My family loves music, and some of us even play some string instruments. But I was nervous enrolling my five-year-old son in guitar lessons. Is it too early? Can he sit still through practices and lessons? Thank goodness I found Jay Rudd. His patient, warm, methodical approach has empowered us to become at-home teachers and given our son constant, little challenges and achievements to be proud of. He's enjoying decoding the language of music and participating in creating some tunes.

About

My work stands out because I take a more relational approach than most. Some people teach simply to make money or take up time, I teach because I want someone else to know the feeling that comes with performing for people, the sense of accomplishment you get when you overcome the song you couldn't play before, and the confidence that comes over time with the increase of skill. Music can be a great way to increase a persons confidence level - I know it did for me. So my music stands out because you not only learn how to skillfully play, but you gain life lessons and skills that will help you in everyday living.
