I've had other trainers in the past, but after becoming a double amputee at age 55 in 2015 and relearning to walk with two prosthetic legs in 2016, I began a special search for a personal trainer with a depth of knowledge, a breadth of experience and the courage and confidence to take on someone newly disabled like me. I needed someone to help motivate me back in the gym again after a two year absence, to help build my confidence again, to push me to get active again, and to help me build muscle again without the risk of bodily injury. The day I interviewed Jason Kasheta I was barely able to get up out of a chair and stand steady to shake his hand. I was weak, had no confidence, and I was terrified of falling in the gym. I figured this guy will never take a sad sack like me on as a client. But to the contrary, Jason gave me hope that with his instruction and my dedication we could rebuild my body into a highly functioning and physically strong man again. Now a little more than a year later, I have made amazing progress with Jason in the gym. I'm walking with confidence again, I'm hitting new personal records each week in my workouts, my strength is visibly improving week by week and I've found a new desire to challenge myself. Jason has pushed me to trust in myself more and more. Alex Latow has been my personal trainer since January of 2015. He trained me while we were both attending Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and will remain as my trainer through the 2015 summer in Deltona, Florida. Alex was always looking for feedback and was always very clear with the goals we were setting both short-term and long-term. He would go above and beyond always on time whether it was 6am before school, or 7pm after track practice he was always there and ready to train. He could always explain the purpose of each exercise and was ready and able to give demonstrations when needed. Alex is an incredibly dedicated individual and I was able to achieve my body fat percentage and weight goals very quickly thanks to Alex's knowledge with diet plans, cardiovascular, and strength training.
Just a quick note to thank you for everything you have done while training me over the last few months. Your outstanding ability to explain the different aspects of nutrition and provide amazing sets of workouts made the last six weeks extremely enjoyable. After losing 7 lbs., this challenge has helped me gain perspective on how simple weight maintenance and weight loss can be. Elite Strength & Fitness fits into my schedule and is an efficient and effective way to exercise. The one on one training has left me feeling confident. Having had back issues for years, I have been thrilled with the strengthening exercises. It has made a huge difference in how I feel. The climate controlled room is chilled and I leave feeling great and not drenched in sweat. It is so nice not to have to deal with a health club scene. Mario assesses your current level and gives the right workouts accordingly. He is also very encouraging and uplifting. He definitely gives a positive experience with personal training and helps you to improve without criticizing in any way. You can not become a world champion athlete without having a daily plan, motivation, personal accountability and or access to educated/experienced consulting/ training. I started with working with Gary when I was 12 years old, I just had to get in the gym to get ready for football/wrestling like my big cousin.... Problem was, I couldn't do a push up yet... We had to start small, 2.5 pound weights, pushups on our knees and build our way up... The goal was to wrestles in the Team USA uniform like Kurt Angle, play football snap to an NFL quarterback... But first thing first we had to do learn how to do some push ups...... Hundreds of kids came through the gym, some of them were jumping on the bench press, some of them were jumping on the squat rack, we kept working on these safe exercises.... Gary kept telling me safety and repetition will lead to results... A few years and hundreds of baby steps later... I could do quite a few push ups, and quite a few bench presses at 225... and a mailbox full of scholarship offers and letters from division coaches... I was big, strong, well conditioned, and healthy... I got the opportunity to Wrestle Division for Arizona State University winning a Greco Roman University National Title in 2007 and played on the gridiron with Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler as a back-up center ( not bad for not playing football past freshman year of hs) I cumulated my career with a World Bronze Medal, 5 Team USA selections, and Retired after a 12 year international career in 2016 having gotten the opportunity to travel the world competing in the Rio Olympic Qualifiers as Far as Australia, Poland, Russia, and even American Samoa.... I was exposed to alot of strength coaches after my time with Naturally Fitt, and picked up some bad exercise habbits, trying to take short cuts which ultimately would always lead to injuries... After having been around the elite of the elite in sports performance (US Olympic Training Center, Arizona State University athletic department, University of Iowa Athletic Dept) I can say that Gary's method of training safely, challenging the body, and creating a positive mental environment while putting the body under physical stress was the best my body EVER performed to.... Although I do not live in the area conducive to training I have gone back to many of the basics taught to me by Gary for Nutrition and exercise to return muscle balance. Physical Fitness matters no matter what your goals are... The amount of people who fail to have the results they wish to achieve in their careers, their social life, simply because they are not in healthy enough condition to challenge the day is down right disappointing if we really think about it. I see people walking down the street that if given free superbowl tickets probably couldn't handle the half mile walk through the parking lot and 2 hundred stairs to even get to go to the game.... Your health is a pivotal side in achieving LIFE SUCESS. I have been working with Andrew about 2 years. I first hired him because he is a Marine and my son was looking for a trainer to be better prepared for his sophomore year at The Citadel in SC. Ge was going for an Army ROTC scholarship. Well he qualified for his scholarship and I decided to work with Andrew. He has a lot of training knowledge & changes up the routine so it stays fresh. I feel better at going on 64 than I did at 44!
Matt has been by far the best trainer/coach I have ever worked with . He is the real deal , no b.s. gimmicks here. You will focus on progressions and proper technique to get you to your desired goals. His knowledge base is second none and encompasses a broad spectrum of modalities ( sport/athletic training, kettlebell, bodybuilding , gymnastics ect ) . I promise you won't be disappointed
Jake is one of the most caring loving and funniest trainer I ever met. He really makes you feel comfortable he makes you feel like you are at home he treats you like you are family and not just me he treats everyone the same. Such an amazing guy!
