Ms. Roberts was very thorough and quick with the cleaning. Great personality and really knows what she's doing. My apartment looked amazing when she was done with it. Pleasant to talk to and also has one of the best cleaning service prices out there. Definitely will be giving her a call back when the house gets dirty again. Lol. P.s. And she is a great personal chef for all you out there that don't like to cook much.

My name is Eric Hawkins and I am a Certified Specialist of Wine employed at the KR Steakbar in Atlanta, GA. I have had the extreme pleasure of working with Ms. Sonya King on a few enjoyable occasions. I first took notice of her skills four years ago. In a cooking demonstration she displayed remarkable culinary skill in her cooking and baking techniques with great attention to detail. Ms. King has always impressed me with her strong work ethic. She is a strong self-starter who invariably understands exactly what the project entails from the outset and how to effectively complete it. We have also worked on a collaboration effort which was a Wine Tasting Dinner. Ms. King planned, created, and prepared all of the dishes served at the event. I, on the other hand presented and served the wines that were paired with each dish. Ms. King has shown a noticeable ability to meet major deadlines with resourcefulness and functions well as a team member or leader if required. She exhibits superb verbal and communication skills and is a wonderful asset to the culinary profession. If you would like any further elaboration feel free to contact me at jhawkinswines@yahoo.com Sincerely, Eric Hawkins

Chef Lou was absolutely awesome! My husband and I took several cooking classes at our home with Lou and we now have skills we use on a regular basis. We learned about all different types of cuisine and had a blast while doing it, Lou was flexible and worked with our schedules to make each lesson interesting and useful. I highly recommend him for a cooking class, fun date night, or a dinner party where you need delicious food:)

I am a big fan of taking Asian cooking classes and really enjoyed the most recent class taught by Natalie Keng. My daughter who is 9 joined me for the Natalie's most recent dumpling class. The content was perfect and the amount of hands on cooking we had to do was also just enough. We really liked the hands on aspect. Loved having the napa salad along with the dumplings. Finishing with the Lychees was a very nice touch. I also appreciated the historical perspective of dumplings and for what occasions they are used for in China. Making the dumplings using store bought wraps and using home made dough was a nice comparison as well. We look forward to taking more classes Natalie.

We have contracted with Mike to come to our home for cooking lessons with my teenagers. This was the first of several lessons. He had a great rapport with the kids, and they are excited about the upcoming lessons. The food challenged their skill level with a delicious outcome. I highly recommend Mr. Ruppert for such services.

Wow! This woman can cook! I cannot wait to take another one of her classes. I always thought that some of these dishes would be very complicated but Wanda really made it look easy. I have recently impressed friends by making "Fish Meuniere" - they couldn't get enough of it! I cannot say enough good things.

I am a beginner cook and my focus is learning how to cook basic meals and more advanced cooking in the near future. I am well pleased with the cooking lessons that Latoya provided, she was patient and provided good information regarding seasoning food and how to make my meals with a touch of my own flavor. I look forward to having more cooking lessons with Latoya soon!

Awesome! John gave us everything I was looking for plus a little more. Taught me some things as well. John was also a nice guy to converse with so the experience was smooth. I'd like to call it "Conversational Cooking." I would definitely recommend him.

I had so much fun learning to cook with chef Isaac. He created a relaxed and fun atmosphere to learn in. Chef Isaac is very knowledgeable about ingredients and special diets. He showed us techniques to create healthy and delicious vegan food easily. He introduced us to ingredients that were new to me and now I use them all the time. The class I attended included not only vegans & vegetarians but also meat eaters interested in adding new and healthy meals to their diets. Even picky eaters were left happy! I plan to attend another one of Chef Isaac's cooking classes at a later date. It's a great night out. You will not be disappointed!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
