After my initial request to find a tutor for Spanish, Billy contacted me quickly with a quote. Within that same week he matched me with a tutor within his organization and we began our sessions. It was quick and easy and now I have a great tutor.
I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who takes English classes with Jocelyn and her team. We are happy in the progress that we see and my mom looks forward to her English lessons.
Mr. Marquette tutors my daughter in math. He is very professional. He makes learning math fun for her. I highly recommend their services. You will not be disappointed.
Ms. Arp tutors my 9-year-old fourth grader twice per week with a focus on reading and writing. Prior to beginning her sessions, Ms. Arp met with me to gauge my child's needs. She was very thorough in her assessment of my wants and obviously very knowledgeable about best practices in teaching and remediation. I felt very comfortable being honest about my child's weaknesses and my fears for his future. Ms. Arp put me at ease, though, when she explained to me her plan for bringing my child up to grade level in reading. Ms. Arp spent the first sessions diagnosing my child's reading abilities. From there, she paid close attention to what he was doing in his classroom lessons, and her tutoring reflected the same subject matter as his teacher's lessons. If his class was working on identifying the main idea, that's what my child would work on with Ms. Arp during tutoring. Whenever I had a new idea for an area of focus, Ms. Arp always listened and changed her lessons to address those concerns. I feel like Ms. Arp is part of the larger team of folks who care about my child's education. My child has gained confidence and tangible skills thanks to Ms. Arp. I am grateful that we found a tutor who offered a convenient schedule and a reasonable rate. Giving your child the best opportunities in life should not exist solely for the wealthy. Ms. Arp allows my family to afford the extra academic attention while still having enough left over to keep my child in other extra-curricular activities. We could not have asked for a better tutor. Thanks, Ms. Arp!
I love how you can split your hours between different tutors. I was able to use some hours for Calculus, some hours for chemistry and some hours for English.
We found Robert in the middle of the school year in 2014. Our 8 year old son was having a very challenging time with math, and his father and I were not able to assist him without us all ending up beyond frustrated. Robert is soft spoken, kind, patient, encouraging an effective! Our sons grades have improved, and he comes home from school telling us that math is easier for him than it used to be! We would highly recommend Robert to any parent considering a math tutor for their student.
I tried to study and practice on my own for the GRE, but after I got my terrible scores back I knew I needed tutoring. My tutor was always punctual (often earlier than I was!) and thoughtfully prepared for our sessions based on my needs. I did poorly in the GRE quant section, so we worked on improving my confidence and speed (a lot of focus on strategy) doing GRE math problems. After re-taking the test, I scored 9 points higher! Obviously, I had to work hard to get these results, but a huge chunk of my success is because of my tutor.
Gary is a fantastic tutor, but even more, he is a kind and patient mentor. When our son started working with Gary, we immediately saw the light come on. He started to understand pre-calculus and his confidence increased ten fold. Gary made him realize that he could not only do the math, but he could master it. Gary is outstanding at explaining and demonstrating so that our son was able to understand and carry what he had learned back to the classroom. He is a rare find and a blessing to our family.
I enjoyed the ACT tutoring course because I was given the same about of effort from my tutor, Mrs. Hypolite that I put into the lessons. She helped me increase my composite score 4 points. We set a goal, and focuced on each subject and where I needed to improve it. Our lessons were never rushed and I met each of my sub score goals successfully.
Paul is very knowledgeable and interested in his Spanish language students. He establishes respect quickly; and he is patient with our teenage daughter. He is always dependable.
Melissa has been tutoring both our children for about 4 years. Both were behind when they started with her, both are in the advanced classes now. Our 5th grader scored in the top 96% on the standardized Iowa test, our 3rd grader in the top 94% - we credit Melissa's tutoring for those scores. She's great about communicating with teachers to find out where the kids need help. Each of our children learn differently...Melissa is able to find fun and creative ways to craft custom learning plans to maximize her time with them.
My daughter always seemed to have panic attacks leading up to tests. I was desperate to find a way for her to be comfortable especially as SATs were coming up. All I can say is after a few weeks with the tutors and life coaches at Chelsea International Education, my daughter’s confidence level went up a lot. She was not only prepared to take her SATs but her core academic skills have improved tremendously, which has helped her with her AP exams. The fact that all of the Chelsea tutors are fully qualified teachers, I think makes a major difference and really sets them apart. It really is a quality service and I am very happy to recommend them to anyone.
Miss Marsha was my teacher when I just came to the U.S. Moreover, she is always my teacher and my friends. I always feel lucky to have her to be my teacher at that time because I was in stuck with my English skill in class; but with her help, I improved a lot like today I am. She is an enthusiastic teacher. However, you should be a diligence student if you want to become her student. In fact, she just wants the best for you. Finally, I want to say thank you to her, my teacher!
We have know Lynn Marshall for 6 years. She has tutored both our sons. It doesn't matter what subject they are learning, Lynn is always on top of it. She has a real passion for learning and teaching that is simply unparalleled. Lynn has a remarkable ability to make anyone understand any subject. She is patient, and attentive, discerning readiness and helping students overcome fears and previous defeating experiences. We recommend Lynn for any student at any age.
Atlanta Tutors listened to my needs for my daughter and found the perfect person to work with her. They are responsive, follow-up, and are truly concerned with how things are working out. I would highly recommend them.
