I am originally from Paris, France, and I have been offering French lessons/tutoring/conversations for both adults and children for more than 4 years. I give one-on-one/small group French language lessons from the comfort of your own home via Skype. Lessons are tailor made for each student according to your level, and cover all aspects of the modern French language (grammar, writing, vocabulary, listening and comprehension, conversation and pronunciation of the spoken language), all in an easy and fun way to learn. I use the interactive way so students get to speak French with me from the first lesson.

Hi, my name is Nadia; I'm from northern Italy. I have been instructing Italian and other languages for 5 years. My method of teaching comes from my own personal experience as a student. My best foreign language teachers were those who were enthusiastic in class, so enthusiasm and motivation are my motto too. I don't believe that one teaching method fits all, so I use a variety of methods and techniques to help you become an independent learner and to gain communicative competence in Italian. My lessons for beginners are usually structured but as soon as I see that you feel comfortable, I tend to focus more on communication.

    About

Bonjour, I provide effective French lessons. No, I am not going to fill up your brain with grammar that you won't use and no, you won't have to follow books. Yes, I am picky about pronunciation. Why? Because what good is it to know a language if nobody can understand you when you speak it? I'll give you tips on how to sound French. A language is like music; when you sing depending on the note, you place your tongue, your lips or you open your throat in a certain way. It's automatic in your native language, and you can learn to sound French. Yes, I'll make you write and sign a contract of homework: reading your notes three times just after the lesson. This is not because I am lazy but for your own progress. It is proven that if you read or listen (you can come with a recorder) three times right after the lesson, your brain will remember 80% instead of 20. So, you don't waste your time nor your money! A question: What's the best way to learn a language fast? How did you learn your native language? Yes, that's right, by listening and associating a sound (word) to an object, person or action. At three years old, nobody bothered you with a grammar book, right? Learning a language should be a fun experience, and nowadays, it's almost a must. If you master French and English, you can go all over Europe, Africa and the Islands, and depending on your job, get a raise or even a girlfriend or a wife! (Yes, it happened. One of my students is happily married right now.) About my experience: I have three years of experience as a french Teacher at NATO and seven years as a live interpreter and translator. I do not only teach a language but also a culture. If you go to France, Belgium, Switzerland, the West Indies or Africa, the customs are different, and it is always a plus to understand a people, to find favor and broaden your mind and understanding. Let's start!

Thank you for visiting Interpreting the Translator, where you submit material for me to translate. I offer translation and occasionally interpreting in English, German and French. I prefer taking either German or French as the source language, and then translating it into English as the target language. Common needs for translation services, include among other things such as: * Newspaper articles * Magazine articles * Legal documents * Medical documents * Familial documents * Stories I also tutor students and anyone in general who has a will to learn these languages. For more information about these and other terms, please visit my FAQ page on my website. I charge $0.15 per word for both German and French and $50.00 per hour for tutoring students and for interpreting. Once you submit a material, I will then send an invoice through PayPal to your e-mail address. You will then have the option to continue with payment or cancel altogether (please notify me if you wish to cancel, so I may pursue other work). If a deadline is not provided by you, then I can provide one for you. As an estimate, I usually translate around 350 words per hour with CAT (computer-assisted translation) software, but this can vary greatly depending upon what the material is. Generally speaking, once you agree to the terms and pay for such services, I will start on the project as soon as the funds go through. Once I start the project, it will be too late to refund your money. In special circumstances, I may be able to perform a refund, except on work on which I have already accomplished plus a small percentage to make up for the work that I lost. For example, you submit a 5,000-word essay. You change your mind and decide to cancel the project when I've already completed 1,000 words. I will then charge you for the 1,000 words and usually a small percentage to make up for the rest of the work that I lost (this small percentage can vary). Here is a basic example: $0.15 a word x 1,000 words = $150. 5,000 words total - the 1,000 words already completed = 4,000 words x 2% for the work I lost out on = $120. So the total is $150 for what is completed plus $120 for what was not completed = $270. $0.15 x 1,000 = $150 5,000 - 1,000 = 4,000 x 2% = $120 $150 + $120 = $270 Thank you again for visiting, and I hope to hear from you soon.

I provide personal teaching lessons at client's home. I am highly experienced in Spanish. I am perfectly bilingual. I have flexible hours.

    About

I have learned how to gain results as quickly as possible. You still have to put in the time; now, my specialty is in helping you get as much out of that time as possible. In the more than forty-five years since I taught my first lesson, I have learned much about how people of all ages learn music (and I'm still learning myself). That's the difference between someone with forty-five years experience as opposed to one year of experience forty-five times.
