Nicole was outstanding! She helped our son raise his composite ACT score from a 20 to a 27 in only 7 weeks! As a senior, this was our son's last chance to raise his ACT score. Prior to the April test, we had enrolled him in 16 weeks of group classes; His math score only increased 1 point and reading increased 2. In less than half the time and for about half the money, Nicole helped AJ increase math by 7, reading and science by 8, and English by 5. She tailored the lessons to AJ's background and learning style. Her approachable manner and disarming personality immediately put AJ at ease -making it easier for him to learn. Nicole made herself available to answer questions at ALL times, day or night, which was unbelievably helpful! She is extraordinarily knowledgeable about both the ACT and new SAT. Regarding the entire college application process, she is a wealth of information and advice! We were so lucky that she was able to fit AJ into her packed schedule, and we will be forever grateful for everything she did for him and us!
Arbor Tutors has the best program out there to prepare yourself for the MCAT. I'm very impressed with the quality and the education of the tutors. It's like everyone here has an Ivy League education.
Minnie was very responsive and helped us get the best tutor within the time constraints we presented to her. We are very happy with the service Peak Performance provided for SAT prep.
Don and I worked together in The Mayan School for about 4 years. During this time I was able to see how passionate and dedicated he was to teaching. He went beyond his duties to ensure an excellent education for his students. Being bilingual gives him the advantage to help spanish native speakers in learning English.
Maria is definitely one of the best teachers I have ever had! When I first met Maria, I told her what my requirements were & she customizes the class just for you. She makes learning so much fun. I'm always looking forward to every single class. Maria is kind, patient, and takes such a personal interest in your development, understands your ability to learn & pushes you in such a positive fashion. I truly admire her as a person. Choosing Maria to be my Spanish teacher was one of the best decisions I made and I highly recommend trying her class.
Marc is an amazing tutor. I hired Marc to tutor my learning disabled daughter to prepare for an entrance exam at a local technical college in Denver. My daughter struggles both socially and academically. Marc was able to bridge both gaps for a very successful experience. Marc was always punctual and reliable and has the creativity and flexibility to work well in a very challenging situation. I give Marc two thumbs up and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent tutorial experience.

I appreciate Ann as an online tutor. Ann is a certified Reading Interventionist with a big heart for helping kids succeed in the area of reading. I met Ann through a group I created called The Ultimate Support Group for Online Tutors. She is always willing to help others, be of service, speak at conferences, and share her knowledge. I have had the opportunity to watch Ann teach lessons to kids through videos she has submitted to me, and I was impressed with how well she connected with her students and how effective she was as a tutor. You would have to be crazy not to hire Ann.
How can I describe my experience learning under under Dr. Heger? There is something quite vulnerable about studying language. Teaching it requires tact, authority, understanding and more than anything experience. She possesses all of these qualities. Her method if choice is effective and comprehensive. This was an expectation of mine. What exceeded my expectations were the literary references and recommendations, and the anecdotal explanations of finer linguistic and cultural points. She has an advanced understanding of European history, particularly as it applies to the formation of modern language. I'm proud to recommend her to any serious student.
We had a great notary experience. Easy to work with. I'm so happy to have him as a resource.
Mrs. Judy is truly amazing!!! I'm more than pleased with her.. Beautiful inside and out and very knowledgeable with standardized state requirements.
She was very flexible and helpful.
I have an elementary education degree with an ESL endorsement. I spent time tutoring children all throughout my college career, and this is what I am passionate about. I enjoy working with students one-on-one and building a relationship with them as well!
Convenient tutoring is available for K-8 in reading, writing, grammar, and spelling. I will meet you at a library or coffee shop, or I could even do lessons in home. I am a college graduate (BFA), with an average GPA of 3.4. I love reading and writing, and I understand the huge difference these skills make on overall student performance. Let me help your students through fun, one-on-one lessons. Let me help them with their essays and language arts homework. I have evening and weekend availability.
Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am an experienced babysitter and tutor, with over ten years of experience in both. I have tutored kids from ages 6 through 16 in most main elementary school subjects, and I have three years of experience as a middle school summer school math teacher for grades 6, 7, and 8. Additionally, I am experienced in child care and also provide babysitting services. I have worked at an elementary school teaching summer school for multiple summers, volunteered at preschools and day cares, and volunteered as a camp counselor at a camp for children between the ages of 4 and 12. The experience that taught me the most about caring for children was helping to raise my sister, who was born when I was 15 years old. Finally, I volunteered at a hospital and cared for/comforted newborn babies during college. I am fairly flexible with days and hours, especially during the summer months. I have different rates depending on each situation, so please send me some details about what you are looking for and I can send you a quote! I am more than willing to drive to you, but depending on how far, that may also change the rate. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm simply honest, educated, and looking for jobs on the side to coexist with my current work schedule. I'm clean as clean comes. Don't drink, smoke, use drugs, or put any thing into or onto my body that I wasn't born with.
I am getting my master's degree in education and have an undergraduate degree in biology. I would love to work hard to improve your child's grades while helping pay for my degree.
I offer reading, writing, and test prep tutoring services to all ages. After graduating with honors from Lesley University with an M.Ed. in English Education, I worked for three years as an English teacher. During this time, I taught English 8, English 10, English 12, AP Language & Composition, Creative Writing, and SAT Reading & Writing. I also taught after school and weekend SAT Prep sessions. I am a licensed educator for English 8-12 in both Massachusetts and Texas. I also hold a supplementary license in special needs education in Texas. Additionally, I have experience working with both special needs students and English language learners. I left teaching when my husband's job moved us to Colorado and we decided to have a baby. I've been working as a freelance writer and editor for over a year. However, I miss working with students and am looking to expand my services into tutoring.
Simply put, I am a higher caliber tutor than others. I am a high-performance student myself, having graduated in the top 10% of my class with numerous awards and scholarships. I mastered math, science, economics, and the humanities with A grades in all. Now I'm a law student, which separates me from the typical tutor you find on Craigslist-- a kid one year older than your student who likes to do calculus. I consider myself a professional who will help your student reach their goal in a systematic way.
I am a retired teacher that does part time tutoring of Math and English language arts. I have a broad range of experience, including special needs.
I am a college student currently attending the University of Denver. I am majoring in psychology and communications with a minor in Spanish, and I run and coordinate a volunteer tutoring program at my school. I have experience tutoring children in all academic subjects, from ages 5-13, and I can tutor older students in beginning and intermediate Spanish in reading, grammar, writing, and conversational speaking. Since I am not a licensed tutor, I am very affordable and willing to work with varying financial situations. Most of all, I am very patient, caring, and efficient!
