I took piano lessons from Gary for years and his program is fantastic. I learned to play the piano through songs that I loved, which made me want to continue with lessons as a kid. I am in college now and I still play the piano. Also, his rockonamerica program was a wonderful experience. I got to play rock music in a band with other kids my age. It was way cooler than any piano recital. I would definitely recommend taking music lessons with Gary; his lessons were a lot of fun and years later I still retain what I learned.

Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.

We switched to Laura in May for piano lessons after 3 years with another teacher. We are very happy with her teaching approach. She makes it fun for my 2 daughters (10 & 8) and yet they are learning a lot. I noticed that my girls practice more during the week and looks forward to their weekly lesson with Laura. She comes to our house too which is very convenient.

Put simply, you will learn everything you want/need to learn about piano with Dan Fogel. Dan is the one of the most knowledgable, compassionate, dedicated educators I've ever met, and I find myself impressed over and over again with how he and his students continue to grow and evolve. Dan is truly at the cutting edge of music education and really knows how to deal with each student as an individual in order to help them reach and exceed their goals - at any level. You are in the best of hands studying with Dan Fogel.

Our 12 year old started piano lessons just over 2 years ago with a local music store. Although he progressed quickly and had a very good rapport with his instructor, we felt it may be time to step it up as far as his lessons were concerned. We wanted a "second opinion" of sorts to make sure he was on the right path. I saw a post from Facebook for a free introductory lesson with Sara at Chatalbash Lessons and thought we should give it a try. We are so glad we did....Sara had some very good feedback on things that our son could be doing differently, or in a way that would ensure his continuing progress as he learned, and at the same time, ensuring that he was learning properly and mastering each phase of his playing abilities - All while HAVING FUN. Deficiencies in his technique were corrected, and he is an all around better pianist on this date .... all in just over 2 months. My son has one word he wants to use to describe Sara - "Passionate". He is very happy and excited to go to lessons every week. He is motivated, AND he is having fun. We highly recommend Sara and Chatalbash lessons.

Maria is the most thorough, pleasant, and knowledgeable private music teacher I've ever taken lessons from. I leave each piano lesson with a more comprehensive understanding of notes, of rhythms, of musicality, but most importantly, of myself.

Nicole helped my daughters, who are 8 and 13, learn how to play the violin and cello respectively. She gave my girls private lessons out of our home for an hr 2-3 times a week. Nicole is very patient, effective in her teaching methods, and is very knowledgeable in both the cello and violin. I remember one time both my daughter had a recital coming up and she stayed an extra 2hrs longer to help them, and I didn't ask her to! She wanted them to do well and was more than happy to stay. Nicole was always 10 minutes early to our home and I would refer anyone wanting to learn the violin, cello, or beginner piano lessons to Nicole. Couldn't have asked for anyone better! Parent's, employers, and prospective learners, you will not be disappointed with Nicole! Sincerely, One proud and happy mother! Thanks Nicole

I am writing this review as a Colleague. While I have not taken lessons with Candice I know as a seasoned Professional Musician and Teacher myself what makes excellence: and excellence is what Candice's Music Studio offers. Candice is Passionate, Crafted at her Art, and an Excellent Leader and Team Player. It takes a lot more than a Degree in Music to be a great Teacher. You have to have Talent,Heart as well as intellect, instinct and: a desire to constantly be expanding your own horizons while lifting those up around you. Candice has those things in spades. Professionally, I refer Students and Professionals to Voice Studios all the time especially in NY. I would not hesitate to send my own Students to Candice's Music Studio. I've been playing guitar for fifty years or so, but I always wanted to learn how to read music better, and play piano, like my father used to do. When I inherited my father's piano, I decided to take lessons with Roxanne Lee's Piano Studio. It's been rewarding and fun. As an adult/beginner piano student, Roxanne's lessons are helping me explore the piano keyboard in an enjoyable, easy-going, low-pressure way, using familiar songs and melodies to gain the skills needed to get a good grasp of this wonderful instrument. I heartily recommend Roxanne as a piano teacher, regardless of your age.

Guitar Hangar is a full-service music store, with a wide selection of instruments from beginner to high-end instruments at competitive prices. More importantly, they focus on service after the sale -- including repairs, maintenance, accessories and perhaps most importantly for new and intermediate musicians, lessons. Rick has been my go-to guy for more than 10 years, and I give him and Guitar Hangar my highest recommendation.

Helene was my piano teacher from kindergarten through high school. She taught me how to read, understand, play and love music. Furthermore, my early -and in-depth- start with piano prepared me for years of trumpet in various advanced bands. Although I am not currently taking lessons, I still sit down to play piano whenever I get the chance. I'll play anything from Bach to Beethoven to Josh Groban to new and classic Disney - really anything I'm in the mood for. Helene's teaching has made me proficient enough in piano and music in general such that I can truly enjoy playing. Thanks Helene!!
