Sarah is a really supportive teacher who is willing to work with my busy schedule. This was my first time taking lessons in someone's home, but her space is great -- it's open, well-lit, beautiful. She's very professional, but also warm and approachable. She's always telling me not to judge myself when I sing, which is definitely my first instinct but hinders the growth process. It is a huge strength of hers to make a student feel at ease in what can be for some a vulnerable and intimidating setting. She seems eager to challenge her students towards improvement, but not in a way that is overwhelming or burdensome. I have felt like her approach to my lessons has been individualized to my unique circumstances, background and goals. I have only been taking lessons with Sarah briefly, but she seems to be willing to and used to working with all levels, which is essential if you're looking for a teacher that is going to continue to challenge you as you improve.

I had a great first session with Tony today and there were many things that stood out to me. As a professional, he is very understanding and aware of what students are limited by or how they feel. That understanding helped a lot with getting me comfortable to open up my voice. He is also very observant in regards to what mistakes are being made but he encourages you to keep trying. It was a wonderful and confidence boosting experience and I can't wait to keep taking lessons.

  8. #8 Vocal Coaching by Kim

    (5 reviews)

    Elma J.

Kim is so good! A Vocal Coach you will love to be working with. Her hearing skill is amazing so she will notice your slips and help you correct them. She also tries different ways to explain things so that everything is completely clear. Something else? Sure! She is so comprehensive and scheduling a lesson with her is easy. I'm not giving her 5 stars only 'cause I have trouble trying to get a few things I learned a different way and she uses antoher technique so I get confused sometimes. That's it. She's definitely a nice coach! Enroll with her and you'll get what I'm talking about. Such a nice person! Oh... P.S. Lessons are so affordable so... Let me say you won't find anyone else who fulfills all these great attributes better than her! ;)

Best Vocal Coach Ever!!! That's a promise!... Working with Princess was the best decision I could've ever made! She is not only a vocal coach and performer, she is also inspiring, a motivator and truly wants to see you be your absolute best. In one night, my very first lesson, Princess and her friend Maestro gave me a brand new lease on life with my voice. I had to prepare for a last minute solo and they coached me on everything from breathing to tone to stage performance/presence and most importantly making it my own. I felt so much more confident in my solo. I look forward to continued ongoing training with Princess and would hands down recommend her for anyone seeking vocal training :)

I have a background in music from a guitar, sax, piano point of view. Concerning voice, I have a narrow focus of learning for singing including really just being able to sing a few existing artist's styles: Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen and Amos Lee. I say this because I would like an instructor who knows and respects these artists and this type of music. I am not interested in general instruction. You will waste both of our times if you try to pair me with anyone else. Just saving us all some grief.
