Our water heater went out, and he came after his regular job, picked up the water heater for us from Lowe’s, and had everything fixed quickly and professionally. Communication was excellent from start to finish. There was heavy traffic across the island due to a major freeway accident, yet he stayed in constant contact, kept us updated on his ETA, and still arrived on time. That alone says a lot. He took the time to explain all safety precautions, showed us how to properly use the water heater, and told us exactly what to do if anything goes wrong in the future. On top of that, he gave us the best deal we were offered, hands down. It’s honestly refreshing and encouraging to see young local boys working hard, building a skill, and creating a better living for themselves. After commencing work, he also was very resourceful in immediately bringing in an assistant to help fix a newly found leak in a supply line as time was critical. Nick was fantastic. I had a sink stopper stuck in the middle of the bathroom pipe. It took him approximately seven minutes or less to remove it. He did not have to remove the pipes to get that stopper out, unbelievably fast on the job and he gave me a very very reasonable price. Nick is very upbeat nice dependable plumber. Our bathtub was clogged and our kitchen sink flowed into the bathtub with food particles last night (1/1/23). Joseph was able to clear the clog and was very knowledgeable with his expertise. I would give Jack from Hawaii Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Squad a 20 star ⭐️ if I could! My issue was replacing shower cartridges so the shower water could run normal again without only just hot water. It eventually became too scalding hot to take a shower 🚿 I called almost every plumber I could find on google and none of them and I mean absolutely None of them could figure out what shower cartridges that I needed for my shower! The only solution they all told me was to replace the whole shower basically a remodel of the entire shower including removing tile! Wow, I couldn’t believe it. Cost was $6,000 to $8,000 in repairs! I was so distraught! 2 and half years later! I stumbled into Hawaii Plumbing and Draining Cleaning Squad! On Thumbtack! Jack came and replaced my 2 shower cartridges and I’ve been enjoying my showers ever since! Saved over $7,750! I would and will recommend their company to everyone I meet! Jack, response was immediate, he showed up on time and was very polite and informative and the price was very affordable!!! Happily Showering in Waikiki

I looked forward to seeing Brian today but he called and told me he was on his way and then 20 minutes later he texted me to say his transmission lost its third gear and he wasn’t going to make it. He then texted again and said that his transmission was just broke. I’m writing this review because I don’t believe I will hear from him again. Does he really do plumbing work , I just needed a water line for my refrigerator installed if I by chance hear from him again I will update my review in the meantime I will try and find a new plumber I also feel Thumbtack is not so good if they could only find 1 plumber I’d be better off using Google.

I received a phone call shortly after I had submitted a request for help / service call yesterday morning. I wasn’t able to provide photos at the time I submitted my request as I wasn’t at home and was going to meet with a client for work soon, but I was able to communicate the issues and the situation over our phone call. Emerso (sp?) and his partner were able to come help out with plumbing issues at my apartment the same day I reached out for help. He was in constant contact/communication with me, which was greatly appreciated. My partner and I have been experiencing on and off / back and forth issues with our shower/tub drainage as well as our bathroom sink drainage. Our tub took hours to drain and it would be disgusting to shower standing in puddle/bath water that would be above our ankles. We woke up yesterday morning to find that our bathroom sink water didn’t go down the drain at all. My partner heard trickling noises and discovered that the pipe leaked, soaking everything in the sink base cabinet, and leaking onto our bathroom floors. Our sink base cabinet door even broke off! Emerso (sp?) and his partner quickly fixed our bath tub drainage issue. Me and my hair was majority of the culprit, embarrassingly enough, but I’m making sure I clean the drain more often now to prevent this kind of issue again. They were also able to fix the bathroom sink drainage as well! The last and only issue left is that I have to replace the pipe with a new one as it was too old and rusty, and still leaking. Emerso (sp?) is very knowledgeable. Him and his partner are very friendly, kind, and have a great sense of humor, too. They are coming back on Monday to finish up the job by replacing the old rusty pipe with a new pipe so that it will no longer leak. He told me over the phone earlier, that if he is unable to fix my drainage problems, that I wouldn’t have to pay him anything. I still greatly appreciate him, his partner, and their time! They came straight from Kailua/Kaneohe to town side during normal afternoon/early evening traffic time and they took their time to ensure they did their best job with quality work and effort. They even cleaned up the debris that came from the drainage repairs as well as trying to figure out what was going on with the pipe. I will be paying them once they finish replacing the pipe tomorrow. Me and my partner were very relieved to have been able to shower comfortably last night and this morning! I’m glad to say I have redownloaded Thumbtack and found Ekahi Home Improvements! Excellent service!
