Gloria has been such a great tutor. She has truly been a blessing! Gloria created lessons based on my needs, tailoring each class around what I wanted out of the class. She's patient, encouraging and pleasant to learn from. We formed a nice bond and I always look forward to our lessons. I began with no Spanish skills and in just a few months I feel like an intermediate. All I have is rave reviews and highly recommend her as a Spanish tutor!!

Sara is the best Spanish teacher you could ask for. I took only 17 lessons with Sara before spending over a month in Peru and I can tell you she is absolutely spectacular. I came into these lessons with no prior knowledge of Spanish and with only 17 lessons I am able to carry out intermediate conversations with native speakers. She provides you with more than enough material to understand both conversational and grammatical rules of Spanish. DO NOT CHEAT YOURSELF HIRE THE BEST. Also the prices she charge is far cheaper than the quality of education you will receive.

After years of procrastinating, I finally started taking Spanish lessons. Beatrice has made the process both stress free and enjoyable. She develops lesson plans to provide the needed basics, but can adjust faster or slower based on my ability to absorb the information. Beatrice is both friendly and patient and she is thoroughly knowledgeable in the Spanish language.

Had a great first meeting with Humberto where he explained the way he teaches and how our classes would proceed. It's a very interactional approach that incorporates things in the student's life. I'm very much looking forward to learning Spanish with his help.

Roberto is an excellent teacher! He is patient and starts off as slow or fast as your individual needs may require. Roberto made the lessons fun and engaging with a lot of conversation, which is what I needed most from my Spanish lessons. In a short amount of time I was able to speak quite a bit of Spanish, enough to even communicate with locals in South America while I was on vacation. I would highly recommend Roberto if you are someone looking to learn or improve your Spanish while having a lot of fun and spending that time with a very cool guy.

Mari is an overall fabulous young woman, very personable yet professional. There is no doubt that she loves to teach and she is excellent at it. I am 66 years old and just now started to learn Spanish. I tried another teacher before Mari and it just did not feel right and got me nowhere. From the first lesson on I was impressed with Mari's skill to quickly comprehend my needs and how to teach me best and find the right pace for me, while being challenging. I have no doubt that she finds the right approach for any age level. She very thoughtfully maps out charts and quizzes after a lesson and sends them to me for review and practice, yet without any pressure. I could not have chosen a better and more talented teacher. She is simply THE BEST!

Romina was very outstanding. She was patient to my daughter who was having trouble in her Spanish class. She went slow and easy, and her instructions were easy for my daughter to understand. She gave my daughter very good tips, and I suggest Romina for many.

10/20/15 I wanted to write a review about Cross Cultural Communications in regard to my Spanish lessons. I had tried to learn Spanish in Berlitz in Princeton, NJ years ago, and the program of learning grammar and memorizing words did not resonate with my learning ability. I wanted to learn the language of Spanish but also the culture. At Cross Cultural Communications I got a native speaking teacher that made the language learning more interesting combined with cultural knowledge. I learned and retained much more using this method and it keeps me coming back to learn more and more. The Westwood, NJ location is convenient for me and the pricing of the classes are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this center for Spanish language lessons combined with cultural learning. I highly recommend Ana for her professionalism and expertise in Spanish instruction. Having studied Spanish many years ago and in an academic setting, I needed a teacher to help me make my conversation more natural. Ana would listen very carefully and teach me how a native speaker would express my somewhat stilted expressions more idiomatically. Ana deep knowledge of Spanish was a wonderful resource for me when I wanted to understand the subtleties and nuances of advanced grammatical concepts. She is especially proficient in teaching Spanish for business and commercial purposes. I highly recommend her.

About

From an early age, my parents stimulated my foreign language interest with Spanish language learning records and a French dictionary. Then in high school I took as many foreign language courses as possible in order to initiate my knowledge of Latin, Spanish, and French. My best foreign language learning experience in college was 2 years of residence in a French dorm, La Maison Francaise, where French became my second language. Then Spanish became my third language after my summer in Barcelona. When I graduated, I taught both languages in Pennsylvania public schools and received my permanent certification in both subjects. Since then I have also studied Italian, Modern Greek, Danish, and German. As a foreign language student now, I know the fear of responding incorrectly to a teacher's/tutor's questions, and in my tutoring I strive for an open atmosphere in which students feel free to ask questions to increase their comprehension and enjoyment of speaking, reading, writing and listening to Spanish or French.

Spanish tutor. Friendly, patient, well prepared, and supplied new books and learning materials that were more than adequate. Most importantly, Damaris was flexible in setting up appointments and shows up on time.

About

I make learning a language fun through various activities such as singing, acting out and immerse in the culture right here in the U.S. I enjoy teaching culture as well as the language in addition since I myself am from Peru. What also makes me stand out is that my student will take a pre and post assessment to ensure their time with me has been effective, as well as keep the student accountable for their learning.
