I live in Connecticut, my son lives in Florida, and tried to install Ikea kitchen cabinets himself. He was running out of time on his kitchen remodel. (having problem with hanging the cabinets and making them level), I reached out to thumbtack for help. Mr. Smith contacted me, we spoke on the phone, he was prompt in returning my calls. Mr. Smith was available and could do the work (hanging cabinets) within 4 days of our speaking. The price quote for the job was very reasonable. He arrived on time, completed the job in a professional manner. My son asked him about other jobs he wants done around the house, quotes were given. Very pleased with the work done, and would recommend Mr. Smith highly.
He did a wonderful job and we are very happy with out cabinet install
He did a great job! Assembled and installed our bathroom sink cabinet, sink, cabinets, mirror and bathroom baseboards. He is extremely responsive and professional. Will hire him in the future!
I hired Steve to paint my kitchen cabinets. His prices were very fair compared to other estimates I had in the past. He showed up exactly when he said he would and he was more than flexible with my somewhat hectic schedule the week he did the work. The cabinets turned out far better than I ever imagined they would. They look brand new and my kitchen looks completely updated. I even had a friend ask if I had all new cabinets installed. That's how great his work is! He cleaned up everything and finished ahead of schedule which made it so easy for me. He did such great work, I had him quote me on another interior painting project and exterior painting for the future. I'm very pleased.
We hired Daryl to build bookshelves and cabinets around our fireplace, plus a custom mantle, and they turned out gorgeous!! Daryl is super responsive to emails- he amazed me at how quickly he got back to us regarding questions, updates, etc. He is also a great person and easy to work with. As for the woodwork, it speaks for itself. Far superior to what we could find in the stores- the build and stain is literally perfect. We will definitely be hiring him next year to build our bar and linen closet cabinets for our basement! Cannot recommend him enough!! -on a side note, we spoke with and got estimates from 5 other cabinet makers. All were comparable in price and their work looked decent. It was Daryl's communication and personality that put him well above the rest. We are so glad we chose him. Thanks Daryl, and God bless!
Carlos is a pro. Knows his stuff. Professional. Has experience and knowledge. I'll definitely use him again. Helped me hang some cabinets and doors in a laundry room. Not a huge job, but enough for me to know he can be relied upon and knows what he is doing.
George was fantastic to work with! From interview in concept stage to completed project a kitchen total remodel he and his team were excellent with communication, cleanliness and aimed to please. The cabinet company he uses is of high quality and very nice looking. George offered many creative ideas to really make my clients new kitchen design fantastic. Thank you for a very successful project!!
My wife recently asked me to re-finish an old wooden file cabinet. It had been painted an ugly green, an my wife thought I could strip the paint and stain it. I knew this would be no easy task, and I suggested, unsuccessfully, that a new oak cabinet would be a better option. I found TwigTree on line, sent Richard photos, and I quickly received a quite reasonable quote from TwigTree. Richard inspected the cabinet, and found it to be "older than dirt" (Richard's quote). Moving parts (including drawer rails and rollers) were wood, not metal. Richard researched the manufacturer (who went out business 70 years ago) and determined this was likely manufactured for the military in WWII (explains the ugly green color). My wife now has a beautiful dark oak file cabinet, and (most amazingly) the drawers slide out with one finger (used to require a mule and a crow bar). I do not hesitate to recommend TwigTree; Richard will surpass your expectations!
Hired Randy to hang a medicine cabinet and mirror. He was on time and very professional. He asked me prior to hanging the mirror if I liked it and I realized it was way too small for the space. Decided to have him change out old outlets for new child safety outlets instead. Had him come back the next week to hang the new mirror which was his idea, a big mirror with white frame. He cut the frame out and hung it and it looks amazing! I wish I could share a photo. He also hooked up our double sinks and installed a towel bar and toilet paper holder. I would highly recommend Randy for any and all jobs. He charges a fair rate and is extremely professional. SO happy to have found him. Will definitely be hiring him in the future for any and all jobs. Thank you again!!

Wow!!!! From the immediate response, same day service, quality and professionalism you can't go wrong. Sal and Mike came to help me hang pictures ...may sound silly but as a single woman with lots of pictures I needed Help! NOT only were the everything listed above but they have an amazing eye for placement, style and design. I accepted their quote thinking I'd finally get some pictures hung and after a quick couple of hours I have an amazing layout of all my pictures including collage walls and hard To hang items. The were fast but exceptionally efficient, quality driven AND they were friendly and comfortable to chat with! Sal mentioned having been raised by an interior design mom And it showed. I will Absolutely be calling them again!
I had a great experience with Chris's Carpentry. My older home had many issues with sticking doors and wood cabinets not closing. Being a senior citizen and on a tight budget I found Chris to be very accommodating with pricing and quality of work. I would recommend him for all of your working needs! I made a list and then I called Chris. It worked out well.
Phil Foster, of KAI Vision Builders Inc. and His Crew did a great job repairing my balcony. He always called to let Me know when He would be here. I highly recommend Him if you need a reliable Contractor. Rm.E. Seminole, FL.
Tom Paul was probably the 5th or maybe the 6th person to come to my home to give me an estimate on building a custom thread cabinet for embroidery thread. All the other guys said they knew what I wanted, wasted an hour or more, took notes and drew diagrams - and then I NEVER heard from them again. Tom not only "got it" - more importantly he "got me." He came to my sewing room and could envision what I wanted - and he could deliver it. It took him about 3 weeks to build this cabinet and build a "surround" for a twin bed so it looks like a platform bed. I have about 300 spools of embroidery thread plus about 26 spools of serger thread - you can see everything fits and there is also room for storing bolts of Pellon and stabilizers - GREAT JOB TOM!!!! AND he's always ON TIME!!! - I'm not related - just elated!
Tommy replaced my screen door, repaired my carport, installed a sink and cabinets, fixed some holes in the walls, and laid flooring for me. He has a lot of experience.
My cabinets are gorgeous! I would highly recommend Bryan - he delivers superior quality and very easy to work with. Thanks, Bryan!

There are hundreds of cabinet makers that claim to make "custom cabinets" but installing cabinets and playing around with crown molding or fancy trim they just bought from a millwork company isn't custom work. Custom work is when you throw away all standards and let the customer tell you what he/she wants you to make. Instead of buying a corner make a corner at your shop and incorporate a secret compartment. Have a full column that looks like a column and feels like a column but hides a special feature. Whenever you the customer asks: " can you add a special trim here?" and the cabinet maker says yes, ask if they are going to make the actual trim or buy it?. If they're buying it, more than likely they are also buying the cabinets. Don't get me wrong, wood is wood here and anywhere else in the world. But I will never grab a brush and compare myself to Michelangelo.
