highlights of my week. The staff at the school are engaging and professional and enthusiastic. The school offers opportunities to perform for students who are so inclined. The summer band camp is an amazing experience. I just can't say enough great things about this wonderful place, and the people who work there!
The teachers teach to your style. I have grown so much in my vocal singing and I feel comfortable singing in front of people! I love Flourish and would recommend it as a great beginner and expert lessons.
We offer voice lessons and vocal performance classes and the Ecstatic Choir. Michele Jennings is our voice teacher and performance coach. Michele has been teaching for more than 10 years and loves encouraging her students to express themselves through blues, R&B, jazz, folk, pop, funk, country, rock 'n roll, and more. Michele has a unique ability to identify and bring out the latent talents of new and inexperienced singers and gives them the confidence they need to express themselves in a style that is supportive as well as challenging. She is keenly aware that there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach and tailors her teaching methods to the needs of each student. She brings a caring and professional attitude to her leadership that fosters an assurance from which her students immediately benefit. She records portions of private voice lessons to mp3 or audio CD format for the students to use at home. Michele has directed Boulder's Ecstatic Choir for eight years. This is a community non-traditional choir, where all are welcome to join with no experience necessary. She has created and led vocal empowerment workshops for business leaders through the Boulder Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program and directed the singing program for children's Boulder Conservatory Summer Camp. She also enjoys mentoring teenage students in solo or group vocal technique and harmonies. Michele teaches vocal performance classes as well, where students learn to sing on stage into a microphone, direct a live band, and to connect with their audience. Classes focus on learning to do the following: - Honestly and authentically communicate yourself through your song's message - Confidently lead and communicate with the band, using language they understand - Understand and apply music theory and song structure - When under pressure, find your true presence - Use vocal technique effectively - Rehearse and use performance technique and stage presence to find power "I hold the radical assumption that if a person can talk, that person can learn to sing with ease, power and full control. Learning to sing in this way filters over into other aspects of our lives, and I find that students become more effective communicators and more confident individuals" - Michele Styles taught include jazz, pop, blues, rock, R&B, funk, motown, soul, oldies, disco, country, folk, and children's.
