Andy worked with our schedule to find a time that worked for us. We needed 8 pictures hung and he hung them all expertly and professionally. He even had a laser level so four pieces being hung side by side were all perfectly level with each other. Some of the art we had didn't have wires but he was kind enough to wire them for us. Everything looks great and Andy was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
Michael Keith provided excellent handyman service for five separate tasks over two visits for a total of 7 hours. This did not include his personal time researching how to install a grab bar on a one piece bathtub fronted acrylic and fiberglass wall. He ordered the kit required to fit onto the grab bar in order to attach it to the stud behind the wall. His initiative was impressive and deeply appreciated. He hung several pictures, all of which required the use of a ladder and precise measuring. He also figured out that a kitchen island stool needed tightening of loose screws. Finally, in a matter of minutes, he installed two shelves in a closet armoire. Throughout, Michael worked in a calm and knowledgeable manner, explaining what he was doing. His hourly price was reasonable and of value. I was very pleased with the work he did and highly recommend him to Thumbtack clients. I would use his services again in the future. Theresa Ware
Beautiful job on new floor in bathroom, plus painting. I have more jobs do them this Spring.
Brian and team were great - sliding door was installed in a potentially tricky opening that needed additional framing. They left the protect sealed up and in great shape - very happy with everything!
Nick was very professional and completed the job within a week. He came out, took pictures, and the job was done in a couple of days. I even asked if he could redo the walls surrounding the bilco doors and that was no problem. I would hire Nick again!
Handyman Humphries is hard working, smart-working [!], reliable, and responsible. My front door frame was rotted through and he replaced the whole thing, painted it and left it looking like new. :)
I highly recommend John! He did an amazing job patching a giant hole in our drywall and painting. High quality work and very efficient. He came over and started the job only a few hours after getting in contact on thumbtack. The price was very fair and he did a great job.
Tess was fantastic. She hung several pictures for us. She was prompt and plrasant. We will definitely call her again.
Jimmy did an excellent job rough plumbing, fire stopping, framing and installing a sump pump. He was punctual and conscientious in his work. What I liked about him was the feedback and advice he gave us. Excellent work for reasonable price. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family. -Nanda
Brendan and his crew did an outstanding job framing basement walls and the did so with a reasonable price. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you!
Duane removed two doors then framed and installed a new window. Duane was very helpful with our window purchase and other items needed to complete the job. He did a great job and the price was right. We will use Duane for future projects.

I specialize drywall and framing. I can also do other jobs that is need to be done inside and out of the house.
Bartley repaired a heavily rotted and water-damaged subfloor in the bathroom of my first house. He kept me updated twice day with picture messages and was incredibly clear during the entire process. As a first time homeowner Bartley is the kind of contractor I'm looking forward to working with for a long time.
I had to have a pipe replaced, my tub caulked, a couple of light switched replaced, and he fixed my storm door and tighten up my sink in the bathroom. Winston was very professional and reasonable. I would recommend him for your household repairs and I will use him again.
We requested Think Outside of the Toolbox to complete a few tasks around the house that we've been meaning to do for quite some time. This included installation of a baby gate at the top of the stairs, hanging of some frames, removal of sliding door blinds, install one floating shelf, and one whiteboard. Since a lot of items needed to be hung and placed properly, I wanted to hire a team that would be as detail oriented as possible. The first handy lady that came out to our place was very, very sweet and pleasant to talk to during her work. Her work looked like it was done very well, and for the most part, we had no issues. We ended up encountering a few challenges with the installation of two items, but as soon as I notified Cindy, she ensured that the projects were carried through and that we got what we paid for. Cindy sent out another handy lady who had to come on two occasions to work on the job (we ended up having to purchase another gate and be creative as to where we would put it), but I found her to be VERY impressive. The installation of the baby gate did not end up being as easy as it may have seemed - it required a lot of creativity and appropriately enough, thinking outside of the toolbox. Though I didn't imagine that our tasks would have taken this long, I am pleased with the work that this team pulled together. Despite the challenges, our very handy lady figured it all out and did a wonderful job. She ensured that the gate was SAFE (#1 priority) and practical. Cindy's management and communication was also VERY impressive. I was so appreciative of the great customer service she carried through. I would definitely hire Think Outside of the Toolbox again - their willingness to work through difficult tasks was so evident in the quality of their final product - we are really so thankful!
