Fantastic workmanship, reasonably priced and they work hard to make it the best job possible. I work in property management and the job they did on both of my homes is the best job I have seen out of any carpet cleaning company I have ever worked with. They are amazing.

There is no replacement for true steam cleaning, they did a great job and were very knowledgeable as well. Much better than the gimmicky dry clean carpet cleaners.

I hired Drake to tear out and haul away 2 rooms of carpet with pad. He provided a very fair price, arrived on time and did the work very efficiently. He also followed up as promised with a very reasonable bid to replace some bad subfloor panels. Drake is a very reliable young man doing things right, somewhat of a rarity these days. Can't recommend him highly enough!

Justin came from Berthud, not FTC. But he called while on his way to advise us that he would be on time. His machine is different, not a standard carpet shampooer. This one extracts almost all of the water, leaving the clean carpet damp, but not soaked. It dried in a hour. A thorough job, done by a conscientious and pleasant young man. We will call him, again.

Wise Choice did an amazing job cleaning my carpet. The family dog is pretty old and she had a UTI. Which lead to her having a number of accidents in the house. But the wise choice system got all stains and odor out of the carpet. I don’t think I’d ever use another carpet cleaning company. I highly recommend them.

Very impressed with the service I recieved. I had a very dirty and stained carpet and I called them for a cleaning. They came the same day and had my carpet looking brand new and took out stains that I thought wouldn't come out. So now they will be coming on a monthly basis for my carpet.

Showed up on time, friendly service, very reasonable prices, carpet was wet and took some time to dry, but kinda expected that. Hair and fiber piles left in spots, so had to vacuum again after wards. Surprised he didn't elevate furniture legs on small blocks as other carpet cleaners have done to protect furniture feet and better access to carpet. Over all good for the price. Just looking to get the carpet cleaned after a long winter inside with dogs.

Terrific carpet cleaning company! We had the whole house cleaned. They got several stains out that previous companies did not. They also stretched and repaired the carpet where it had cat scratch damage on the edge. Best value for the money!

I have an old Van from the 1990s and I get the carpets cleaned once a year. This time I called Lo.Co Carpet Cleaning. I couldn't believe the quality of the work. They took out stains that must have been 20 years old that other carpet cleaners had left behind. These folks are thorough and take the extra mile to make sure the job is done right. I would definitely recommend them. Johnny Ray

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How much does it cost to clean a carpet?

Carpet cleaning costs vary depending on the type of cleaning, such as steam cleaning, and whether there are any stains that require special treatment. The main cost factors are the square footage of the carpet and the material it’s made from. The national average carpet cleaning price ranges from $100 to $130 for a typical suburban home, but steam cleaning prices start at an average of $120. In general, professional carpet cleaning ranges from an average of 20 cents to 50 cents per square foot, depending on where you live. Many companies have a minimum fee or room requirement — such as two rooms for an average of $40 each — and will charge more to clean carpeted stairs or a second floor. Finally, the carpet fiber type, density and pile will also affect the cost of cleaning; man-made fibers are stain-resistant and easier to clean, while wool carpeting is sensitive to water and requires more care.

    What does carpet cleaning cost?

National average carpet cleaning prices range between $100 and $130. Carpet cleaning prices depend on how many square feet of carpet you want cleaned, how many rooms in one house or building will be cleaned, how stained your carpet is, how much the carpet cleaning company charges, your ZIP code, and the type of carpet you have. Cost per square foot can range from 20 cents to $1 or more, based on the above variables. Synthetic carpets are typically the least expensive to clean; natural fibers like wool cost more, as they require more care and attention, as well as more drying time. Excessive stains, challenging locations such as stairs, and accessibility also factor into your carpet cleaning price. Companies may charge a minimum service fee for cleaning a small carpet to cover their business expenses (paying employees, transporting the special equipment to your home). If your pet has repeatedly saturated the carpet with urine or if the fibers are extremely matted down, it may make more sense to completely replace your carpet than to continue to have it cleaned.
