MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN SEEING THIS VOCAL COACH FOR A MONTH NOW AND IT'S AMAZING HOW MUCH SHE'S LEARNED MRS ALMA DOES AMAZING WORK AND MOST OF ALL SHE LOVES KIDS AND TEACHING VOCAL LESSONS.
My son has been taking piano lessons with Rachel for more than a year and loves every part of his experience! Rachel has such an amazing rapport and patience with him -- which has truly elevated his confidence in learning music. He even has requested to receive voice lessons as well. Such a pleasure to listen to him play and sing! I HIGHLY recommend Rachel every chance I get!!
We're really happy with my son's vocal coach, Joanna. Scheduling was easy, pricing was good (thank you for the discounts and coupons!), Joanna is super friendly and great at what she does, and we will definitely continue with lessons! :)
Tim is a musical technician, gifted in his ability to both play and instruct others. Hilarious personality, great instructor to get private lessons from.
St. Augustine Music Center is awesome! It's more than just piano lessons...Jesse Cruce is trained in teaching many different instruments and he lets the children pick which instrument they want to practice on during their lessons. My 5 year old son loves going to Jesse's music studio every week! He has learned piano, drums, organ and violin! I highly recommend St. Augustine Music Center if your are interested in teaching your child about the world of music! You will be amazed at how well your child will learn to love music and play many different instruments. Jesse is such knowledgeable and patient instructor...perfect for teaching kids!
You will not find a better value for your music lesson dollar. Tim Collins is not only an exceptionally gifted musician and instructor, he is also an all around great guy. You will learn more than you imagine and have a great time in the process. Highly recommend!
My 13 year old began voice lessons with Stephen to prepare for an audition to Douglas Anderson. He offered a consultation to get to know her and then they were off and running! He worked with her on several aspects of the audition process and really helped to bring her voice forth! Consequently, she received the call and has accepted her seat at DA!! Thank you, thank you Steve!
I have taken three lessons so far and they have been very personable which makes it easy and fun to learn. The staff is always courteous and professional.
My daughter decided she wanted to learn guitar at the age of 14. From the first lesson, Bob has been clear, concise, encouraging, motivating and serious about my daughter’s progress on the guitar. Over the past few months, Bob has also expanded into voice lessons with my daughter. Bob displays a strong passion for guitar playing and teaching and his in-depth understanding of the subject comes across in his lessons. Bob’s lessons are very well thought out. My daughter has been taking lessons with Bob for almost two years. I can look back and see that each lesson has clearly built on the last, and nearly every week I am amazed at the things that she can play and how easy it has been by taking incremental steps to improve. Bob also does a great job of curtailing the lessons to artists that my daughter listens to and enjoys. This definitely keeps her interest and motivation. Bob pays very close attention to every little thing she does to make sure she is doing things the right way. He is especially attuned to technical issues to prevent roadblocks along the way which can lead to plateaus and frustration. Bob's clear gift for teaching and his amazing talent on the guitar are a wonderful combination for a guitar teacher. I would highly recommend anyone who is serious about improving on guitar both technically and harmonically to schedule lessons with Bob. I’m also looking forward to seeing how far my daughter will advance in voice!
Julie is very involved with me in my sessions. I've learned multiple techniques with my voice in just a few lessons. She's passionate about her students and builds a strong relationship that enables comfortability and a relaxed environment so she can challenge her students with ease. And i have more fun learning with her then I have with other vocal coaches! One could definitely see thaf this is her strength.
Jeff is an extraordinary teacher and is very good with kids. My daughter is 9 years old and started lessons about 2 months ago and she is enjoying the lessons thoroughly. Jeff reviews theory everyday using flash cards and his teaching style is to make the kid an independent learner. He gives practice home work for the week and asks my daughter to circle the notes which she had the most difficulty to play. He then focusses on those notes during the lesson. Overall Jeff is best teacher my daughter had over years.
Very easy to set up through thumbtack. Mr.Vaughan is great with the kids and although we've only had a couple of practices we are pleased so far.
Tim Collins was my instructor as a teenager and used his unique way of teaching to help enable me to express myself through music. Ultimately, the things Tim taught me about musical theory have taken me on the road with my band and have allowed me to share the stage with some very successful bands. More than anything, he was able to give me the ability to bring my thoughts and feelings to life through rhythm and melody. Very grateful to have had Tim as a mentor.
When I began taking lessons from Rebecca Minor I was just hoping to get better at singing, but thankfully for me she was a visionary who saw beyond my limited goals and has helped me harness more of my potential than I thought was possible. Rebecca doesn't implement a one-size-fits-all coaching regimen; she clearly identified my strengths and weaknesses as a vocalist and carefully crafted a game plan to bring out the best in me. She pushes me to be my best, but she has an uncanny ability to know when to press for more and when to take her foot off of the gas. It's easy to follow her lead because she is a coach with an impressive track record of performing both as an instrumentalist and vocalist as well as writing and recording her own music. Her greatest asset though in my opinion is her desire to see her students succeed; she genuinely cares. And she employees a teaching style that is very welcoming and encouraging yet challenging and rewarding. The proof is in the pudding though. I went from being a guy with zero confidence to someone who can step on stage and perform with a vocal ensemble, sing a solo for my church or even lead worship. I am proof that if you're willing to listen to her advice and work hard at your craft then Rebecca can extract a little gold from within you too.

Now offering lessons in "Voice and Performance in Jacksonville! I am a seasoned professional in the Entertainment Industry, having more than 20 years of combined training in Classical Voice, Guitar and Piano and nearly just as much personal professional experience on Broadway and in the Music Industry. I specialize in developing support technique, tonal recognition, proper pronunciation and pitch training in children and young adults (6-26) and am capable of training for styles as far reaching as R&B, Hip-hop, Heavy Metal, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, and Broadway. All lessons are recorded and will take place in my home studio, students will always leave with a CD or mp3 of their session, as well as their required vocal exercises until the next session. There will be some required texts for certain students, which are intended to help these students with their ability to read music and for their ability to recognize pitches-- I can provide temporary copies of the texts if necessary. Warning: There are no coaches out there like me. I do not prescribe to any of the closed-minded teaching methods most teachers use. I use techniques drawn from all traditional methods as well as alternative techniques for commercial singers. Prior to the first lesson, Students will be asked to email a list of their 5 favorite songs, these must be reasonably within their vocal range. This is a tool for me to get to know the student and to understand the direction they wish to take as a musician. ------------- Each hour session will include: > 10 minutes for vocal warm-up and vocal technique training > 30 minutes to recap on the previous week's song > 10 minutes for pitch training > 10 minutes of preparation on the next week's vocal assignments. Currently, Vocal Sessions will cost $70 for an hour. Youths (6-10) will be $50 for an hour. This is a deal! Most Manhattan vocal coaches close to my level of expertise would be charging a flat rate of 135$. I understand the economy is low, music shouldn't have to suffer - thus my rates. (I'm sorry but due to my recent relocation to Florida, my website is temporarily down.) I am also offering guitar lessons at a rate of $35 per hour.
I am experienced, talented, patient and able to work with all ages. I make music fun, yet able to turn even the more challenging voices into accomplished singers.
I have been teaching music, piano, singing, instrumental music, and acting for over 20 years. I teach from home and from a music studio. I have experience with all ages and all levels.
