I should preface this by saying that, a few months ago, I hired someone (not through Thumbtack) to help me get organized. It was a disaster. After that experience, I was understandably hesitant to try again with someone else, but my paperwork (and, really, my whole house) was getting worse all the time. So, I hired Karen after the initial interview. As soon as I met her, I knew that she would be a good fit.
Originally, I was going to have her organize only my guest room (which had been a catch-all room for 12 years), but Karen had so many great suggestions (everything from rearranging furniture to purging paperwork), I decided to have her do all 5 rooms. She is like a white tornado and the Energizer Bunny all wrapped in one! She is smart, quick, thorough, dedicated (I can't think of enough superlatives).
To my delight, I found that, not only is she good at what she does, she is a really kind, gifted person who goes way beyond anything I could have ever hoped for in a professional organizer. Hiring Karen was the best gift I've ever given myself -- bar none!
